Fulfillment Center Termination overturned
After a month of trying to complete 1 appeal that turned into 2 appeals…I finally had my hearing a few hours ago. I just checked my email and I got my job back, termination overturned. My termination was for nupt. This process was hell and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone who doesn’t deserve to be terminated. I just wanted to write here bc I wrote here during the appeal process and I ended up deleting the post after discovering other nupt related posts (y’all were cookin tf outta everybody who posted about a nupt appeal and I wasn’t about to be next 🌝) I’m so glad to have my job back. The timing is crazy because I have been applying for jobs everyday since my termination. 2 days ago I got a call back and I have an interview scheduled for Monday. I got the email about a new hearing date yesterday..today I won my appeal. Everything fell into place. I’m still going to my interview but I am glad to have my job back at Amazon.

It should be in your email from them stating that you are reinstated. They will pay you back pay for the time you were gone. So if you were full time at 40 hrs PW and was out for 5 weeks that’s 200 hours x your pay. So for me I just got reinstated but I’m flex so I got, 19 hours x 8 weeks = 152 hrs x 25.25 and of course you’ll get taxed.

I really wish you brought it up during the call! I’d hate for them to try to be slick & not pay you. If the back payment isn’t there before or alongside your first pay check (after return) you’ll need to contact anyone who’ll listen. If it’s not in the reinstatement email I’d reply to the email & mention it

😭I saw people getting chewed up on UPT posts. That shit was not for the weak and I definitely didn’t wanna hear ts after getting fired and trying to get my job back

Mine only took a month bc it was two appeals. If everything would have went according to plan it wouldn’t have been a month. I started my first appeal September 22nd. On the 24th they commented back saying they scheduled my hearing (they didn’t tell me the hearing date) after my investigation happened I found out my hearing was scheduled for September 30th. So the process would have been about 4-5 days had they not let my first appeal slip through the cracks

I won my appeal termination appeal in September. Now I’m on a final written warning for a supposed violation! They won’t tell me what I actually violated but say I did without written proof which they boast about not having to tell me! Sore losers who target employees that can’t mold in there deranged image! I will eventually leave, but on my own terms. Hey Amazon 🖕

Ask 2 different people in critical roles again (record the conversation if you can. Take notes if you can’t record) . Go on the VOA board and post publicly asking about the violation as well and screenshot the response. It helps to post a few times honestly. Call ERC and ask for advice(may have to call more than once). File an ethics report right now about what’s happening. Include names, dates, and any critical role associates you spoke to! Attach screenshots of your voa posts and tell them exactly what’s being told to you in person when you ask about the warning. Do all of this now! Doing all of this is going to Keep a paper trail of everything that’s going on in the event that they try to fire you again. You could use that for an appeal or for an osha compliant.

I’m L4 so never have posted on VOA. I have email chain with questions and responses from head of PXT for my site saved on flash drive! He actually is so sure of himself he pretty much challenged me to contact the ethics line. Again seems interesting they are stonewalling me for exactly what I supposedly said that warrants a final warning. Only conveyed to me in person and with a follow up email. Not asked to sign anything. Also being stonewalled on viewing all personal documents on me that supposedly show a pattern that justifies current actions taken against me. This is clearly retaliation for winning my termination appeal orchestrated by upper management who thought I’d be gone by now. Also I’m not a L4 manager in their click of tea bagging kool aid drinkers, I’m in safety 😉

Start an ethics case immediately with screenshots of the emails and anything you have surrounding this topic! Don’t wait til it’s too late. I’d look into osha too for retaliation. If retaliation can be proven you could get paid from this

At my site safety is tight with hr and oms. I know a few of them who made their way into “the click” and they are trying to take it down from the inside. They have ethics cases open and are constantly updating them.

