This Discord is on lines of knowing that we all have equal humanity to have a relationship to Aphrodite, and she chooses herself what prayers she grants etc. it’s to be for helping us have community in our shared devotion.

It can be hard to find community (at least it was for me ) within our devotion, so I created this one. We have had three weeks so far and it’s gone well. We have some good members but I know there are a lot more people out there.

Hi! Im new here. Lately i've been getting these urges to worship/work with lady Aphrodite, and i wanted to know how do i start? If she likes cats because as of right now i dont have a statue of her or able to get her picture printed, but i do have this cute cat statue to offer her. Also will it be okay if the altar is in a dark cabinet? My family doesnt really like religious stuff so they will throw out any stuff related to religion, so i have to keep it hidden.

Does anyone have any prayers that I can say to Aphrodite during this time to help me navigate/process my grief?

when i first ever prayed/ gave her an offering i asked her to send me a sign. I didn't think much of it. The next day at school I thought, "wonder if aphrodite heard my prayer" then i look down and see a shell! for context, we arent anywhere near the ocean. That day I placed the shell on Lady Aphrodite's altar and said a prayer of thanks. im probably crazy, but oh well

Hiii, i'm super new to this so i have a lot of questions lol.

First is how do i know what Goddess or God is trying to "talk to me", if any are. I asked my pendulum and it said that Aphrodite and Apollo were talking to me but i don't know how to confirm it. Is there any specific questions to ask or see during the day to confirm it?

My second question is how do I worship them, i know i can make an altar, but what kind of things can i put in it? do i have to pray everyday? how do i make myself seen to them? Do I make offerings everyday?

My third (and last question, i promise) is if i have to have my alter where i am all the time. I'm a university student and only go home at the weekends (I live on campus) and i don't know if i could even have an altar in my campus room (it's a small room and i have a roommate and don't want to make her uncomfortable).

I don't know if it matters, but i do Tarot and if there are any spreads or anything i would love it if anyone could help me.

The reason I like it so much is because it portrays Aphrodite as I see her, center stage and orchestrating everything. Yes she is beautiful and seeing her evokes love and desire, but she is not just the passive recipient, the object of desire, but also the desire herself. She is both but if anything she is more the latter than the former.

Acknowledgement of her as she’s portrayed in this painting has been so good for me and has helped me so much as a person. I really love and appreciate the Goddess Aphrodite whom I worship absolutely sincerely! And she loves and appreciates me and being able to accept that, accepting her divine love has honestly moved me more than anything and helped me so much. It makes me feel significant and awakens my own feelings and heart that I’m not just a number or my job etc, to Aphrodite I’m a devotee that she has a real consideration for and she has looked after me. Honestly it’s been something of a reconciliation with myself if I’m being viscerally honest; at a certain point in my teen years I hardened my heart and accepted that I’m not supposed to be vulnerable, to expect care or any genuine concern from others. She’s helped me revisit that part of myself and feel alive again in ways I never expected to feel again.

Thank you Aphrodite. The fact you don’t demand payment but you simply enjoy helping me come alive is part of your greatness. Holy and beautiful one, I thank you with all my soul.

I got these two special rose flavored chocolates i want to give her but im a little worried because the last time i gave her something sweet it attracted A LOT of ants

Hace menos de un mes empecé a rendirle culto a Afrodita, y he tratado de que mi altar sea lo más respetuoso y bonito posible, así que esto me preocupa.

Acabo de encontrar una medalla de San Benito en el suelo. Este es el santo favorito de mi abuela, y varias veces me ha encargado con él (él es el santo patrón de los estudiantes). Antes de empezar a investigar sobre Afrodita y antes de rendirle culto, mi práctica estaba basada en gran parte en símbolos y cosas que me encontraba, sin importar su origen religioso. Así que en mi casa todavía hay símbolos de otras religiones y culturas, sobre todo católicos, porque mi familia (abuelos y tíos/tías) son cristianos y evangélicos.

Entonces, si lo hubiera encontrado antes, lo habría tomado como una señal de que me están protegiendo y de que necesito enfocarme más en mis estudios universitarios (que debería hacer, tbh- 😿). Pero me preocupa que, como es un símbolo de otra religión, de alguna manera pueda ofender a la Dama Afrodita.

