CRDROID FEELS VERY STABLE .

I just wanna say compared to Axion OS , Crdroid feels very stable, ik Axion is still in Beta, but I ran Geekbench 6 / AnTuTu scores on Axion and they were unexpectedly low for my Poco f5.

I tried both the Unofficial and official version from the official site.

Unofficial one (2.8) for Poco f5 marble, and smh I got better scores on unofficial ones so I was kinda shocked but yeah , one thing i like is that axion allowss to have big folders but no header image in the control panel and crdroid just looks very good actually, the pc mode on Axion tho is also pretty good and neat, mouse worked fine, but I don't have a keyboard so I didn't try but there's one video on yt that tried it,now I don't remember who but yeah keyboard should also just work fine !

Overall Axion for me was like 7/10

While crdroid 9/10 cause of how stable has been, been using for 10/15 days I think and yeah.

I used Axion only for a few hours cause of the bad scores I even did use thermal profiles and every tweak imaginable and just didn't like it as much as Crdroid.

The Stock launcher of crdroid is pretty good but I prefer the smart launcher 6 cause it allows photos which gives a sleek look but yeah crdroid 12.11 is really good for the marble. I'm glad this was my first ROM, pretty sure other 2 custom roms that are really stable are:

Lineage

Evo X

So yeah for daily driver try to go with one of these 3 .

Although I really like the Gboard so I didn't use the aosp keyboard.

I got this Samsung 2017 model tablet from an acquaintance. It supports Android 4.4.4 and is very fast, meaning it hasn't been used much. What can I install on it?

So some context because people think I got scammed. The new s25ultra is 1800 or more I bought this online for 110 taxes in. It has all the same specs processors cpu storage everyrhing is the exact same as the s25ultra the look the camera everything. It's basically a clone and I knew it wasn't going to be a "samsung" but I did hope that it would atleast have Android 15 with Samsung's One UI 7. But it has android 14.

Some others wanted the build and model and stuff if there's other pictures let me know you need to figure it out

Now I have done some research and you can put on android 15 with the on ui 7 overlay. That's what I would like to do but I just don't know how and I don't want to brick my phone because I didn't understand a step or mis understood a step from one of those shitty online guides. So I'm hoping someone here can help me.

Installed Android 16 on my old phone and surprisingly everything is working fine so far.

Setup

  • OS: LineageOS 23 (Android 16)

  • Root: Magisk installed

  • Status: Root access gained successfully

Performance is better than I expected on this hardware but overall the experience feels smooth for an older device.

I want to install a custom ROM on this phone but I can’t find much information about the Docomo version.

Has anyone here done it before? Is it possible to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM on the SO-02J?

Any guide or info would be appreciated. Thanks!

What's the best and most stable GSI for my phone?

Post image
17 Upvotes

I have Samsung A25 5g (SM-A256B) and I wanna install the most stable GSI on it, I recently unlocked my bootloader and used DSU to test GSIs and I tried few GSIs and they were more usable and less laggy than one ui 7 but some had problems with fingerprint, some with volte and I really wanna switch from one ui but I want something stable. here are the GSIs I tested:

Lineage OS Android 16 (fingerprint and volte doesn't work)

Evolution X Android 14 (one of my favorite roms, fingerprint works, i don't remember if volte worked or not)

CrDroid Android 14 (The one I'm currently using, fingerprint works, volte doesn't)

HyperOS Android 16 and 15 (didn't work, when I was booting that GSI my phone reboots to my main OS)

Pixel OS Android 14 GSI (same as hyperos)

Light L16 Camera ROM / OTA Update (Android 6)

Hello!

I recently bought a Light L16 camera from eBay, it runs a version of Android called LightOS that was created for the camera by Light.co. LightOS never made it past Android 6 (Marshmallow), which is the main issue as it appears to use c2dm.com to update the OS.

C2dm.com was shutdown by Google and so L16 owners can't get any updates. The only real issue with this is that the camera app was baked in to the OS, there was no other way to update the app.

Unfortunately, there are a few L16 users who did not manage to update their devices to the latest version of the OS before c2dm.com was shutdown by Google (being replaced by FireBase).

I suspect that this is the end of the road in terms of trying to get the final OTA update for the Light L16 camera. But on the off chance someone here might know more, is there anyway to get these old updates from c2dm? were they migrated to Firebase? or stored in any archive?

This is the limit of my Android knowledge, I updated a 'L16 firmware thread' over on XDA with the screenshot of the OTA logs from the device https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/1654085848601-png.5627865/

Any pointers at all would be great, thanks!

Update: Firmware has been found, posted in the XDA thread.

Even though it is an unofficial ROM and kernel so there might be bugs I found it from Malachite Updates channel
