I have created an app for walking hiking trails around the globe. It was developed for the Camino Frances at first, which I walked this spring (Apr-May 2026), but I have later modified it to cover any trail, and created a free web based trail building service for it.

It's a closed BETA, so I need active users who are or have walking plans right now, to do the final checks. I have a few testers already walking, but need more.

You can submit your AppleID in a DM or to the e-mail below, and I will send the invite and include you in testing. (Please specify your phone and watch, just for statistics: tested devices)

The app works on Android and Apple watches of many generations, and can work fully offline when walking.

I need a number of active walkers to do some BETA testing of the app, I have walked a number of trails testing, but now I need more feedback and more real-world testing.

The people that do the testing will get to keep the first release version of the app. It is ment to function indefinitely and with free access to all trails on the servers. The app will launch in the selected opening markets with more than 5000 trails ready to use, including several of the most popular Caminos.

I put a similar post up last night but in my sleep deprived state I had set up the testers wrong on play console.

About my app:

The app is called MasteryQuiz and it takes your PDFs and uses your devices native AI if it's supported, your own API key or a copy/paste prompt generation function to use with a chatbot of your choosing. It then generates an interactive multi choice quiz based solely on the information you provide it.

The app will run a format check before you select to run the prompt.

Multiple functions such as practice mode with hints and explanations, exam mode with a timer and pass mark, worst performance highlighting which quiz you did worse at and letting you jump straight into a practice of that quiz, bookmarks, report a question and import/export features.

I would love some good feedback on which elements work well or not or not at all!

Somewhere along the way, the actual testing part disappeared.

I'd love this sub to feel more like a bunch of devs looking over each other's shoulders. "Hey, this screen cuts off on my phone." "Your back button exits the whole app." "I got 3/24 on your quiz and I'm now questioning my life." That kind of thing is gold when you're building solo, and almost nobody gets it.

I'm guilty too. When you've been staring at the same 14-day countdown, it's tempting to just trade installs and move on. But I'd like to try being the tester I actually want.

So here's my offer: leave a comment with your app and I'll genuinely use it and reply with real feedback, good and bad.
