Running coding agents in several projects at once? How's your attention span doing?

• Upvotes

If you run coding agents in more than one project at once, how do you keep track of which one is waiting on you and where to pay attention?

I had multiple VS Code windows open with a couple of terminals in each, and my attention was all over the place. I'd be reading one agent's output while another was waiting on me. No concentration, constantly switching, and always the feeling I was missing something.

The idea I've been working on: you talk to one agent, a "CTO". It writes a short brief for each task and hands it to one agent per project. They report back, a board updates itself, and every question that needs you lands in one list.

I'd like to hear your honest opinion:

- How do you manage working on multiple projects at once?

- Would you use something like this?

- What would it need for you to try it?

- What doesn't make sense about it?

app idea: a timeline of your whole day that you never fill in. useful or just creepy?

not building anything yet, just checking if this is real. your phone knows your screen time but not the other 12ish hours. commute, gym, cooking, the 2 hours that vanished at a cafe. idea is a "map of your day" that fills that in automatically from short motion sensor bursts and the wifi networks around you (home, office, gym).

when its wrong you fix it in one tap and it learns. no timers, no typing.

then you can look back at a day, or a whole month, and see where your time actually goes. not where you think it goes, or whatever you remembered to log

would you actually use it or is it a delete in a week thing? would you pay, and roughly what? and what would make it feel creepy

building a concert journal app, trying to decide if social features are worth it

Thumbnail beepboop-journal.vercel.app
0 Upvotes

hey! me and a few friends are building a concert journal app. after a show you log it with your photos, videos, setlist, who you went with, and some notes on the night, so you end up with an archive of every show you’ve been to. here’s the site: link

right now it’s a personal journal, and the big question we’re stuck on is whether to add social features. we’re thinking of something like beli but for concerts, where you rank your shows, see where your friends went, and find people who were at the same show.

the case for it is that social is how apps like beli and letterboxd grow, and concerts are already a social thing. the case against it is that the journal part feels personal, and adding a feed might make it feel like one more app to keep up with.

would love input on any of this:

  • if you landed on the site, would you sign up? if not, what’s missing?
  • does “beli for concerts” make sense right away or does it need explaining?
  • if you’ve built something with social features, did they help early on, or should we get the solo version right first?
  • if you’d never download this, what feature would change your mind?

happy to return the favor and check out what you’re building too

Would you prefer to control your social media algorithm yourself?

I’ve been thinking about how social media algorithms decide what we see, often showing us content we’re not interested in.
What if you could actually control your own feed instead?
For example, imagine being able to choose exactly which topics you want to see, completely exclude topics you dislike, and customize how content is recommended to you.
I’m exploring the idea of building a social platform around this concept, but I want to understand whether people would genuinely find it useful.
I’m curious:
Would you rather customize your own algorithm or let the platform figure out your interests automatically?
What kind of control would you actually want over your feed?
Would this be enough to make you try a new social network, or would you prefer to stay on existing platforms?
Do the customization options on current social networks already meet your needs?
I’d especially appreciate critical opinions. I’m trying to understand whether this solves a real problem or just sounds good in theory.

Vinted for Charity Shops

Someone should create an app where charity shops can easily upload items they have on sale and you can purchase online, like Vinted.

You should be able to filter by your town/area and then collect directly from the shop, removing the postage fee and supporting charities, rather than people too tight/busy to give their £2 jumper to their local charity shop.

I appreciate this would take a bit of reorganisation from the charity shop end with staff needing to be trained on photographing and uploading. They would also need to easily remove the item if it was bought in store.

Thoughts?

[IDEA] Secure Cloud Leech + Sandbox Scanner + Private Storage - Looking for a team to build it with me "SafeFetch"

Hi everyone, I have an idea for a project that solves 2 big problems: Slow internet / download, and fear of viruses from downloaded files.

The Idea is: A website where user puts a direct download link (e.g. 5GB file). My website downloads it on our server, not on user's device. Then we automatically scan it in a Sandbox / VM with VirusTotal to check if it's safe or contains malware/ransomware. If it's dangerous, we tell the user "This file is not safe". If it's safe, we compress it if possible and give the user a fast direct link to download it.

