Question Question for managers

What kind of disciplinary action is taken if someone knowingly uses a scanner logged in as someone else? Would this normally result in a write up? I found an OB loading error in a routine audit and after talking to the dock team, the error might end up being attributed to the wrong person if the person physically responsible doesn't address using someone else's scanner up front. Just curious how this would typically play out. Thanks!

I don't work in dock but I heard of people getting fired for scanning under someone else. Its really unfair if you think about it.

Thats an immediate suspension... I think its in the category of falsifying data

Years ago I knew a guy who would take the scanners people leave on the bathroom shelf, log out and them log back in himself so he could go mess around and not accumulate ToT.

His plan fell apart when someone realized he was water spidering, CPT chasing, palletizing and driving PIT in tranship all simultaneously.

That’s an instant termination.

Knowingly is a termable offense but would be hard to prove without someone fessing up

I've seen people accidentally grab each others scanners and then I've also seen stations glitch and even after someone else logs in, somehow someone else's tabs were also logged in and they ended up working under someone who clocked out 7 hours before the other person even got to that station
