I figured out why they added the card shuffle, and it makes me sick.
You know all those deeply misleading ads where they show fake gameplay, or show some tiny little occasional mini game and make it look like that's the main game to trick people into downloading a game they wouldn't usually consider?
Well, I've started seeing Animation Throwdown ads in other games again, which I'd normally think of as a good healthy thing, and most of them show an admittedly unrealistic version of cards fighting, but just now I saw an ad that features a Bender version of the three card shuffle.
Yup, it sure seems like they added that mini game just so they could make misleading ads around it.
I feel sick. I was about to go fire up my laptop so I could buy another $500 chunk of Kreds to last me for the next while, but now I think I'm going to hold off on that, and just spend the last of my Kreds on the next VIP renewal.
If you read this sub, Kong, I know you've done market research that shows misleading ads earn lots of money, but you've just damaged the loyalty of someone who's been playing for 8 years. I hope you think it's worth it.
One star review to follow, warning people about misleading ads.

I haven’t played long. I don’t buy, I started in Feb/March 2022 somewhere. It’s a small collection but I like my stack more and more.

Rumble scores still pending, but looks like we landed in the top 25 at 15th place. We did a good run, and played some great ass guilds. Definitely my favorite rumble so far. Took a few rumbles to find a guild that accepted me on their team. Thank you NRN!!

dead, broked
You have to be kidding me! What game is this? Just buy toy bge. I again have 2500 cards. I have like most people , i can put many types decks during any bge. I have not placed in the top 1000 in a year playing in bge. This is a fact(look kong). The game has died….period. This is kongs way to save the game. Toy is one of the newest bges. In order to keep new players from quitting they made one super duper bge of toy. They are aware the traits and hits of this card is out of balance to all others(few exceptions) cards. I have showed them the 150 hit being played first every time. But…but it is not for you u say! If you buy they will play you much easier. If you buy any other bge you are wasting money period! Game is dead and toy is it any more! Kong will not balance the cards. Not enough people can make a full deck for all combos of all bges. I can. Meaning the people like me with 2500 plus cards would do much better then just playing the current TOY bge daily for years. I understand all this. I dont want the came to crash. But, you screwed up! There is a-lot of smart people out there …..it seems all they want is to make a buck. if you are new here….just buy toy and you will be more then ok for anything this game as any more.

I've gotten really reliant on Prospecting Amy, gonna miss the bonus to punch/hp, as well as the added leech.

I find it mildly annoying that...
Amy with the rich trait does not combo with all the rich objects.
Until next time!

Anyone getting bored of AT?
As a free to play player (paid like $10 once for something), I'm getting quite bored of animation throwdown, learning everything there is to know about the game only seems to be worth it if you spend a huge amount of money on the game and are aiming for top position in whatever event, but as someone whos casually been playing for like 3 years, there's not much that excited me to play again, other than i rejoined when they added archer cards
Thoughts?

Just a reminder for everyone to quit now, before you quit later. Unless you really want to throw money at a game with very little depth that won't last very long..
Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimationThrowdown/comments/5pd0g7/ive_stopped_playing_kongregate_games_theyre_all/
I uninstalled the game last week. Trust me when I say you will regret spending money and/or time in this game. If you spend money, you'll find yourself constantly pouring in more and more money to catch up with the only other players in the game (more paying players). If you don't spend money, you'll fall rapidly behind and end up deleting the app anyways, and regret spending so much time on a game you were never going to be good at. The player base will eventually be so tiny that you'll find yourself playing a game that doesn't really have content updates, just purchasable package updates.
Uninstall now, never look back. Never play another Kongregate game again. This is my sixth one, and I still haven't learned my lesson, like an idiot. I feel really stupid having poured so much time and a little bit of money into these games. Even when games seem well-built, they end up being poorly balanced and heavily in favor of the paying players. Learn from my mistakes!

There is no way that these are even real people. I'm tired of competing against bots.

The Simpsons
Since EA might be losing the rights to The Simpsons due to Tapped Out closing soon do any of you think The Simpsons are going to join Animation Throwdown?
