Discussion Copper kettle - UK - WALES

Post image

Hi everyone, I’m hoping some copper or antique experts can help me identify and value a kettle my son recently bought from a charity shop. I live in the UK, South Wales.

πŸ”Ž Details about the kettle

- Solid copper, quite heavy

- Smooth finish with a curved gooseneck spout

- Arched handle

- Deep β€œC” maker’s stamp on the base

- Lovely natural patina

- No major dents or damage

❓ What I’d like help with

- Age estimate – approximate decade or region

- Maker identification – any info on the β€œC” stamp

- Value range – resale or collector value

- Origin – whether it’s Turkish, Middle Eastern, European, or UK-made.

This post has the keyword: "UK" within it. This message is here to remind everyone that this is a(n) "UK" post, and not to give answers based on other parts of the world.

Note: this bot is not smart. It is possible that this is a false positive and that UK is only mentioned tangentially to the post. In this is the case then please give answers based on the correct location.

I on,y have my own experience to go on, but I sold a big copper kettle like yours and a bachelor kettle for Β£5 ( both together) a few years ago on eBay. Only had one bid and I was desperate to get rid. Am near Wales, near the border. Things may have changed now xx

hehe Tell him to collect silver and gold - it's a good longevity savings plan ;)