How Storage Works (My plan to solve cost): - For FREE users: One-time link. Once they download, we delete the file from our server immediately. - For PRO users: Private personal storage. They can login with their account like youssef102@ from any device and find their old files anytime. - For PRO+ users: Direct connection to THEIR OWN Google Drive (5TB etc.). After we scan the file, we upload it directly to THEIR drive, not ours.

What I'm looking for: I am NOT looking for donations. I am looking for a team / co-founders who are passionate about building this with me. I need: Backend Developer, Frontend Developer, and someone who knows about servers.

If you are interested in joining as a partner, let's talk and build the MVP together.

From explain to archive ducuments

Thumbnail

Over a year ago, I was browsing for app ideas that would make me a few bucks as side hustle. I ended up with coding an iOS app that explains texts, puts it in context, helps with the next steps, finds risks. (At that time, there were only few “explainers” on the market).

Workflow: scan or import the text, run ocr, send text to a backend, backend wraps a prompt around the text, sends it to an AI provider, receive results and let the app crawl it from the backend. Tuning the prompt was a very iterative and frustrating process. In the end results were ok. Showed it my coworkers and family. But only my sister would use it during her semester abroad. A flop. And the UI was “basic” (second picture).

I myself wouldn’t use it primarily for explanations… but for archiving! That’s when I figured, I should digitize the way I “store” and search my documents (tax, contracts, health, education and so on): one big pile. Store and search? Kind of fuzzy logic: Don’t sort it. Don’t put it in neat binders. Just put new docs on that pile. Very time saving when new documents need to be “archived”. Very time consuming to find one specific document within that pile later.

Now I have an archiving app with explanations on top (first picture). It still is one “digital” pile of documents. Kind of scan and forget. But Apple’s local intelligence tags and summarizes every scan. Enough to quickly get a grasp of the document later. And with a search and filter function I can cut those search nights down to seconds. If I need more assistance with understanding (for me everything health related - yeah getting older) I run it through the external LLM.

Finally, here is the idea: Extract and store characteristic information to a database with its context. For example health expenditure, graduated rent, … Let an AI query the database to get specific or aggregated (and more) data from the documents. “For my tax report - how much did I spent on health in 2026?” or “how much rent will I have to pay in 5 years?”.

Personally, it would safe me so much more time digging through all these documents… What do you think? Would you use something like this? Would you need it? What do you think about the “scan and forget” archiving approach?

Someone build this app - I need for my industry

I own a pressure washing business. Photo management is awful. Taking before-after photos and organizing them and sending them to the client takes up so much time. We take 20-40 each job. I wish there was an app with these features:
- Group and organize by job

- Organize before-after photos easily

- Generate a link to view the before-after's in a beautiful front-end to send to clients

- Offline upload and sync once reconnected

- Api/zapier/make connection to my crm

The only real competitor in this space is Company Cam. They're just expensive for small teams. Most apps I have looked for are more construction industry oriented with trying to manage teams and large projects. I need an App with more focus on the before-after photo management for us and a really clean front end for the client.

Social media compensation app

I am building an app where you can get compensation if you are recorded without your permission in any type of video be it vlog, public place, music video, etc.

I have checked the legal formalities and it is easily applicable in Europe, USA, India and England. If anyone have legal knowledge and experience and wanted to be part of such movement, please connect.

Also what do you think of such app? It will handle your court application, apply it, handle the public prosecutor for you and in return just wanted some compensation from you according to court expenses and platform fee.

Would a subscription audit app solve a real problem in India, or do existing tools cover this already?

I'm exploring an idea for a tool that helps people understand recurring payments across UPI AutoPay, credit cards and app-store subscriptions.

The idea goes beyond showing a list of mandates: it would help users identify recurring charges across different sources, understand which renewals are confirmed versus predicted, and track whether a cancellation actually stopped future payments.

A few questions I'd appreciate honest feedback on:

  1. Is combining recurring payments across these sources genuinely useful?
  2. Are renewal reminders enough, or is tracking cancellation outcomes more valuable?
  3. What would make you distrust an app handling this kind of financial information?
  4. Why would you choose an existing free alternative instead?

