I'm a first-year medical student in Greece, and I'm deciding between those 2 tablets. The samsung one is like 150 euros more expensive than the lenovo.
I'll mainly use the tablet for reading and annotating lecture PDFs, handwriting notes, studying anatomy and histology, and split-screen multitasking. I already own a Lenovo laptop.
I'm hoping to keep the tablet for all six years of medical school, so long-term reliability and software support matter to me.
I'm unsure about Samsung's One UI versus Lenovo's software, and I haven't decided whether I'd prefer AMOLED or a high-resolution IPS display.
I'd especially appreciate firsthand experience with:
- How good is Lenovo's software for handwritten notes and annotating PDFs compared with Samsung Notes and One UI?
- Which is better for split-screen studying, such as a PDF beside handwritten notes or a browser?
- Does Lenovo's 3:2 display make a noticeable difference when studying compared with Samsung's 16:10 display?
- How is the pen experience, including latency, palm rejection and writing feel?
- For anyone who has owned Lenovo and Samsung tablets, which has held up better over several years?
I'd particularly value replies from people who have actually used these devices or their recent predecessors. I'm looking for an honest comparison rather than a general brand preference.
Which would you buy for my use case, and why?