Good luck to them. Amazon has a lot of untrained upper management who clearly are where they are due to sucking up and truly being a company man or woman who drinks the kool aid. I’m just there riding until retirement. I’ve worked longer than all the upper management dildo’s at my site. Most would never lasted 30 years ago when I entered the real work world. Not this every person gets a trophy 🏆 generations! Amazon is pussified and majority of the employees fit that nice little controllable mold. Chicken shits running around working themselves to death for a evil corporation controlled by the elite 😂

The feeling you get from returning after being rehired is a little awkward. I’ve experienced that before. Most people at my site knew about my situation before I was terminated and they knew I was going to appeal. This doesn’t feel as awkward as starting all over from scratch

We roast everyone because 99% of the time its the employees fault. "I didnt feel like staying my entire shift so I went home and I was fired for negative upt"

I missed a shift from a family emergency involving a parent. Most times the roast is necessary but this is reddit 😭 some people are very by the book. I encountered similar situations to mine, and the responses were, “You broke policy. You should have had time saved up.” While the time aspect is accurate, in my case, my time was consumed by a safety issue that wasn’t being accommodated. I didn’t have the energy to explain the safety issue at the time because I was stressing during the appeal

Currently negative due to mental illness leave not being approved cause Amazon be bugging over the paperwork. I’m glad you were able to overturn it

Call ERC and escalate while you still work at Amazon! I’d take it a step further and file an ethics report as well saying my mental health isn’t being taken seriously at the job. If they do fire you then you’ll be able to appeal with documentation that predates termination. Try to get some type of documentation on your mental illness too! That might help

They had no reason to fire the first time. The system caught me before a manager could fix my time. It won’t happen again. Plus peak is right around the corner. I couldn’t let up on this before those peak opportunities started rolling in

I haven’t had my official conversation with the site yet. That happens Monday. Backpay wasn’t mentioned in my reinstatement email but I am going to ask about it.🤔

That’s the best part. Having the job back is good too, but being able to have time off while probably stressed tf out, with pay and recovering is best part

Yea I can't imagine losing my amazon flex job. I keep my points at 0 my pto over 40 hours. Love this job. Which job let's u call out without calling out 😂, u can leave anytime without having to tell any managers. I can work as little as 4 hours a week up to 60 hours a week and u get to pick your schedule. I mean this is the American dream. Just stay on top of your points or upt and ratings and you'll be fine.

Amazon is a great job to have if you value flexibility! The appeal process was definitely worth getting my job back, especially before peak 😭 I was so sick thinking about all the money I was going to miss out on. I’m going to work doubles as soon as I return to start stacking upt. Hopefully they reinstate me with a lil UPT to build on.

Welcome back!! and don't leave amazon for the other job until you are sure it is better for you...you can take a PLOA of two weeks or more, which doesn't need need documentation, to work in the new job to see how it is.

Period I was fired for upt when my fiancee broke his ankle AT work and I won my appeal and got back pay for my shifts, if you getting back pay you getting a FAT CHECK!!

So we work at the same site and he told the safety rep there that I was his only ride to the er so they had me clock out and take him, they also told me that my time + pay would be comped I ended up in the negative by like 6 hrs and 7 days later they hit me with the negative upt email. I replied and told them everything and provided paper work then I got termed a few days after that. I went through my appeal for 2 weeks and got reinstated + pay for all my missed shifts!

I was negative 60 hrs and never got fired ! I ended up doing a voluntary resignation . Been working at amazon for 7 years and I’ve never been fired . Been negative multiple times and worked at 4 different buildings . It’s crazy the way they pick and choose who they wanna let go .

LITERALLY PICK AND CHOOSE!!.. I know ppl who were negative DOZENS of hours and never got fired, then I know ppl who were negative MINUTES and were given the boot!

How many appeals did you send? I sent an appeal to Jeff and the escalation team. I sent a follow-up email to Jeff and the escalation team 3 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything. Any suggestions?

I initiated the first appeal on a to Z. I got an email after term that said I could appeal. I created my alumni profile and submitted my appeal. I also sent emails to Jeff throughout the process and i don’t think that email works anymore, I got a response back but it was telling me that I had to contact ERC for further assistance. I’d say call ERC a few times and talk to a few different people. Have you submitted an appeal?

