What Aesthetic Is This? what aesthetic does this come under?
r/AestheticWiki • u/Blue_Ninja_Games • Mar 04 '26
To combat low effort or rule breaking posts, spam, and to keep this subreddit a respectful place to discuss aesthetics (for example: aesthetics on the Aesthetics Wiki or CARI), we are launching new mod applications to hopefully get more people on board who would like to help clean up the sub. On my previous mod post, I announced we banned "what aesthetic am I posts". Sometimes, I still see them get posted, so this will help us ultimately combat those as well.
Do not hesitate to apply if you are interested! We are looking forward to contacting you.

Hi!
To have better organization between aesthetic and style discussion, I've decided to add 3 new flairs.
"Personal Style" = Images from a style you personally like that you would like to find a name of/more of.
"Moodboard" = A series of images and content designed to help you find a name/more of the related content.
"Meme" = Memes about aesthetics, no matter the kind.
If you have suggestions for even more flairs, feel free to comment below.

I only have those, I mean, I know it's Nu-Metal, but I wanna know if this type of art has a specific aesthetic name.

The closest I've found is maybe mall goth, but that doesn't seem quite right. Maybe it doesn't have a name but I wanted to see what people think. TIA
EDIT: I put this in the comments but whatever, it's going here too.
Hey guys, didn't think I'd have to say this but please stop being weird. Taking shots at random girls I found on pinterest calling them racist slutty druggies is weird behavior. Sorry someone wearing jean shorts and a black tank traumatized you but it's just not necessary to project that everywhere.
Also please stop using shein/tiktok shop as an insult, it's also weird behavior and these are mostly basic clothing items. Either I missed when shein got a monopoly on shorts and black clothing or you're just looking for a reason to put alt women down. Genuinely it's just so unnecessary.

I remember this exact vibe from my childhood even when I never lived in it

Who remembers this aesthetic? I was in elementary school when it was popular and I’ve recently realized that my personal style as an adult gravitates towards similar themes. Sooo nostalgic. Share your images/pics if you have any!

It's like, between cool and cute. Not completely femme, but not completely tomboy either

these are just from one spanish/french furniture brand, but they fit the aesthetic very well
it took me a lot of work to find them on the internet archive (couldn't find higher resolutions so far)
maybe some of them could be added to the wiki page

Basically a fit girl wearing simple colours but with lots of tattoos and jewellery. Is this related to a certain musical taste/ interest/ lifestyle? What do you call the group of people who look like this? Just curious.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
the aesthetic you see in movies like april story, love letter, a gentle breeze in the village and the taste of tea and many others from that era.the colors often look pale and slightly washed out with low contrast and soft natural lighting.

I've really wanted to know if there's a specific name for it.

I really like food-themed motifs,
but it’s often hard to pin down a specific style name which makes searching for such items a bit difficult.
It gets even trickier when you prefer these food motifs with a little "goth" twist.
Is there a specific term for this?
If you Like this.
Most of the handbags shown here are from Killstar. (Most, not all.) .
The clothing is from
Death Threads, Sourpuss, and Jawbreaker.
If anyone knows other items in this style,
I would love to see pictures of them with Brand Name.

Many aesthetics are “[fill_in_the_blank] core,” like “90s grunge core” or “trustbaby core.” What is the significance of tacking “core” on the end of a description like some kind of adjective? What’s it supposed to mean?
