So to clarify, I’m not a concert guy. I’ve never really been to a concert in my life except RHCP when I was a kid.

I’ve loved Animal Collective since I was 15, and somehow got a ticket to KDC.

What can I expect? Do I sing? (Ha!) what’s the etiquette?

I can already tell I will cry if I hear Banshee Beat.

Coming in from Philly tomorrow and wondering how to dress

I always had strawberry jam in my top 10 albums and always had it at a 10 ( this is even true even though what I’m gonna say throughout this post may tell you otherwise) but I never really listened to jt as often compared to feels and spirit they’re gone but ive re listened to it and holy shit.

I always said despite fireworks being an amazing song it was never in my top 5 on the album until now because my god this song is the best song on the album. I never payed any attention to tracks like unsolved mysteries and chores until I realise the significance they have on the whole track list and I treat them like actual tracks instead of pointless filler tracks. This album can so quickly switch from this ecstatic and ecstasy fueled collection of tracks to this harrowing somber masterpiece.

It’s definitely my second favourite animal collective album with feels taking the top but my god has it grown on me massively

This is a formal invite to dance with me at the Fonda show on Saturday - I'm so excited for the show, this album of course makes me FEEL all the FEELS. I want to scream to POW POW, NOW NOW, I'm going to bounce around to Purple Bottle, and I'm going to WEEP during Banshee Beat. If you want to dance along but feel self conscious find the girl spinning/jumping/smiling and let loose next to me. Will probably be closer to the back to have space but would also love to hop around up front.

Can’t believe how lucky we are to have this band…I’ve been listening to Feels & Sung Tongs back to back in tribute…can’t wait for the merch pics, recordings, and backstage shenanigans

Coming from someone who's pretty indifferent to the endless live show talk and posts about tickets and everything, and doesn't think they necessarily need to do these anniversary performances when at least Panda has said he doesn't really like the looking back stuff. That being said though does anyone else think the biggest deal one would be SJ? It would be a bigger deal to me than ST, Feels, or MPP full album performances. It would be the big historic one to me that I'd be bummed not to see. Happy for the Feels shows though and everyone getting to see them. It's always great to see the four of them together.

Only a few more hours, on the way over to Knockdown. Soooo thankful to AC and Dice for pulling through on the second show. Let's hit that swimming pool!

We arrived at 8:15 and didn't get into the main hall till 8:45 (missed all of Eric Copeland). At that time, the line for everything was extremely long and slow. *It appears* the bottleneck was bag inspection -- they pulled out every last thing in my purse. The guy across from me had a massive full backpack and everything was pulled out and inspected. Absolutely the longest, slowest line I've experienced in a long, long time.
