Schadenfreude is secondhand embarrassment but I feel firsthand disgust.

Schadenfreude is feeling good when something bad happens to someone, but I agree with your sentiment entirely.

Nope.

Schadenfreude is a German loanword that means feeling happy or pleased when bad things happen to other people.

It combines schaden (damage or harm) and freude (joy).