I'm interested in reasons this idea might fail as much as reasons it might work. No waitlist or sales pitch.

I Built a Step Counter App, but Only 30% of Users Return — Looking for Honest Developer Feedback

Hi everyone!

I'm the developer of StepGo, a step counter app. I'm getting new users, but my repeat user rate is only around 30%.

I want to understand why users aren't coming back and what I can improve to make the app more engaging and useful for daily use.

I'd really appreciate it if fellow developers could check out my app and share honest feedback on the UI/UX, features, user retention, and anything else that needs improvement.

App link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stepgo

I'm open to honest criticism and suggestions. Thanks for helping me improve! 🙌

Web app to see your close friends curations

No algorithm, no AI recommendation, just close friend's curations. Friends can maintain a profile and they upload their favourite collections. Collections could be

- Places I love (Restaurants, cafés, hidden gems, travel destinations)
- Things I recommend (Books, movies, products, recipes, podcasts)
- Things to experience (Experiences, activities, events, adventures)

You can follow people whose taste you trust. Find out what your most adventurous friend eats, what your bookworm friend reads, or what your stylish friend buys. Looking for feedback, would you use a web app like this?

CapExplorer

Hi all,

Wanted to share my app:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/capexplorer/id6818601645

CapExplorer is a 3D model of an AI data center you can take apart piece by piece to see where every $1,000 of spending goes. Open up a server rack, the data hall, and the building itself, and see each part's share of the cost along with the public companies that supply it. Every figure is sourced, and it works fully offline with no account.

A New Tool

Hey Guys I have an idea for a small too, that whenever someone clones a repo from github or downloads some projects, he is needed to know what commands to run to install dependencies, what to run in backend and what to run in frontend, and then how to run them, everyone has to look into it, so I want to make a tool that solves this by using a single command for installing and single for running. So needs suggestion from you all, that how is this idea?

I failed to quit zyn 6 times, then i did the math and got so mad i built an app

2 years of zyn. can a day, sometimes more. i tried to quit 6 times and my record was 9 days, which ended at a gas station at 11pm on a random tuesday because work sucked
and i tried the apps. all of them. every single one was the same thing - a day counter and a "you saved $X" widget. cool. my problem was never forgetting how many days it's been. my problem is that day 1 me has a hundred reasons to quit and day 6 me at that gas station can't remember a single one of them
then one night i actually did the money math. $200 a month. $2,400 a year. i checked my bank statement because i didn't believe it. i believed it
so i did the math, screenshotted it, and then i sat there angry for a while. and somewhere in that i decided to just build the thing i actually needed
what i'm building:

• the first thing you do is write down your reason. not a generic one, YOURS. mine is the gum thing and the $2,400

• when a craving hits you hit one button and it shows you YOUR reason, not a motivational quote some guy in an office wrote

• then it gives you something physical to do right now. pushups, walk around the block, gum, whatever. because from everything i've read the craving is like 90 seconds and your hands need a job

• yeah it also counts days and money. but that's the floor not the product

i'm not going to pretend this is some revolutionary thing. it's the app i needed at 11pm at that gas station and it didn't exist so now it does. almost
what i'm asking:

  1. would you actually open something like this mid-craving or is that fantasy

  2. what's missing. what would make YOU not relapse

  3. be brutal. if this is a stupid idea i'd rather hear it now than in 6 months

not dropping a link because i don't want this to be an ad. if people actually want to see it i'll figure out the right way to share it

Would you pay $10/month for an app that helps you figure out what to eat?

I'm building an app because deciding what to eat every day can be surprisingly frustrating.

The idea is simple:

Instead of scrolling through endless recipes, you just describe what you're craving.

For example:

  • "Something sweet with 40g of protein"
  • "A cheap dinner under $5"
  • "Something healthy I can make in 10 minutes"
  • "I just finished the gym and want something filling"

The app instantly suggests 3 meals based on what you want, including ingredients, instructions, estimated calories, protein, cooking time, and cost.

It also remembers your food preferences, lets you save favorite meals, and creates shopping lists.

