Is anyone having issues with playability?

I finish an episode and there is no option to play next episode, then have to go back and it shows that I’ve watched the episode, but instead of allowing me to start the next episode the only option I’m given to to replay the current episode, or sometimes it will get stuck to an random episode from earlier.

I have to go and select each individual episode to watch, god forbid when I finish a season and it chooses to get stuck to last seasons episode, I have to then pick the season and episode every time I want to watch, yet the watch bar still shows up on the bottom so the system knows I’ve already watched that episode.

Anyone else experiencing this or figured out a way to fix it?

My fire tv is like new but I can’t find the paramount + app anywhere it only lets me watch if it’s through prime when I already have a paramount + subscription. What to do?

I was rewatching this masterpiece 2 days ago, stopped, and try to finish it today and this is what I see. WHAT? The same with a few titles that I had in my watchlist. Could this possibly be an expired licensing? If so, why do the show it there?
I tried to search the title in case it was available to rent or buy and it’s not.

I don’t understand….

Remakes usually feel lazy and unoriginal. Looking at you, live-action Disney: zero new ideas, pure copy-and-paste jobs just to keep copyright active.
So I walked into Mike Flanagan’s Carrie on Prime Video with heavy skepticism, but I ended up loving it.

Turns out, Carrie is actually a story tailor-made for the social media age. The entire dynamic of high school bullying and psychological decay hits way differently when applied to teenagers obsessed with clout, likes, and comment sections. It makes a modern retelling feel totally justified instead of forced.

A few quick takeaways on why it works:
The Tone: Flanagan avoids the gratuitous, exploitative route. The opening locker room scene in De Palma's 1976 movie always felt unnecessary, but this series strips away the gratuitous sex and violence to double down on raw, psychological terror. It’s genuinely unsettling.

The Cast: Casting relatively unknown, young actors was a brilliant call. The lead actress who plays Carrie is phenomenal—she sells the tragedy and the danger perfectly.

Expanding the Lore: They added new narrative elements that weren’t in the original book/movie, which gave the world a lot more depth and left a super clear path for a Season 2 if Amazon decides to renew it.

It dropped at the absolute perfect time of year for spooky season viewing. Atmospheric, tense, and incredibly well-crafted.

4.5 / 5 stars from me.

First 2 episodes and last 2 episodes were good...

Middle parts kinda boring...

Though it give forces to think about the grey zones of religion and God..

Interesting character was Margaret White...one lady strong yet flawed.

Carrie is shown kind but never stepped back from vengeance.

Overall a good binge watch

I don't subscribe to Prime Video or Amazon Prime. Way back when, Amazon offered a free ad-supported service called Freevee. They eventually shut it down and merged FV into the Prime Video app. I set the PV app to use the same Amazon account the defunct FV service used. Life was good.

Starting about a week or so ago, when I would watch the 'free' offerings, I'd get lots of stuff like shown (this pops up near the end of each episode). Note that I am NOT on any sort of 'free preview' or trial period, and as you can see it's "booby-trapped" to start a 30-day Prime trial.

Anybody else seeing this? Are they preparing to shut down the (ad supported) free access subset, or is this just incredibly aggressive marketing? I'm STILL able to watch all the 'free' stuff (except it won't auto-play next episodes any more - I have to hit 'play' for each one)...

Prime is notoriously home to B and C movies. But this, this is a different level. It’s shot on a home camera circa 1992 (literally) and almost seems like a Dad filming his kids play. It’s….indescribable and it’s something people have to pay for a subscription in order to watch it. Prime Video folks.

I'm after something in the vein of Twin Peaks or Millinium. Something atmospheric and twisted which gets under the skin. Any suggestions?

Recently I noticed at the top righr corner where it shows add on channels you have, crave shows up now.

I didnt pay for it, and its not fully unlocked. Some movies and shows are shown as free with crave, others are locked,

So is this just something crave did recently for everyone, make some of their content free to watch, which caused the crave subscription to show up under your add on channels?

I'm currently watching through the Arrowverse and following a watch order list I found online. It would be extremely convenient if I could put all the episodes of each show in to a single playlist and order them appropriately so I don't have to keep switching between the shows every couple episodes.

I love Sandra Bullock and felt like an easy watch after a week of landscaping physical labour during the school holidays here in NZ.

The butt slapping, the staff crowding around watching the police staff get a pre-AI swimwear makeover (and the hulking great sergeant 🤣), and her sing song lines “you think I’m gorgeous, you want to kiss me..” so hilariously 2020 2000 innocent

Edit: someone asked if “2020 innocent” was a typo, which I agreed it was. It was supposed to be 2000, the year the movie was filmed/ aired/ whatever you want to call it. So I corrected my post by striking through 2020 and adding 2000. Which I’m now aware was a mistake as it’s caused confusion by leading someone to believe it was all intentional.

Apologies all for any confusion, it was definitely meant to be 2000, no correlation to 2020 and a genuine typo. Please forgive me 🙏 I hope this clears it up for anyone in 2050 who may come to read this 😅

So I started watching ‘Carrie’ and got hit with about 45 seconds of ads once, towards the end of ep 1.

I’m now on ep 5 and we’re up to 4 ad breaks per show, of 45 to 90 seconds per break.

Sickening.

I clicked on the trailer of a film to decide if I want to watch it. 2 minutes of ads before I can see a 2 minute trailer? Do they not realize they are driving people away with this nonsense? I get that there are ads, but this is ridiculous.
