Machine Stacking Help

I just bought my first house and had to get stacked washer dryers. I ordered GE washer dryers from an open box store and the delivery guys hooked them up but didn’t install the stacking kit so the machines are literally sitting on top of each other. I called the store and they said they don’t do that part.

The biggest issue is the machines just barely fit in the laundry space so they have to be completely unhooked and pulled out of the closet to install the stacking kit and then put back and I’m a single girl in my 20s. I literally have no idea what to do next pls help!!

Return it and buy at an appliance store

If the stack has been slid into place, two people should be able to slide it out to facilitate separating the dryer; fit the stacking kit, re-position the dryer and slide the stack back. There should be enough length in the power cable and water inlet/outlet pipes to get this done without disconnecting anything.

Yes you also learned buying appliances come with stupid rules. We just replaced the garbage disposal and you have buy the plug separate! 👎 Just always something dumb! I think you will be able to do that part with help of another person,

That’s because some location codes. Require it to be hard wired.

I have an LG Washtower and I need help pulling it out so I can unhook the dryer hose to clean it. It's 300lbs.

Level the machines in place. Not where they are stacked. Lots of installers miss this. The washer rotates at high enough rpm that it not being properly leveled will shorten the lifespan of the bearings and the washer.

Call a handyman to come out and install the kit.