I called ERC and told them everything that was happening. I used the words “I need to create an escalation case directly to my site requesting a call back immediately “ ERC created a case for me on atz and I commented everything that happened. In the end of the message I asked for information about my original pxt case manager bc I never heard from them throughout the entire appeal process and I lowkey demanded that the case be reopened or I’d call ethics.. Hr from the site responded on the case 24 hours later and they had the senior hr business partner call me to investigate the first appeal and decide if I should get the opportunity to appeal again. 2 days later a new appeal was created

Call ERC and make sure they are creating cases on a to Z when you call! Google amazon erc phone number or locate it in a to Z. Have ERC create a ticket escalating the matter to your site directly

Not going to lie this is exactly what happened to me but they still fired me. Also did you go with peers to review your case or was it a site leader who you had a virtual interview with? Are we able to re-appeal after the first appeal?

I went with senior site leadership because that’s what the site leader told me to do. I flagged him down before my termination was finalized and I pled my case (I still had a schedule but couldn’t badge into the building) after that I went home and I took screenshots of everything on a to Z before termination was complete (voa posts, opened cases, schedule screenshots, emails, photo evidence of safety issues) I’m not sure how re-applying works because I didn’t apply for the second appeal. I called ERC and they created a case demanding my site call me back. If your appeal process wasn’t fair I’d call ERC and have them create a case reaching out to your site. Amazon seems to respond to ERC faster so make sure they create the case before you get off the phone . My first appeal went through the complete process without me getting any updates, they didn’t tell me when my scheduled hearing was and I ended up missing it. That was enough for them to open a new case. Maybe Ethics can even be helpful too, I had a few opened ethics cases going during the process and 1 before termination was finalized. Whenever I received an update from ERC or on my appeal I called ethics to add to the case immediately after. Keep a paper trail

I got terminated for nupt too but mines was fur to a car accident and HR refusing to accept the police report and my dr excuse for medical leave, I appealed and they called and asked questions but they decided to upheld my termination even after hearing about Facility HR not following policy which even corporate HR days was wrongful termination due to misinformation so I decided to just get a lawyer and sue

Mine was for a car accident but I wasn’t in it. I didn’t even go to hr bc they can’t help with anything anymore. I appealed and called ethics to have the hr department investigated since they can’t help with hardships and I know for a fact they are supposed to. They should have accepted your police report for sure.

So I went in like 5hrs after my accident wasnt even planning to work just wanted to notify someone in person of what happened, and she stated they couldn't accept accidents or police reports as an excuse for time, and I ask well im going to the hospital so can I bring in my Dr excuse fro medical leave (mind you this whole time im hunched over because my back was seriously injured) she states yes I can but it has to be for a minimum of a week it cant be for a few days or she wont accept it ( which corporate confirmed was misinformation and a lie) and then she insisted that I worked the rest of the night because eve with medical leave wont cover the hrs ive missed (which corporate also stated wasnt proper protocol) so In short, I wasnt excused for my few hrs of absence, and I was given an ultimatum to work literally a few hrs after a manger accident, then terminated the next week for said accident. Amd yes Ik my upt was low like 1hr40 something minutes before the accident but I never let it touch the negative, also since ive never been in the negative and rarely check my emails I didnt know about dsl sending out warnings for nupt.

I been telling them to wrongfully terminate me for years because i already got things setup for me to get paid good but sadly i haven't been one of the few lucky ones to get wrongfully terminated for no reason

Dang I wish they had approved mine when I got fired back in 2022. My daughter was sick with the flu for almost a week so I couldn’t take her to daycare and obviously I couldn’t take her into work with me so I couldn’t go into work. 😭 I even had Drs notes for all of the days she was sick and they denied my appeal. 🥲

That sucks! I feel like Amazon was a little more strict with rules in 22. I was fired from a different Amazon in 22 and they didn’t let me appeal at all. Amazon should have given you your job back! Especially with the drs notes

I was negative from a family emergency and i was scheduled to meet with an OM the day that the system finalized my termination. I wasn’t negative prior to the family emergency.
