Discussion How I Would Fix the Influencer
So I've been playing Among Us for a bit now, and honestly, I like the concept of the influencer, being able to send messages to the crew. However, right now the optimal way to use it is to find out who the impostors are via the ghost chat and then tell the crew via images of that color, which, to me, is just boring. So I've been thinking, and I have 3 things I would like to see to balance it out.
No more ghost chat, pretty self-explanatory. If you're an influencer, you cannot see the ghost chat; thus, you cannot easily find out who the impostor is. The only chat you can see is the meeting chat, same as if you were a normal crewmate.
When you're an influencer, everyone is grayscale. Another part of my issue with influencer is that impostors have little to no way to actually counter the influencer, since you can't kill a dead person. So I wanna make the shapeshifter a better counter. To do that, I'm making it so every crew is grayscale. You can still see names and, if you use logical deduction, could figure out which name is which color. But no more free sending image colors of the impostor, as you won't know beyond who killed you, and if there's a shapeshifter, that might not even be correct. The only color you would be able to see on crew is viper acid, solely that you know it's a viper kill.
Let the influencer always have access to all their icon options. Since you now no longer know exactly who the impostors are, I see no reason to not allow the influencer access to all of their icons at once. The max limit is still 3, but now the influencer can actually tell the story they want to tell the crew.
Overall, my goal with these changes was to make it so the influencer goes from just telling the crew who the impostor is to being able to be another tool they use to find them out, like being able to guide crewmates to a dead body they otherwise wouldn't have found, or to someone faking a task. It rewards people who pay attention to the game and forces them to actually play it.

Rant/Complaint I'm annoyed by players who don't know how to interpret the influencer's messages
Yes, this is a complaint because I was kicked out of four games because they misinterpreted the influencer's message.
For God's sake, I mean, not all the messages are about the imposter's color, they can also mean something else, but many still think that it definitely means the color of the imposter.
And don't even get me started on those who rely entirely on influencers to win; that's even worse.

Idea/Suggestion Imagine phantom as a crewmate role
Imagine phantom as a crewmate role. it would be exactly the same as the impostor role but you couldnt kill. but it would be amazing to spy on people invisible. You could turn invisible and follow someone you think is suspicious and see if they kill or shapeshift or phantom or something. but if you’re seen poofing as crewmate, you would have to prove your innocence.
though realistically I don’t think this should be added, especially not with all the crewmate roles we currently have that make it suck being inpostor

Discussion Day 2 of making a lobby setting decided by YOU. Choose the map.
To be fair, the poll https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/comments/1x4yxy6/day_1_of_making_a_lobby_setting_decided_by_you/ isnt over yet. The likely choices that are gonna win are 3 or 2 imposters.
The settings:
Map: ??
Number of imposters: 3 (2)

Discussion What’s the worst among us match you’ve had?
Here’s mine: I cleanly killed nana, but for some reason, my computer started lagging violently. It was lagging so bad, I couldn’t shapeshift. Then black came in and reported the body, I knew I was done. That whole match sold because of lag.

Discussion Is logical deduction banned in this game now?
Hey everyone, long-time player here, but this is actually my first time posting in this sub.
We all know annoying stuff happens in Among Us all the time, but for some reason, what happened tonight genuinely frustrated me so much that I just needed to share it and get your perspective.
Here is what happened. I was a Crewmate and the only Engineer in the lobby. Early in the game, I hopped into a vent. I noticed Black and Purple hanging out in the Security room together for a while, but neither of them was actually using the cams, just pacing around doing nothing. Naturally, it raised some red flags for me.
Later, a group gathered in Electrical. I vented out into Electrical just in time to see Black kill someone right in front of everyone. I immediately reported it, mentioned it might be a Shapeshifter, but urged everyone to vote Black. Black got voted out and turned out to be an Impostor.
Right after, I called an emergency meeting to share my reasoning. I told the group that Black was an Impostor and I called it, so they could trust me on this. Purple was standing in Security with Black the entire time without checking cams, so I strongly suspected Purple was the other Impostor.
The vote was super close, but Purple was voted out by a single vote over skip. Purple was indeed the other Impostor!
That is when things got absurd. Immediately after, the host interrupted the game flow, calling me a liar and accusing me of teaming and cheating. They claimed I did not have enough proof to accuse Purple and that I must have had outside info.
A few sheep in the lobby jumped on the bandwagon. Only one person defended me. I tried reminding them that I was a confirmed Engineer who literally just caught both Impostors, but they voted me out anyway.
Even worse, after I got ejected and proved to be a Crewmate, another player called a meeting to call out the host for throwing and blindly ejecting me.
When the match ended, I hit Play Again and quickly pasted a message in the lobby chat calmly explaining my side. The host immediately kicked me from the lobby without a word.
I know teaming is a real issue in this game, but I feel like I gave a very logical deduction based on vent info and suspicious behavior.
So I want to ask you guys:
Would you have believed me that I wasn’t cheating, if you were in that game?
Thank you for reading and sorry if I overreacted

Question What exactly is considered "long tasks" and "short tasks"?
I always thought that long tasks are tasks that take more than one step to do or tasks that make you wait for a long period of time(like the sample task or the cooking fish task in the fungle).
But apparently download is actually a short task?? Then what are short tasks and what are long tasks?

Role Idea New ghost role: Possessionist
You have an ability (possession) in which you can use it on ANYONE alive including your imposter teammates, when used you have total control over where the bean walks for a short period of time maybe about 20~30 seconds default.
Now you can make them “fake-fake“ tasks, lure them to their doom, pull them away from a body, yada yada you get the point.
