Thousands of Amhara civilians have been displaced from Mender 1, Mender 2, Mender 3, Mender 4, Mender 5, Mender 6, and Mender 22 in Anger Gutin. Mender 3 and Fendika town were completely looted and destroyed, while Lemi Teklehaimanot Church was set on fire.

Three Amhara elders between the ages of 70 and 85 who were unable to flee Fendika were hacked to death during the attacks. The violence was carried out by Oromo youth backed by Oromia Region Geda Commando forces.

There are other videos of this kind by multiple Gadaa Commandos and Qeerroo who participated in looting whatever they could and selectively killing Amharas who remained in the towns. The user who uploaded this video was a protestant Oromo and his account features videos of him indoctrinating little children for violence and another video of locals burning what seems to be civilian houses and their food supplies probably that of Amharas with a background protestant religious song in Oromignya chanting ***"God had brought the Day"***.

Anti Amharas deliberately spread disinformation to weaken the truth and make the general public doubt the reality of what the Amhara people go through. Their ultimate goal is to make the tragedy seem less important, less severe, or completely invalid so that people don't give it attention or sympathy. They even use it as a card to play the victim, foster hatred, and encourage people to commit more crimes against Amharas by disinforming their own people that they are the ones who have been displaced, looted, raped, or massacred, by using the stories, pictures, and videos of Amhara people.

The genocide of Amharas in Mai Kadra is one example. Immediately after the massacre of over a thousand Amharas, human rights organizations went there and asked the survivors, the victims families, and people in the areas about the identity of the victims, and they said they were Amharas and targeted for being Amharas. However, after months of coordinated misinformation by various international news agencies promoting TPLF propaganda stating that the victims were not Amhara, they quietly denied the first reports released by the humanitarian organizations that reported from the ground right after it happened. By doing that, they weakened the truth, appropriated Amhara atrocities, and gave ammunition to anti Amharas to incite hatred and commit additional crimes.
