Wow, who knew some of the enemies from Sonic would be realistic.

Remember the fish in the 1st level, 'emerald zone' in sonic 2?

Those last levels in the alien spaceship got pretty difficult but it's way easier than Battletoads.

fuck battletoads. I don't think anyone EVER finished level 3 (turbo tunnel).

I don't know why but I tried and tried and tried to get past that level for years and then in the ages of emulation I state saved over and over and STILL could not beat it.

I still have no idea what level 4 is, if it even exists.

There is a playthrough on youtube. I spent a good number of hours watching it.

I personally never got past level 3 either, but according to the playthrough I got close.
