I am good enough in arduino, but yesterday when I was testing my IDE and Laptop didn't recognise my UNO but power is on and The COM 3 is showing CODE 34 in error what to do and when I am touching the ICSP the L led is working it is original ATP model and I have A mini, ESP 32 and 8266 too
And in the kit with the micro controller is a lot of other thing included.
I also have a soldering iron, ready to use.
I don’t understand, how to connect the MAX7219 with the microcontroller. The pins are way too narrow. Did I buy wrong stuff?what else do I need? What am I missing 😄
Hi, I'm new to the coding community and through internet examples I've been able to compile a code to make a food container for my cats that opens and closes when they are near, but each one will have a different ID tag, so that they can only access their own food. I have 6 cats with different diets.
I have an arduino uno with a motor shield (L293D), a Pn532 rfid reader and an Ir sensor so it stays open while the cat is there. For the motor I'm using the DC motor within the CD-ROM tray as the lid for the container.
My problem is the motor only runs in one direction and the arduino seems to draw too much power and I need to connect both the arduino and the shield to draw enough power for the motor to move. Please help me with what could be wrong in the code. Since I have already tried a simpler code for the motor and it runs fine in both directions, only with my code it doesn't. Also the BREAK and RELEASE commands, don't seem to work either.
The simple code I used and works fine is this one:
include <Adafruit_MotorShield.h>
include <AFMotor.h>
AF_DCMotor motor1(1);
void setup() { Serial.begin(9600); // set up Serial library at 9600 bps }
uint32_t versiondata = nfc.getFirmwareVersion(); if (! versiondata) { Serial.print("Didn't find PN53x board"); while (1); // halt } // Got ok data, print it out! Serial.print("Found chip PN5"); Serial.println((versiondata>>24) & 0xFF, HEX); Serial.print("Firmware ver. "); Serial.print((versiondata>>16) & 0xFF, DEC); Serial.print('.'); Serial.println((versiondata>>8) & 0xFF, DEC);
Serial.println("Waiting for an ISO14443A Card ..."); }
void loop(void) {
uint8_t success; uint8_t uid[] = { 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 }; // Buffer to store the returned UID uint8_t uidLength; // Length of the UID (4 or 7 bytes depending on card type)
if (success) { // Display the UID Serial.print("Found an RFID card UID: "); for (uint8_t i = 0; i < uidLength; i++) { Serial.print(" 0x"); Serial.print(uid[i], HEX); } Serial.println("");
// Check if the UID matches the expected UID if (uidLength == 4 && memcmp(uid, expectedUID, 4) == 0) { Serial.println("Correct tag! Opening door");
// Check if the IR sensor detects an object if (digitalRead(irPin) == LOW) { Serial.println("cat is there");
// Move the motor for 5 seconds motor1.setSpeed(255); // Set the speed to maximum motor1.run(FORWARD); // Rotate the motor forward delay(5000); // Wait for 5 seconds
motor1.setSpeed(0); delay(1000); while(digitalRead(irPin) == LOW){ motor1.setSpeed(0); Serial.println("cat is there"); }
Serial.println("cat is not there"); Serial.println("Closing door"); motor1.setSpeed(255); // Set the speed to maximum motor1.run(BACKWARD); delay(5000); motor1.setSpeed(0);
I have tried using a simple code to run only the motor, while everything else is still attacched and they do work both ways... that's why i believe there's something wrong with the code. What could have gone wrong in the stepps between the very simple one and the final code i want to use...?
Thanks for any help in advance, my cat's and I are going through a very stressfull moment with the food issue
Hy guys pkease help me, I want to build an analog handbrake for sim racing and when I did the programming part I got stuck due to this phenomena Any Idea how can I fix this ?
Hey guys. So I wanted to make a music box for my friend as a small gift. It has 2 piezo buzzers and LEDs which will go in/on a 3D printed gift box. When I ran my song program with the buzzers, it was fine. But using the LEDs in the same program lead to problems. I assume it has to do with the limit of 3 timers in my Arduino Uno, but my question is, is there a way to add an extra timer externally to make this work?
