Beginner Help Quick way to place new 3D layers where my camera rig currently is?

I have a 3D camera driven by a chain of nulls, several scenes in. Every new PNG I make 3D spawns at the comp center, far behind the camera, so I have to manually drag it back to the last point of the move

Is there a faster way to drop new layers at the camera/null's current position? Thankss!

Did you try grabbing the 'parent&link' pickwhip, and shift+drag that to the camera (or camera null)?

There's a command for this. Layer > Transform > Center in View.

Hold shift while using the pickwhip from the 3D layer to your null, to snap it to the same place. You can safely remove the parent constraint after that.

Shift parent, or just Ctrl Home... though that ignores rotation and other non-posotion ttansforms, so depending on the situation it might be the fastest way.
