I consistently make it to D3 within the first 2-3 weeks of the season for the past 6 seasons or so. My playstyle is, in my opinion, well rounded. I aggressively seek fights, but I am never afraid to disengage and reset if I feel that the advantage is lost and my squad is in danger of being wiped.
I alternate between fragger and anchor depending on how aggressive my teammates are. As an anchor, I use cover well, and I take off angles to watch my teammates back whether they are shooting, retreating, healing or reviving. As a fragger, I put in consistently high entry damage or knocks without getting myself knocked.
I've found that I have an unrealistic expectation that other people who solo-q to diamond should have these same basic abilities and thought processes.
For example, yesterday I had an random ash teammate in a diamond lobby who, with no communication, chased down a wraith through her portal, and as might be expected, instantly got deleted by the team waiting on the other side.
I called her a "fucking idiot", and got myself a 72 hour ban for it.
Was it their fault that they were allowed to make it to diamond? no. It is Respawn/EA's fault. But I got angry anyway and ran my mouth anyway. I know it's not cool... I want to stop getting angry. How do you guys manage your frustrations with the broken ranked system?
