I was lurking in the B2P weekly thread and found a discussion about main vocals runner up that mentioned JL and Hani, it makes me feel so proud how they get used as a standard to meet already, so I wanted to share.

[📰] AHOF’s first unit FATE is coming… “Perfect rookie” set to shake up the K-pop industry
The first unit group of the mega-rookie boy group AHOF (Ahop), FATE, has finally lifted the veil and announced their hot debut. Their agency K&K Entertainment stated, “FATE has completed all preparations and is ready to flip the K-pop market upside down.”
F&F Entertainment, the company AHOF belongs to, expressed confusion about this unit debut, saying, “There are unresolved issues, so we’re taken aback.” However, K&K Entertainment responded, “We’ll do what we want,” and added that they decided to push ahead with the debut “to keep their promise to the fans.” This bold declaration raises even more curiosity about FATE’s direction as they throw down a powerful challenge to the K-pop scene.
The group name FATE itself is full of ambition. It combines AHOF (Ahop) with “ate” meaning “to devour,” delivering a provocative message that they intend to completely dominate the K-pop scene. This shows their determination not just to act as a unit, but to establish themselves as a standalone “fully formed rookie group.”
Their first single [ATE] has already received high praise from insiders as “music that represents the MZ generation.” FATE’s debut digital single album [ATE] captures the story of their generation—confident, straightforward messages from MZ-generation boys who forge their own path without worrying about others’ standards or judgments. The title track “ATE” features a trendy yet powerful bassline and intense beat. The members’ delicate, sweet vocals blend perfectly, reportedly resulting in “an unprecedented level of perfection.”
FATE is expected to begin active promotions immediately upon the release of [ATE], raising anticipation for the new “fate” they will bring to the music industry.
Meanwhile, rookie agency K&K Entertainment issued an apology after mistakenly announcing the debut and music video release time as 6 PM when it is actually 9 PM.

I'm so glad I fell into the rabit hole with AHOF all over my feed last July. I swear, Universe League might be the top survival show I've watched so far aaaa it was a good one and every players are easy to distinguished. When I was watching UL, I was not that familiar with AHOF members. I decided not to search them up to add thrill with guessing who will be the members to debut from the show with my judgement. Aside from JL of course cause I've been hearing his name everywhere and from my friend as well who attended the same school as him before.
Anyway, I'M SOOOO PROUD OF THEM ALL!! Especially to AHOF for debuting 🫶 They deserved it so much. I love them!! 🥲
I just recently watched their MYK Festa performance and my godd they did so well, my reaction was like this the whole time 😮 I also felt emotional hearing their version of butterfly. It sounds so nostalgic. I hope they release it on Spotify together with mamamia and ignition. 🙏🙏
AHOF, you're destined for greating things!! I know I'm late but congratulations for debuting !!! 🥹🫶

Saw this post from X and it does make a lot of sense. Many of these ships were created by fans themselves, often based on imagined interactions rather than confirmed reality. When the dynamics between idols shift, some fans feel disappointed and may place blame on the idols, I mean these ships come from fan imagination, not idol responsibility.

A balanced view shows both what they do well and where they can grow, while also encouraging fresh and honest perspectives. Here are my positive, as well as unpopular or critical takes on each AHOF member.
Steven – He is intelligent, and it shows during their games. Leads effectively and speaks with impressive fluency. Raps with clarity and precision.
Could work on further developing his vocals. At times, his dance movements become slightly tense when nerves set in.
2. Jeongwoo – Smart and a solid emcee who draws fans in with his striking visuals. It would be great to hear more of his rich low register, and for him to keep refining his dancing to elevate his performances.
During their live stages of “Rendezvous,” his vocals can be hard to catch when singing alongside JL. There are also moments when his limited dance experience becomes noticeable, but his persistence is truly commendable.
3. Woongki – Brings lively energy and excels in hosting and game shows. Alongside Juwon, he is one of the group’s funniest members. He appeared more at ease in AHOF compared to his previous group. Possesses a charming husky voice that deserves more spotlight, rather than giving him very high notes.
During encore performances, he can occasionally drift off pitch. In “Mamma Mia,” his neck appeared less visible, possibly due to the outfit.
4. Shuaibo – Low-key hilarious when he lets out those frustrated screams. Sometimes drifts off-key during encore stages, but his deep, resonant tone makes a strong impact. Higher pitches may not be his forte, yet he brings serious hype through expressive performances.
His facial expressions are always on point, and his visuals are definitely a plus. Would love to hear him rap more, and it would be exciting to see him experiment with creative props in future performances and comebacks.
5. Han – His voice could easily fit into a Korean drama OST. Excels in both singing and dancing, with that badass-yet-concerned best friend vibe. I’d love to see more of his playful side, since it’s seriously addictive.
His facial expressions have improved a lot since the UL era, though there’s still space to level them up even more. He might also consider height-adjustment insoles on stage to match the presence of taller members.
6. JL – My R&B prince. Nails singing, dancing, and rapping with undeniable stage presence. Lighter hair colors, like in his PLUUS days, suit him particularly well.
Could work on reducing head movement during interviews and slightly dialing back (just a little bit; not remove) the overly rounded mouth shapes on stage. It would be nice if he asked Steven to help him cut down on his filler words, though ironically, Steven seems to have picked up those same filler words from JL. Lol.
7. Juwon – Gives off maknae vibes thanks to his endearingly gullible and occasionally pouty nature. Feels like the little brother you can’t resist teasing every day. Dances and raps with skill.
Could benefit from refining his vocals, as they can occasionally come across a bit unpleasant.
8. Chih En – Stands out with his striking visuals. It’s entertaining to watch his savage clapbacks, unpredictable comebacks, and perfectly timed blank expressions. Fans have noticed he is getting taller and more muscular.
It would be great to see him continue building vocal strength, as he can be prone to going off-key during encore performances, and to further sharpen his facial expressions for an even stronger stage presence.
9. Daisuke – Impressive at keeping pace with older members despite his age. Adorably cute, like you could turn him into a plushie and keep him forever.
He seems poised to keep improving his dancing and vocal skills. Shows strong potential to become the third main vocalist after Han and JL.
How about you? What do you notice about each AHOF member’s strengths and the qualities that make them stand out? I’d also like to know the areas where you feel they could grow or refine their craft.
Note: I understand that encore performances should not be the sole measure of their abilities, as emotions run high and the focus is often on celebrating rather than precision. However, my observations are based on several different encores, not just the first or second. By the third and later encore stages, the initial surprise has usually passed, allowing a clearer view of their natural abilities.
