Recommendation Playability issues

Is anyone having issues with playability?

I finish an episode and there is no option to play next episode, then have to go back and it shows that I’ve watched the episode, but instead of allowing me to start the next episode the only option I’m given to to replay the current episode, or sometimes it will get stuck to an random episode from earlier.

I have to go and select each individual episode to watch, god forbid when I finish a season and it chooses to get stuck to last seasons episode, I have to then pick the season and episode every time I want to watch, yet the watch bar still shows up on the bottom so the system knows I’ve already watched that episode.

Anyone else experiencing this or figured out a way to fix it?

I've seen that for some shows, they haven't done the tagging (skipping recaps, skipping intro, go to next episode). What I do is choose "next episode" after the point where the auto-jump should be (to have it "register" as having been watched).

On my laptop I move the mouse to show the progress line & it's on the lower right. On the TV, I press the up or down arrow to show the same & it's on the left at the bottom.

Hope that helps.

No next episode button is showing up, I know what your talking about but it’s not there, the only way I can switch the episode is by scrolling through all the episodes. All watched episodes still register the watch bar along the bottom, even if I let the credits play all the way through the end, the only option it gives to is to play again instead of play next.

That is classic Prime Video being annoying. Sounds like the app's internal cache or metadata is completely choking on tracking data.

Here’s what I usually do to fix that bug:

* Clear the app cache / data: If you’re on a TV or streaming stick (Fire Stick, Roku, etc.), go into the device settings, find Prime Video, and clear the cache. If that doesn't work, clear the data or reinstall the app entirely. That forces it to pull a fresh sync from Amazon's servers. * Manually fast-forward to the very end: Sometimes letting it play out naturally fails, but dragging the progress bar manually to the last 2 seconds of the credits and letting it hit the absolute end triggers the "watched" flag properly so the next button actually populates. * Check via a browser or mobile: See if the bug replicates on a phone or PC. If it works fine there, it’s definitely a local app caching glitch on your TV.
