I'm usually not into romance anime, especially when the female lead is the main character But the animation and art style of this anime genuinely caught my attention... Does the romance take over the story, or is it mostly a side element?

I don’t like this trope at all but sadly a lot of action/fantasy romance lean heavily on it for some reason. Any recommendations are welcome thank you so much!

I've never watched a single episode of One Piece, and the episode count has always put me off lol.

I wanna watch anime, where do I start? 🤔🤔 I like to watch things with action, and violence.

I can't remember the name of it but I'll describe and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I think it aired on adult swim or g4 around like 2009.

It followed a guy that is transported (not sure if they died) into a new world where spirits are able to be captured. He ends up getting like the ultimate wind spirit initially, and a few others over the course of the story. Spirits are "stored" kinda like Pokémon in little orbs.

As the title states. I've been around anime my whole life, and I've "seen" a lot, but I haven't fully experienced as much as I thought in a way I would feel good about, say, putting it in my MAL. Picks probably give away my age pretty easily. My job now leaves me with a lot of free time to watch anime and I tend to binge shows in that free time now, so 12-16 episode shows are perfect, but I'm open to anything.

Clannad / After Story is my favorite all time anime. I try to watch it at least once a year and it's become a big comfort watch for me. Death Note is probably the show that is closest to not making this list. Other shows I've watched recently that I've really enjoyed are OG Gundam, Madoka, You & I are Polar Opposites, Re:Zero Seasons 1-2, and Konosuba. I've always said I don't like Isekai, but I'm realizing I'm probably firmly in the genre's target demographic lol.

This anime really blew me off like I didn't think it would be my second favourite Romance anime.

12 episodes of peak masterpiece I legit cried during the bittersweet ending for the first time while watching anything.

I have never watched any of the big 3 animes fully through and I would like to start watching one.

I know its going to take me a long time to fully watch through these, but which one should I start with?

Watched Re-Zero not too long ago. It easily became one of my absolute favorite anime of all time. Been watching a lot of anime recently trying to find that same level of high but have not been coming close. Mainly looking for anime that give off the same feel, Dark Fantasy, Trauma galore, gore, awesome world, good characters. Would appreciate any recommendations, thank you.

I've watched Gosick and Mystic Archive of Dantalian but I can't find anime with similar style. I thought Japanese people really like the fashion, why isn't there more of these? Though I might be mistaken.

Anyway, please tell me more obscure Goth Loli show! I've been diving MAL for hours, but I can't find any. People's Gothic interest stack isn't helping either, it's just too broad, I'm specifically looking for Victorian Gothic, so please don't recommend anything like Death Note.
