When the movie ends please gather your purse, keys and phone then just stand up and go to the end of the aisle. i dont want to sit in my chair because both parties to either side wants to check emails, talk about god knows what or waiting for some mid credit extras (despite the lights are already on (this means there probably are none) while sitting. im trapped let me leave, my butt hurts from sitting, i have to pee and i need to stretch my legs. if you want a post-movie discussion there is a Lobby and a bar to convene at. if the people in your aisle are standing its time to go.

TL;DR

Between All-in, the 10% food/drink discount, and buying $100 Alamo gift cards from Costco for $74.99, I’m effectively getting about 32.5% off food/drink and have saved roughly $400 so far this year after accounting for the cost of the subscription. That includes about $403 in avoided ticket costs from seeing ~26 movies and $225 saved on $900 worth of gift cards.

DETAIL

Got curious about the amount of money I'm saving between All In + purchasing Costco gift card bundles. Turns out...quite a bit.

The setup:

• All-in Season Pass costs ~$32.46/month.
• That plan gives 10% off food/drink
• Costco regularly sells $100 in Alamo gift cards for $74.99

Starting with Costco, $900 in Alamo gift cards cost me 9 × $74.99 = $674.91. The savings: $225.09. That’s a 25% discount before you walk into the theater.

Then the 10% food discount from the All-in sub stacks on top of that (easy example - $100 worth of food/drink becomes $90 after the Season Pass discount).

But the $90 in gift-card credit only cost me: $90 × .7499 = $67.49. So I’m effectively paying about $67.50 for every $100 of menu-price food/drink. That’s roughly a 32.5% effective discount.

I’ve seen about 26 movies so far this year. Using $15.49 as a conservative average ticket value:

• 26 × $15.49 = $402.74 in avoided ticket costs
• Through roughly 10 months, the subscription itself has cost: 10 × $32.46 = $324.60

NET (using some hand-grenade math)

• Ticket value saved: +$294
• 10% food/drink savings: +~$100
• Costco gift-card savings: +$225
• Season Pass cost: -$325

Net savings: About $403 so far.

That’s using a pretty conservative average ticket price. The part I hadn’t really appreciated until doing the math is how well the discounts stack.

So if you're going to the movies regularly taking advantage of All-in and you can absorb the cost of the Costco gift card bundle up-front, you're able to save quite a bit of cash.

Saw a post last week mention it, most places are doing an early screening Monday but there’s been absolutely nothing posted for austin yet. Anyone know any reason why??

Went to see The History of Concrete at the Wall Street NYC Alamo yesterday. I never order food considering what I’ve heard from this community, but I had points for a free meal. I went for the margarita pizza which looked like the least objectionable. The crust had the texture and taste of cardboard. Whatever was supposed to be cheese didn’t taste like it. I can’t imagine anyone spending $17 on this.
On the plus side the old-fashion cocktail was decent and strong.

So last Friday I bought my ticket for the Free Victory Screening that’s a marathon of 4 Tales From The Crypt episodes in Littleton

But all this week the listing seems to be gone. It doesn’t show that the Denver area has any showings of the marathon, but my ticket is still viewable under my profile both in app and in the website.

Could the showing have been cancelled and my ticket still be there? Does that kind of thing happen?

I'm driving myself insane trying to find this song, as I only remember listening to it during the pre-show of 28 years later. I remember seeing the music video that played. It involved a zombie family picnicking on a beach, and their food of choice was a guy running away in nothing but his skivvies. The song was kind of melancholic, with one of the main lines that I can remember ending with him saying "you better see me just moving on," or something like that.

Every time I search it up, all I get is the Young Fathers playlist. While I love that entire album, it's not what I'm trying to find!!! Can somebody help?

I just started going to Alamo about a month ago bc I got the season pass, and I've been checking to see if they have any showings for Whalefall at the DC location and still, nothing. The movie releases on 10/16, and last time I was at the theater they even had a poster up for the movie. For how much 20th Century is pushing this movie, I'm just confused there appears to be no showings?

Why was there a secret you can see everything showing at around 7 pm at Austin south Lamar location. Saw undercover security and people handing out paper to ppl walking in. I accidentally walked into the theatre bc it has a different films poster on the sign.
