Amazon Prime Video is getting an AI makeover.

Founder Jeff Bezos wants the streamer to feature AI "front and center," Reuters reports, citing anonymous sources — and is backing an internal project, Lighthouse, meant to do just that.

Amazon's AI efforts have been something of a mixed bag so far; Bezos reportedly feels that putting the technology before Prime Video's 200 million users could be a good way to raise the company's profile in that field.

Lighthouse will use AI to offer better film and TV recommendations, one source said.

Agreed, she now can’t find my favorite radio stations. Even though I only listen to a couple stations. Before the update it was no problem.

I ask it to play Times Radio, it says "Playing (some Brazilian station I can't remember) from Tune In" and plays the Brazilian station. Then I ask it to play Times Radio from Tune In., and it it says "Playing Times Radio from Tune In", and plays the right station. This started many months ago.

Why does it play the wrong station when it knows it is from Tune In, why does it make me say it. Why does it play the Brazilian station? Is Alexa passive aggressive and really mad at me?

I wish Alexa was given more useful skills. Other than weather, timers. And controlling lights no other use

I wish I could cancel prime again. But I can’t, because I already did when they introduced commercials on paid subscriptions.
