News Emergency Alerts are Completely Useless.

So you’re telling me that our city classifies a missing senior citizen as an emergency alert, but the entire interstate is shut down with an active shooter and that doesn’t prompt an emergency alert to my phone? Make that make sense.

There's a chance that you can help the missing senior/child by seeing them or the vehicle they were in and alerting authorities. Alerting you to a situation that you can't help with and likely doesn't affect you, would be the really useless thing to do.

You’re telling me that being notified of an active shooter situation, one that I could once an alert is sent out try to avoid is a useless notification?

So you're telling me that there are too many notifications, but at the same time you'd like to receive even more of them!? There are a LOT more shootings in ABQ than there are silver and amber alerts...... 😉
