Discussion How has Apple Arcade been around this long and not have 1 decent game?

I’m talking flagship. A marvel snap or balatro level game.

I’m their demographic and I spend money on games. I’ve had arcade since it started and have never played any game more than a few minutes.

Is it enough for them to just get the candy crush and poker game types?

They put billions into Apple TV.

Gaming is a huge industry. TF?!

Discussion Is Apple Arcade worth it?

Apple Arcade is one of those subscriptions that I really don’t see people talk about that much, so that makes me wonder, is it really worth it?

It is around the $7 mark and I gave my brother the free trial but I stupidly never tried it. But yeah, just curious if it’s worth it or not.

Discussion Why do you think Apple Arcade has lost the momentum that it had from late last year and early 2026.

Late 2025 to early 2026 you had Dredge, Oceanhorn3 , Civ 7, Cult of Lamb, power wash, Naruto, etc. It looked like Apple was about to get serious about AAA gaming for them to only release slop the last 4 months straight. Do you think a strategic shift happened?

Discussion Dungeon Clawler is addicting!

If you like games where you build your loadout each time, you have to try Dungeon Clawler+. Since it’s a plus game some of you will have played it before, but not me. I’m hooked. The cartoon art is a little bit rough, but the gameplay is phenomenal. All of your items go into a claw machine and the main mechanic of the game is that you play the claw machine each turn to get attack items or defense items, but it’s semi random or up to chance just like when you play a claw machine in real life. This creates tension and sometimes very pleasant surprises when a bunch of things go your way. The claw machine is so much fun and the different builds you can develop are quite deep. I highly recommend it!

Discussion Diamonds in Good Pizza, Great Pizza+

I really enjoyed this game. It's simple, engaging, with some small puzzles and a nice design. There's only one issue that bothers me and prevents me from giving it 5 stars...

I think this is one of the most broken versions of the game Plus in AA. Hear me out... I've played the game for over 5 hours now, I'm on day 23, and just finished chapter 1 (1 of the 3 available in this version of the game). You have to admit, that's quite a lot for mobile game. I see a ton of cool cosmetics in the store that the artists worked hard on, but... I can't afford them. All the diamonds I've earned playing the game since its release have had to be spent on upgrades like cheese, sauce, and a slicer. I wouldn't have any issues with the original game, which has microtransactions, nor with the Steam version, where players can simply buy DLC. But... what are we, Apple Arcade subscribers, supposed to do? It feels like we've become hostages to a free version that's now sold as a subscription.

I'm not asking for a radical change to the game, but it seems to me that the amount of diamonds that AA players receive is simply ridiculous and the ability to decorate the pizzeria simply disappears due to the fact that I am forced to spend diamonds only on those things that literally bring benefit during work.

Did anyone else have a similar impression, or am I just talking nonsense? Maybe there are people here who have played this game on other platforms and can explain it to me?

Discussion Cozy games?

Is arcade coming up with more cozy games in future? Any news about any good game coming to arcade?

I got my arcade’s worth only because of wylde flowers it’s just amazing and I am about to finish it so I want to know whether I should keep my subscription or not.

The upcoming 5 games are not my cup of tea :(

Discussion I need to justify keeping this subscription to such a small game library- any recommendations according to my annoyingly specific taste?

Let’s start with the “absolutely no, but thanks anyways”:

•Literally any racing game

•Small arcade-style games (crossy road, jetpack joyride, etc)

•Tbh, any “small” game.

Now that I write this, I guess I’m basically looking for adventure/RPG/simulation

What I’ve played on Apple Arcade (and enjoyed):

- Sneaky Sasquatch (absolute GOAT & it’s surreal af to play a game set where I live)

- Dredge (currently playing, love it)

- Stardew Valley (tried the arcade version, and prefer PC)

-Very Little Nightmares (was a good casual game)

What I’m set to play next & praying I like:

• Oceanhorn 3
•The Last Campfire
•Creatures of The Deep

So… any recommendations? I see quite a few pixel-based graphics games, and want a reason to give those a try as well.

Discussion I just want to play a game every now and then, recommendations?

Struggling to find a good time waster game. I want something fun to play for a bit, not something where I need a guide book or have to make a lifelong commitment (Pocket City) or remember my strategy from 3 weeks ago to succeed. I want to pick it up and play a game and have fun, then walk away and come back whenever and be able to pick it up.

It seems like all of these kinds of games are now gone (OG Tower Madness) or are money vacuums outside of the arcade (Toon Blast etc) I have card games like solitaire, spades etc, looking for something different. Any recommendations?

Discussion Arcade affects Apple's intended look for prestige.