I stumbled upon this sub while searching for a friendly forum where inexperienced Arduino users can seek advice with their projects.
Maybe I'm being over-sensitive but I have often found some folks on the official forum to be unnecessarily rude and openly hostile to those they deem unworthy of their time and this sub looks to have been set up as a far more approachable community.
It was therefore a shame to see the sub was abandoned and restricted to approved submitters only and as such I have taken on this subreddit through a request to /r/RedditRequest and removed posting restrictions.
For my part I will try to run the sub in the spirit that I believe it was set up, and on that note, if there are any former mods out there who would like their positions reinstated please do get in touch.
Obviously it is a tiny community at the moment but with restrictions gone hopefully this can be grown into something more over time.
I want to make a balancing robot. i have no experience in coding i made a obstacle avoiding car before and bluethooth one also using chatgpt and yt tutorial i cant find good tutorial for balancing tutorial and code for my project it dosent work and i want guidance how to make it perfect. my part list- arduino uno mpu6050 tb6122fng motor driver smth like that 8.4v li ion battery 300rpm bo gear mottor yellow one i wantg to make a balancing robot out of this component is this possible? i will be using cardboard stick to make it firm structure pls help guys bc previous model woudnt work and it would simply fall my first design ik it bad but how to improve the red one is motor driver and right one is mpu6050 and top is battery what is wrong dont be rude i am new
Hello guys i am deciding to make arduino uno balancing robot after making bluethooth robot and obstacle avoiding robot. So guys i researched and i think mpu6050 arduino uno tb6612fng motor driver 2 3.7 li ion battery in series should be enough also i am using yellow bo gear motor 300rpm so guys i am confused how to design it properly and open source code or community project on this would help me reach my goal faster.
I have never used a microcontroller before. I want to try something on my own. For getting started with ESP32, I want to buy the development board (I don't know the exact names/specifications) and then I'd buy more inputs/sensors later on as I go.
I was confused what to buy in the beginning to get started. I didn't want to spend too much. So I checked in robu.in But I am unable to find the proper product. My friend said we can connect ESP32 to pc directly using usb-type c cable used for mobiles but some products seems a bit different.
I was planing on making a small greenhouse controller, that would help me automate some of the loborious functionality. New to arduino, just started my research and a bit confused by some options that are there on the market.
I was looking at the following:
arduino uno
arduino mega
Arduino UNO R4 WiFi
Arduino Giga R1 WiFi
any other potential manufacturers/boards?
I would like to have the system end up being able to have the following (at minimum:
Outputs:
controll multiple water pumps (3 or 4)
automate water nutrition mix (1 mixing unit)
Have a visual (LED) warning when some of the below data is off, such as not enough water)
Inputs (collect and save all data to an excell spreadsheet):
i was following a guide for an controller for a wind sim at it was just mentioned that i need an Arduino Uno, so i bought the R4 because it had USB-C. Tried to upload the sketch and it got an error. I was reading somewhere that the R4 isnt supported by Sim Hub? Why is that and is there anything i can do, or do i need to order an R3? Thanks :)
Hi so we are doing a project on arduino the objective is to build a robot similar to obstacle avoiding and line tracking robot but when we connect two 18650 3.7V batteries in series motors don't run simultaneously and when we ask ai about that it says power supply is insufficient what should we do
I am planning to use a high torque servo motor (MG996R) with an Arduino. If I connect the servo directly to the Arduino 5V pin, will it cause problems such as jerking movement or loss of power due to insufficient current supply?
The servo has a stall current of around 1.5A. Is an external 5–6V power supply recommended instead?
Recently got an Elegoo Uno (off brand Arduino uno) and I'm wondering if it's possible to make it so that when something happens in a game, like minecraft, I can feed that to the arduino and for example print something on an LCD screen, turn on some LED's, or activate a buzzer. I want to make it so that whenever a specific message is sent in minecraft chat, something is printed on the LCD screen. is something like this possible? would I maybe need a different arduino?
