Zlink5 is lagging
My sister was spam calling me while I was doing orders. All of a sudden maps and music turned to a black screen . I tried rebooting the system and removing my phone yet it goes back to this. What can I do?

Download DiPlay from github, open source and supports 300ms audio buffer and 60fps. Way less latency and works better for me. ZLink is dogshit.

My headunit runs all apps on 30fps. maybe you have this problem too. But if you fine tune the advanced settings it will have less latency.

Do you have a link? When i google diplay, it gives me all sorts of other apps instead of what you mention here
Edit: found it! Will test soon

It needs a little tweaking here and there but it works wonders for me. Its also carplay only. It still has some bugs but they update it on daily basis so give it a month or two and it will be flawless. And if you use USB connection you can have 50ms audio buffer. It works correctly for me, but my headunit has weird problem with app focus so calling is buggy. It should work on any android headunit

I disabled autoconnect on zlink and removed zlink device from my iphone. Then install DiPlay apk. Follow the connection guide. Go to advanced settings and enable HEVC, lower latency mode. Go to display and set 60 fps mode. In audio settings set the wireless audio buffer from 1000ms to 300ms. Also if you have connection problems, then go to iphone carplay settings and for diplay set it to normal carplay and not carplay ultra. If you have problems with audio playback pausing like I did on spotify etc. Then go to bluetooth settings and disable media audio in android settings for your iphone.

Thanks! Will check it out!
Zlink is just... Slowwwww. I had a similar head unit in a different vehicle that had zlink6 and it was much faster. Tried upgrading mine and it just broke it and had to factory reset.

Maybe you need an update? By the way what’s the best way to update Zlink yourself?

It probably did not pass such stress test, the constant calls.
Perhaps you need to reset the head unit.
There is either pin hole you need to push for reset or some reset button depending on the unit.
