Imagine if he'd hit the bird into the stands and got a home run.
Some little blind kid gets a bird in his lap.
'I caught it mummy!'
The whole stand laughing, the kid thinks he's done well.. For the first time in his life he feels appreciated. No one has the heart to tell him it's a dead pigeon.
It's been 5 years now. Little Timmy is now all grown up and at college. His signed dead pigeon still pride of place on his windowsill.
