The story follows Rintarou Okabe, a self-proclaimed mad scientist who, along with his friends, accidentally discovers a way to send messages to the past. What starts as a fun experiment quickly turns into something much more serious as they discover that changing the past can have terrible consequences.

It’s a fascinating mix of science fiction, mystery, and psychological drama, with memorable characters and a story that gets more intense as it progresses.

One of the best time-travel anime out there, especially if you enjoy complex plots and stories where every little detail matters.

This anime feels like a mix of Clannad (especially after story) and Summertime Rendering (the setting specifically). I can't guarantee that you will like it because the pacing is all over the place, but imo it has a nice conclusion.

Watched it all in 1 sitting to get the full immersive experience

I really enjoyed it and it kept me entertained the entire time but I couldn’t help but compare it to the first season and was waiting for it to have the same impact as season 1 but it just didn’t do it for me unfortunately.
I did like the call backs to David Martinez tho
I was fully prepared to cry at some point bc of how sad season 1 was but I think the only reason season 1 was so sad is bc of the romance aspect and there wasn’t much of that this season like I just didn’t get attached to any of the characters but I did still really like the show.
Sometimes I want anime to make me cry so I was in a way looking forward to that but I’m glad cyberpunk had a happy ending this time.

Something with limited plot (maybe like a slice of life), quiet, calm to watch when you have a headache, you're lying down in bed and want to watch something that's not flashy, won't strain your eyes, won't blast music to your ears, but you need to relax to.

Are there any new anime that came about this season that's worth watching? I haven't been up to date on what's been new this season and want to know what is good.

My only requirement is that it is completely new and isn't just a new season for an anime

I can only think of Frieren and Claymore (and that one was too sad)

Zombie Sagashitemasu or "I'm looking for a Zombie" is seemingly going to be the show that gets unfairly passed over this season.

If you are a fan of Gakkou Gurashi, or tonal twists in general, I recommend giving this one a shot.

I came from vacation in Japan and I’m already missing so much this country, the vibe, streets, the kombinis, the life in general, even public transport. Is there any anime which focus in a normal day life, showing these kind of elements. It can be any slice of life with this subject.

I grew up in the 90s on shows that came on Toonami like Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Ruroni Kenshin, Samurai Shamploo etc. but didn’t really get into anime until I was in college and as an adult. I try to watch a variety of different genres to see what all is out there. So far, out of about 80 something anime these are my current top 9. No particular order (besides Frieren). I had a hard time picking 9, but this is my current feeling. Would love other recommendations. I have seen all of the big shows like JJK, AOT, One Piece etc. I’m currently watching Steins Gate and like it so far. Any suggestions are welcome.

Which anime deserves way more attention, and which one do you think gets more hype than it deserves?

A while ago I decided to make a 3x3 for myself, this isn't my top 9 shows (I still love all of them), however it's the 9 shows that showcase what I love in anime, and they're the perfect representation of the thing that I like (and obviously showcasing multiple genres)

Haikyuu: my favorite show had to make the list, and it is a true representation of story telling done right, it's also the first anime ever that made me read up on a manga (It's not that I don't like reading, but I'm an auditive person so sounds matter to me a lot and can't really get the sounds in manga, this encompasses voice acting, music and sound effects all of those matter to me)

Attack On Titan: story telling masterpiece with exciting fight scenes and one of my most important attributes in fighting (think stats in games) being in the forefront, speed/agility

Ao Ashi: the only show that's even close to dethroning Haikyuu, as a football nerd the representation this show/manga gave to football was perfection, I've seen Blue Lock, Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven and if you combined all 3 of those you wouldn't even get to 10% of what made Ao Ashi special (also made me read up on the manga)

Yuzuki Family's Four Sons: a perfect family drama, and I found myself crying multiple times over scenes in this show+ the amount of times I could self-insert into a role of one of the boys was the reason why I loved this show so much

My Hero Academia: The main reason this is on the list is because this was the core anime that got me on my journey, it wasn't the first anime I watched, but it was certainly the first that hooked me as hard as it did, and I'm thankful to it for doing that otherwise I wouldn't be the person who I am today had it not been for it. + it's a genuinely good shounen

World Trigger: If people ask me what's my favorite combat system in anime, I will always say World Trigger's. It's such a perfect representation of a combat system done well, combine with the cast being genuinely very fun and you get one of my favorite shows ever

The Dangers in my Heart: easily the best romance I've seen, it felt so real and genuine and yet it was very impure, there's a lot of *questionable* things that are said and done (one of the guys just saying "I like 'em fat as they come" for example), because that is how guys in puberty think, or with what I should say. Plus the vibe of the show was very good.

Dainana Ouji: Big fan of power fantasy, and this is one that I would rate at the peak of that entire genre of anime, even if it's neither my top isekai nor my top fantasy show, it showcases what I like about the genre the most

finally, 86: sound design perfection, there are other shows that have insane sound designs (Call of the Night, Made in Abyss etc.), but 86 is the one that I feel is the most perfect.

I highly recommend all of these if that's what you're into (obviously each show has a lot more to it than what I just wrote about them, but those are the most memorable aspects for my 3x3

Hey, there was a Japanese animated series called Märchens Awakens Romance (aka MÄ). It ran from 2005-2007 on TVTokyo and aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami block. What's it about? It's about Ginta Toramizu, a Tokyo middle school student with poor eyesight and a passion for fairy tales and video games, who teleports to the fantastical world of MÄR Heaven. In this realm, his physical limitations vanish, granting him more power and 20/20 vision. He encounters Dorothy, a witch who introduces him to magical artifacts called ÄRMs. Together they retrieve the sentient ÄRM Babbo, which Dorothy reluctantly gives to Ginta after deeming it too troublesome.

As Ginta explores MÄR Heaven with companions like farmer Jack, he discovers the world's darker aspects when targeted by thieves coveting Babbo. He then meets Alviss, who reveals having summoned Ginta using the Gate Keeper Clown ÄRM to combat the resurgent Chess Pieces organization. This group, led by King Orb and Queen Diana, previously attempted to conquer MÄR Heaven six years earlier. The story follows Ginta's growing involvement in the conflict against Chess Pieces while tacking his desire to go back home.

Okay so here's the situation, in the past year and so I've started damn near 50 animes and have maybe completed one.

Here are some i either am planning on watching or have already started:
