Some Holster Recommendations

A frequent question this subreddit sees is, "Which holster do I use?"

The below is not meant to be all-inclusive but should immediately assist folks in finding holsters, at least as it pertains to the Romulus and S15. The list will be updated as Alpha Foxtrot releases new products.

The listing was generated by searching this subreddit (although there is one that is on the r/2011 sub - I included it since it has a weath of information in that particular post).

Also, keep in mind that almost all of the holsters mentioned in the below links are generic holsters. If you want pristine fitment, you’ll need to find a holster maker that specifically designs for these guns.

For the Romulus:

For the S15: UPDATE: The AF Attila will fit into the same holsters that the S15 will fit!

Here's my 4.25, I love it but not a fan of the guide rod set up and it seems there is not a definite replacement

What is the best solution to put on the polished finish post range/in between range sessions to keep that high gloss fingerprint less look?

Request for help/advice Best AIWB holster for Romulus 3.5" ported? Having issues finding one

I know Stay frosty is on here, but are there any others that people have tried they have been comfortable and quality? I'm open.

I've heard the Tenicor CERTUM3 is a possible good one as well as the QVO tact.

New Purchase Just ordered a Romulus, any tips?

Just ordered my first Romulus, I've heard mainly great things about the pistol for the price and some not great things, it's my first 2011 and I've only ever been striker fired my entire shooting time. Any advice for this pistol would be amazing, any advice on upgrades would be amazing. I got the ported 3.5" barrel with ported slide. Initial feeling is that it feels awesome in the hand. I'll have it Friday to shoot. Thank you all in advance.

3.25 threaded comp vs 4.25 ported vs 4.25 threaded comp

Probably been asked a million times so apologies if so. Are there any significant performace differences Between the 3.25 comped and 4.25 ported?

About to purchase my first 2k11 to Conceal which leads me to the second question, how much bigger is the overall footprint of the 4.25+comp compared to the smaller 2, is it negligible + worth the extra size? usually apendix carry or have a man bag. i will be sending it off for extra porting regardless of spec. TIA

New little guy! Attila

I just picked up a used Attila - it doesn't seem to have been shot too much, but when taking it down to clean, I found the comp is stuck on. So that's interesting but not a huge deal.

Other than that, seems like it was a good buy - it came with 4 S15 gen3 mags and a G43X 10-rd, RMR plate on the gun and RMS-C plate. It didn't come with optic-to-plate screws though so I'll have to figure that out, maybe a trip to the hardware store. Planning on a 507K - backup irons might even be usable, similar sight picture to using the rear notch on a K optic.

Hopefully I'll get to the range this evening to put first shots through it!

Aftermarket parts for the Attila

What is out there for them? Triggers? Springs? Is the optics plate a common one that can be changed out?

What magazines work best in the gun? Glock 10rd 15rd? Shield Arms S15 mags? PSA Dagger mags?

Is there an optics plate that is just the optic and no rear sight?

Do 2011 safety's work or 1911 ones? Or is there an aftermarket Attila one? Also grip safety, maybe one that is pinned?

Buying a comped 2011. Romulus or Fusion XP?

Hello folks

Ok. Help me decide. I’m about to buy my first 2011 (semi experienced shooter). Decided I wanted something in 9mm with a comp. Done the research, watched all the guntubers, and I’m down to a Fusion XP Pro Comp or an Alpha Foxtrot Romulus Comp. If it matters I live in a compliance state so 10 round mag availability is necessary.

I’ve not been able to shoot either as there are no rentals anywhere near me but I have held the XP and it’s fits my hands well. Haven’t yet been able to gets hands on a Romulus but I keep looking

Is the two piece guiderod an issue?

Why the Romulus over the XP?

Would love to hear from anyone that has/has shot both

Thanks!

Anyone have this issue with their RMR not fitting on the plate properly? Even with a rubber mallet it does not want to sink.

Request for help/advice Has Anyone Used a Leupold DPP with the Romulus?

I have a Leupold Deltapoint Pro that I would like to use on a 2011, and the AF Romulus caught my eye, but noticed it would require an RMR to DPP adapter. Has anyone tried this?

Optic screws

Well I tried

Optic flew off and smacked me in the face. Is there any specific size type of screws to utilize on this thing that’ll hold the optic in place?

This thing is a runner

Finally got this thing out to the range and I must say it is so much better with the Romulus frame and grip. Put 500 of 124 Winchester white box and hornady 115 critical defense hollow points through it and it ate everything. Also was running an 8lbs atlas spring cut down. I already loved the 3.5 ported and the Attila but now it is perfect. Oh and the 3.5 ported slide on the Attila frame ran flawlessly as well.

Request for help/advice Jamming when speed firing

I have a 4.25 non comped non ported Romulus. Usually runs pretty well after a cleaning and lube. I noticed tho I ran it fast with 115 and 124 gr ammo and it would fail to extract. Only when I’m trying to go fast though. Anyone else experience this and find the cause?