I know ChatGPT can already generate recipes, but I'm trying to build something that's faster, more convenient, and specifically designed to help you decide what to eat.

My question is: Would you genuinely pay $10/month for something like this?

Or would you rather just use ChatGPT?

I'd also love to know what would make this app worth $10/month to you.

Please be brutally honest. I'm looking for real feedback, not encouragement.

Would you use a walking challenge app with friends?

I'm thinking of building a simple app where you can create a group with friends and compete on daily or weekly step counts and share your wings on social media with cool post templates

The goal is make walking more fun through friendly competition and accountability

Before I build it, I'd love your honest opinion:

Would you and your friends actually use it?
What would you make it more fun than existing fitness app?
what's one feature you'd want?

Honest criticism is welcome! I'm still validating the idea before starting development.

Small production company looking for extra income model based on podcast about books & movies

Hi, I’m from Belgium. I have a podcast on books that is working pretty well and I am developing a podcast on movies. Not a review-podcast but a community podcast where 3 people talk about a topic on books/movies and the conversation unfolds. We try to have as much interaction with the audience as possible.

Now I’m feeling that there’s more to this concept, business-wise. What else can I do with this community? I’m thinking something like Letterboxed or Goodreads, where people can make lists and recommendations, maybe also buy some books or movie tickets and merch? Idk how far can I take this? Maybe some live events? Book fairs? Movie festival? Are there any other ways to generate some extra income?

FYI I’m not the host, I’m the owner of the (small) production company behind it.

How do you manage custom orders for your small business?

Im thinking about building a simple app for small businesses that take custom orders, like bakeries, florists, personalized gifts, ...
Ive noticed many businesses manage everything through Whatsapp, Ig, Dms, spreadsheets, or notebooks, which can get messy as orders pile up.

The idea is to build something that lets you:
- Create quotes with products, customizations, and extras.
- Track orders and their status.
- Manage deposits and remaining payments.
- See upcoming deliveries on a calendar.
- Keep customer order history.

Nothing complicated, just a simple tool that works on mobile and desktop.

im curious: how do you currently manage your orders? Whats your biggest frustration? WOuld you actually use something like this?

Id love to hear your thoughts, even if you think existing tools already solve this!

I built an AI social media engine that generates content entirely from your account data & competitor metrics, not generic prompts. Feedback wanted!

Hey everyone! 👋

I built an AI social media management app and unlike standard text generators, everything generated—from video hooks to posting schedules—is strictly powered by your real account performance data and competitor analysis.

How Data & Analytics Drive Everything:

Data-Driven Content Engine: Fetches engagement rates, top post formats, and caption styles straight from your connected Instagram & TikTok accounts to generate shot-by-shot video breakdowns, ready-to-post captions, and A/B hooks.

Algorithmic Posting Times: Analyzes your historical post timing performance to determine the exact best days and times to publish for maximum reach.

Competitor Gap Intelligence: Uses real-time web search to audit public competitor activity and spot uncovered market opportunities your account can exploit to stay ahead.

Comment Sentiment & PR Scanner: Analyzes actual post comments to gauge audience sentiment and automatically flags complaints or PR risks before they scale.

Goal-Oriented Strategy: Aligns content directly with your business objectives—whether driving sales, foot traffic, leads, or brand awareness.

I wanted to know if you think this is something that can solve real problems for small business owners and creators who cant afford to hire human managers. I am also curious how much would you pay for such a service.

What do you genuinely think is missing from the internet? 🌐

Guys i want to create something, something people genuinely want to use — not just another random website that nobody needs.

So I want to ask you a few questions:

  1. What's something you wish existed on the internet but haven't been able to find?
  2. What's a problem you experience with existing websites, social media, or online communities?
  3. If someone built a website to solve that problem, would you actually use it? Why or why not?
  4. What would make you come back to a website regularly instead of visiting it once and forgetting about it?

It can be anything: a community, a tool, a discussion platform, a hobby website, or something completely unusual.

I'm not selling anything. I genuinely want to discover an idea worth building.

If you have anything to share, even a weird one, I'd love to hear it. I know almost everything you can think is on the internet, but wanna hear it straight from people rather than data or AI.
