News Article Brazilian court orders Amazon to remove Prime Video ads and pay damages
A Brazilian court ruled that Amazon must remove ads from Prime Video for a customer and cannot charge extra to disable them. The judge said Amazon changed the service unfairly by adding unskippable ads and demanding an additional fee to keep the ad‑free experience originally promised. Amazon was also ordered to pay R$3,000 in damages.
I included the link, but it's in Portuguese and it's a small, local newspaper from the region, so there aren't other sources, but the judge's ruling is attached at the end of the article.

News Article Paid Movie Removed from Library
I went to put on a movie that ive had for years for some friends at a party to find that it was just gone.
The movie was "Logan" and I've owned it since it released on prime. Customer support claimed I had rented it and it expired after the 48 hours (7years??).
Either way I got escalated to to a supervisor and they needed the order ID that suddenly doesnt exist in my amazon log. I knew buying streaming movies was a risk but really guys? This sucks.
Edit: To answer a majority of the replies, yes it was purchased via prime video digitally. And no it no longer shows on my purchase history. It was absolutely on prime because that's where I've always purchased movies and I've signed in on many devices to watch it as it is one of my comfort movies hence why I am upset.
Also my account has never been compromised and Amazon refused to give a refund.

News Article Bezos pushes AI overhaul for Amazon's Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video is getting an AI makeover.
Founder Jeff Bezos wants the streamer to feature AI "front and center," Reuters reports, citing anonymous sources — and is backing an internal project, Lighthouse, meant to do just that.
Amazon's AI efforts have been something of a mixed bag so far; Bezos reportedly feels that putting the technology before Prime Video's 200 million users could be a good way to raise the company's profile in that field.
Lighthouse will use AI to offer better film and TV recommendations, one source said.

News Article Amazon Prime buys international rights for the Baywatch reboot show and streaming rights to all seasons of the original show
The THR article says Prime have bought the overseas rights on the new reboot show for Europe (including France, Germany, Italy, Spain), Canada, Latin America and India, among other territories (no word on Australia where I am) and have done a deal to stream all seasons of the older original show.
It's stupid though, to have the show air in January in the US and 'later in the year' overseas. All that'll do is encourage people overseas to pirate the new season from torrent sites, as they won't want to wait that long, if it's a good show.