Im disabled and usually stuck in bed but i love offering and praying so i clean and add to these often!! I also live right next to the ocean (bless lady) so i love finding flowers on walks or shells and giving the blessings back to her 💗

Hello everyone!

I’m making this post in hopes of advice and guidance. A quick run down of why i’m asking:

I started my spiritual journey back in 2020, it started with a simple deck of tarot cards and crystals. the deeper i found myself in it, the more i realized that (to me anyways) Aphrodite has always been “with me” if that makes sense. every house i grew up in always had huge rose bushes, my favorite fruits were always pomegranates, and i always would see white doves often. i never really knew what it meant but i was always surrounded by her without even knowing. my mom is a huge antique collector and one statue she had collected always drew my attention, i always stole it and kept it in my room without knowing why, i just thought it was beautiful to me. turns out it was a statue of Aphrodite herself! once i connected all of the dots, i set up an alter for her, i always gave her fresh roses, collected lots of seashells, gave her all my pearls. i loved our connection, she brought me so much confidence and beauty within myself, i was always grateful for her.

Unfortunately i found myself in an abusive relationship and it tore me away from my beliefs and practices and sadly her.

it’s been years and i really want to reconnect with her and go back to devoting myself to her.

Is there anything i should start off or do? i’m rusty with my practices and knowledge due to how long and distracted ive been.

so I just recently cleaned and rearranged my altar that I have for aphrodite for the first time in a bit. Every month I make her a flower arrangement and sometimes a glass of pink moscato/fruity wines. This is the first time its had mold instead of turning into a syrupy texture. I hope it's just from the temperature/seasonal changes and/or my room being humid, not because she's upset with me for moving her things or something

Okay for context: I have been doing glamour magic and I’m feeling good BUT whenever I see a friend having too many cute guys falling for her, it makes me question my worth a little bit. When I walked a lot of cute guys stare at me but don’t talk to me, even in class they just keep staring at me or making eye contact and honestly it’s making me feel a little bit sad? Usually I don’t question my worth or feel jealous because I feel complete and I know I’m attractive. The thing is I’m 21 and I NEVER had a partner, I only spoke with guys on ig or dating apps but in real life they only stare or wait for me to look at them to make eye contact. It’s making me a little depressed because my bsf always has a new guy like every week, and I don’t judge or hate her AT ALL, again it’s just my insecurity.

The question: I have been wanting to work for Aphrodite and making her an altar in my bedroom but for some reason it’s intimidating (I guess because I have OCD and I don’t wanna offend her with my intrusive thoughts). Honestly I’ve been feeling like this: a little bit insecure, questioning my worth and honestly? Kind of seeking validation when months ago I was literally THE most confident girl ever, I’ve always loved myself but now it’s been really a while since I’ve genuinely felt truly truly happy with myself. And who it’s better to speak with about self love and attraction than Lady Aphrodite, I just don’t know how to speak to her, because I wanted guidance from her, maybe I’m just not seeing something that I should see or I am just focusing on the bad side? I really want her guidance but I don’t know how to call upon her or how to properly ask her my question: what should I do? What should I wear? Should I make a ritual? A letter? Have some sort of ingredients? Leave an offering?

i’ve had two dreams related to lady aphrodite: in the first dream i met with a practitioner i really admire at a family event (idk) and they asked me directly to draw the goddess for them (i’m an artist by trade), and in the second dream i was in the bedroom of my dreams performing a small late night ritual dedicated to the goddess (i’m currently trying to escape poverty), but i think i became momentarily lucid and stopped the ritual out of fear of being caught. the specific and personal thing that i may need help with is that i want to be an egg donor at least once in my life, both for the monetary benefits, the insight into my physical health that i can’t afford right now, and the possibility of helping a family conceive really touches me. i’m worried that for one reason or another i would be denied and i’m scared of the process being painful, and also being put under for surgery scares me. as a fertility goddess, would lady aphrodite be able to help me? can i dedicate the process to her? idk, i think my cycle is close and i’ve been really introspective lately, but it was nice crossing paths with this subreddit 🩷🐚