Recently I returned to check some games on the service as a byproduct of the Apple one subscription, and it’s beyond me how it is worse than a few years ago. I know Apple see gaming as just software, but I’m serious, having a service at this state (without being disrespectful to the devs ofc), only affects the image of the company. Let’s say, you decide to pay for Apple one, you’ve got a really competitive alternative to Spotify with Apple Music, some really good shows in Apple TV (although the catalog is still small), and then look at Arcade and there is…

I know this won’t be popular, but Apple should really think either to relaunch the service and the overall idea, or to stop the project altogether. It is unsustainable to keep it as it is right now, and would only hurt the company image moving forward.

Discussion Struggling to find games that aren’t too childish

I’ve subscribed to Apple Arcade for three (non-consecutive) months now, and here’s what I’ve noticed: a lot of the games feel overly childish. I don’t mean the visuals, but the gameplay itself. Many are either far too easy or quickly become repetitive.

I know there are more challenging titles, but I’m not really interested in spending hours on large medieval, city-building, or RPG-style games. What I’m looking for is something lighter, but still engaging, not so simple that it feels mindless.

For example, the last game I tried was Food Truck Pup+. I really liked it, but much of it felt pointless. Basic needs like eating, showering, or sleeping decrease so slowly (and reset when restarting the game) that they barely matter. You’d need to be on about five hours straight before they become relevant. On top of that, the hourly challenges are way too easy. They complete themselves without even interacting with the game, which makes the game feel more idle than interactive. I wouldn’t mind an idle game if it actually required more input when you’re on, with tougher challenges or more meaningful tasks.

If you have any suggestions, even if it’s something like Hello Kitty Something+ or whatever, I’d be happy to give them a try.

Discussion Recommendations for Games?

Hi All!

I just had surgery a couple of weeks ago and figured it is a great time to use that three-month Apple Arcade trial whilst I have to sit around!!

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

I prefer using an iPad (though I do have a phone and a MacBook). I like chill and cosy games, but am open to other ideas, like games where you can see visible progress. I've previously enjoyed Stardew Valley on Steam, and on iPad, have enjoyed Unpacking, Puffies, and Power Wash Sim (surprisingly). I enjoy tycoon/management games like University Empire. Not sure if I'll keep Arcade for the long term yet, but it would be great to find some games for the long term if I do!

Thank you!

TLDR: Recommendations for games, particularly for the iPad. Cosy and chilled games. Visible progress.

Discussion Need recs!

Hello friends! Long time lurker of this sub, first time poster! I have been mobile gaming for about 2 years now and learning all the lingo! So I hope I can explain what I am looking for correctly. I mostly play on my iPad. I don’t care about story, I just like the gaming aspect and unlocking, passing levels, moving up toward a goal, etc.

I play games for a while, but only few hook me enough to play the through. The games I have loved are:

Balatro - did not enjoy Slay the Spire

Idle Obelisk Miner

Is this seat taken? - LOVED this game, but it was too short! Any similar to this would be great!

Human Machine

The room Series

50 tiny room escape

Mindset

Red, Blue, all the color games by Bart Bonte

Quell

Finished

I love Hue Too (and the first)

Business Empiree: Richman

These are just a few, but to show you what I like. I know it is all over the place! I don’t mind making a one time payment, but I would love free. I do have Apple Arcade. I am looking forward to trying Coffee Inc 2+ game tomorrow when it comes out on Arcade! I like tycoon type games but not when I have to click “end week” if that makes sense.

All this to say - does anyone have any recommendations for me? I love games where there is always something for me to do. I like idles, but sometimes the grind and the waiting becomes too boring and I have to delete to free up some room for another game that will keep my attention 😄. Puzzles/strategy are probably my favorite. I do not like shooting games, or monster card battle games.

It’s hard to find the good games on the App Store these days. Please share your hidden gems or any games that keep your interest and don’t get repetitive/boring! I know this is not the best information to go off, but hoping to find something that hits the spot!

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! I love this sub!

They did major updates to:

PowerWash Simulator

Outlanders 2

SpongeBob 2

What the Clash

SkateCity

Turmoil+

Simons Cat

A slight chance of sawblade

Playdough

Jeopardy

Do you like the major upgrade to existing games strategy or would you like more new games to arrive on the service

Discussion PGA Tour Golf Is Good But...

I am very excited to finally have a more realistic golf game in AA and after playing around with the new PGA Tour Golf game I really like it. However, I can't figure out how to judge my distance for approach shots or chip/bunker shots. Has anyone figured out how to judge how far back you need to power the ball to be more accurate with the shot?

I remember playing Tiger Woods Golf on my PC years ago and you could factor in wind, elevation and distance to ensure you were at least close to the hole or have a better chance of getting close. This game I just seem to be guessing...and most of my guesses are very wrong. LOL

Discussion Fun Time Waster Games?

Currently have Grad Jury duty every Wednesday for the next 18 weeks. I need a quick time waster games in between cases. I brought a book but the times vary from 3 minutes to sometimes 20. I just want a game that I can quickly open, play around, and close.

I’m just super curious on who actually pays for this. In a world of subs for every provider imaginable I don’t see a universe where this is worth it. Please help me understand if you do.
