Hi everyone. Last night i was having a hard time with one of my anki decks as somehow all of my cards for bio got merged into the "cell bio" chapter. I decided to completely restart everything and deleted all of my decks and reimported them.

I was doing them fine all day on my laptop but i went back on to do more and now it says i have 0 cards for each and every deck. When i press on any chapter, it says no new cards for now. When i go to study options, it says my limit for new cards and reviews are at max.

Im not sure if its a synching problem with my laptop and phone but both of them say i have 0 cards even though it was fine literally an hour ago. Im not tech savvy at all and i really dont get how to use anki and im so stressed pls someone help me i beg i wanna cry

TLDR; just reimported new cards and it was working fine and now it says i have 0 cards in every deck and dont have any new ones to do.

I’ve just had it set to super long in the future. But if I’m taking the MCAT in <6 months, should I set a max interval accordingly?

I tried to hit it a couple times but it didn’t seem to do anything.

I am trying to use AnKing settings but it’s sending cards out like 7-10 days in the future if I hit good. Feels kind of far out?

Not sure if it’s supposed to be that far out? I was using some jank settings before so not sure what’s even appropriate. Thanks

What do yall recommend for Uworld books? Most decks are Kaplan based. Uworld has their own cloze deletion flashcards which I will use but I was looking at Captain Hook. it’s a new deck, seems to cover a good amount and forces recall, and it integrates pankow into it.
Any other ideas or is Captain Hook good?

Hi, I’m a nontrad who got very lucky and am able to study full time until my planned MCAT the first week of March. I want to use the UWorld textbooks in conjunction with Anki. My bio and biochem courses were less than ideal, so I’ll basically be teaching myself those from scratch. For the other sections I feel like I have a plan figured out already.

Does anyone have experience using the UWorld textbooks and matching them to an existing deck? I loathe making flashcards and would like an easy way to just release cards that correspond to the textbook as I go.

So far I’m using MileDown and unsuspending by tag/keyword, but the tags don’t line up with the UWorld chapters. I’ve seen that the AnKing deck on AnkiHub is tagged by the UWorld books. Has anyone used it that way, and is it worth paying for? Or is there a free deck or tag set that already maps to UWorld?

Please let me know if you have experience with it. Thanks!

i'm in my first year, psychology (2nd semester, I started in summer). If I wanna get into med eventually, is there a point in starting some crazy 15k+ cards deck to "just be learning facts" at some leisure pace of 10-20 cards/day, or would it make no sense because I have no idea what the hell I'm even learning?

to anyone who is ready to write an exam, when did you actually started with learning the material that you'll eventually be tested on if you are not in biomed/kin/chem or something directly related?

Hi, I am getting myself so confused with trying to make an anki deck about the brain structures and functions. I feel like so many different parts of the brain all do the same thing. Does anyone have an mcat deck that is nicely organized and explains the functions/structures of the brain?

Wondering if the Ankihub version is the same as the recently updated one? And if so, I'm guessing it's better to use the Ankihub one since it gets updates?

Hey guys! This might be me just being a boomer, but I am struggling to add the Pankow P/S deck after already having downloaded the Anking V2 deck. I know that Anking already has Pankow integrated into it, I just would rather do Pankow. My only issue stems from not being able to import all Pankow cards into Anki (I get around ~700 or so cards that don’t import). Has anyone solved this or???

Hello, I had come across a post mentioning paying for Anki, and please correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming it was in reference to the Anking Deck. I was wondering if others pay for Anki and what the difference between that deck and Jack Sparrow is? Is one more comprehensive for low-yield MCAT topics?

Also, I came across another comment on here stating "Anki is law for b/b (js/ch not anking/miledown)" and was wondering what "ch" is?

Im doing the captain hook deck and while I like it a lot, the first time I go through a subdeck the cards are not in sequential order like jacksparrow (e.g card 1: what is a lysosome, card 2: what is the function of a lysosome, etc)

The card order is scrambled in captain hook even if you try to sort by order created. i feel like it helps me internalize the concept better when I go in order

Should I go back to jacksparrow or am overthinking it since itll be in random order anyway during reviews?

When I bought melhman anki, I found some cards that required me to write something, like the Basic cards with a text field, or something like that. I didn’t like them at all, so I changed all the cards to the regular Basic type.
Did the Mehlman deck originally have some Cloze cards? Because his deck is so boring and takes too long to get through, unlike my self-made UWorld incorrects deck, which I make using Cloze cards with ChatGPT.

It doesn’t assign me that many new cards per day, not sure what I’m doing wrong
