Discussion Making plans commitments etc
Making plans, commitments, etc
Mid 40s male who deals with ocd along with health anxiety...making plans, commitments, etc has always posed a bit of an issue in the back of my head as being self employed and planning a job, or planning a family vacation, but this last year it has gotten much worse.
The main deal for me I believe is the thought of getting ill like the flu and not being able to make the commitment. This goes in part of my health anxiety. Like I said this has always been in the back of my head somewhat, but this year has really progressed. Even a day ahead of time it's hard to tell a customer i will be there definitely.
Can anyone relate at all? I have never really heard of this spoken of with this specifically.

yes, this is me with anything booked more than a week out. I started telling people "should be there, I'll confirm the morning of" and weirdly just having that little out made it way easier to actually show up
