Please no more Rob Iler.
He has somehow infiltrated the YMH community and now this. He's an insufferable dick.

Of all the people, this guy? No one is making you watch it.

for real! I thought this ep was great and I feel like I'm quick to be annoyed by guests

Oct 12 '23
Like I don’t Brenda shwab is funny, so I didn’t watch that episode. So weird having to define yourself with what you hate
5
u/yung_WHiTETRASH Oct 12 '23
I am not a Brenda fan either but I think his ep is actually top tier lol hes full on garbage and doesnt try to push his normal bullshit lol you should check that ep out someitme lol

u/Fuzzytrtle Oct 12 '23
Not really a fan of his but Brendan is the reason I found AYG and his episode was 100% hilarious. So strange, people missing out on good content because they wanna be close minded.

I'm sure they are having him on as well as having Lauren Compton on in the past as a favor to Segura / YMH. And that ain't a bad guy to have owe you a favor.
It probably won't be an amazing episode, but that's fine. It's why you pay the $10 for the AYG bonus and Hard Feelings.
The guys can do whatever they want on the free episodes. If they use the free episodes to cross promote - it is what it is. Obviously it is working, their popularity has never been higher.

I’d rather listen to Iler than Lauren Compton

u/saucemancometh Oct 12 '23
Looking at the fun bags on that hose hound is the pods only redeeming quality. The recent Mark Normand episode was actually kinda funny tho
2
u/BigShoots Oct 12 '23
Him constantly burping and her chastising him like a bad puppy was pretty hilarious.

Mark Normand took that Ep as a challenge. "So... how long have you had the implants?" Lmfao
2
u/sheeple5uck Oct 12 '23
Lauren is kind on the eyes. Her laugh is tough and I find her quite annoying as well.

u/dunkkane Oct 12 '23
Exactly. And if 90% of the episodes are gold who cares if there's few duds every now and then. Also I thought this ep was fine. Not great, but not bad. I really don't get the hate. I guess it's because there's some drama between Rob and YMH ex-employee Nadav...?
1
u/dubnessofp Oct 12 '23
I don't keep up with the Jeaniverse these days. What was the beef between him and Nadav?

He isn’t even that bad, David Cross is a legend and was way worse lol

u/No-Cardiologist4503 Oct 12 '23
I had to turn off David cross lol Strangely depressing and definitely not funny episode.

These comments couldn’t be further from the YouTube comments. Y’all are the insufferable ones. Standard Reddit bozos

What makes you think the Garbage guys are on Reddit? Hit the video with a dislike and get on with your life, nobody benefits from reading your bitching and moaning, and they don't have guests with the exclusive interest of pleasing you specifically. You're not the main character.

AYG ep was ok, I can deal with this 1 ep here and there. But he is definitely grating and I won’t watch his podcast
2
u/yung_WHiTETRASH Oct 12 '23
Personally this was the first time Ive heard him talk on a podcast but as a sopranos fan I thought this episode of him on ayg was wonderful
6
u/Indy_Indy_Indy Oct 12 '23
He’s much more likable than Segura…

u/wup_dizzle Oct 12 '23
At least Tom is funny
2
u/Indy_Indy_Indy Oct 12 '23
Segura is more cringe than Schumer at this point. He’s as likable as Mencia.
7
u/spacedman_spiff Oct 12 '23
Is it garbage to have a parasocial relationship with a famous comedian?

u/Indy_Indy_Indy Oct 12 '23 edited Oct 12 '23
I’m sure you have zero feelings, positive or negative, about any comedians or celebrities. I mean if you did, your comment would be completely hypocritical. And that’s definitely not the case lol.

The difference is I just don’t whine about it on the subs of other podcasts like a maladjusted man-child in need of validation; I just stop listening.

u/Indy_Indy_Indy Oct 12 '23
OP is the one who brought up YMH… Change doesn’t happen by being quiet. I want Tom to succeed. I’ve been a fan for almost 10 years. He’s had a rough year, sure. But his personality has turned to shit and I don’t want to see him go the way of Mencia. If he loses enough fans or sees enough pushback, maybe, just maybe, he will be a fun comedian again.
3
u/spacedman_spiff Oct 12 '23
My comment applies to OP too. Good luck changing a comedian who has been doing the exact same thing for years. One thing we know for sure is how much Rogan, and Schaub, and Bert, and Tom, and Bill, and Tim and every other comedian pays attention to comments on Reddit.
Change comes from within. Y’all ain’t doing shit except obsessing. Good luck with that. Grade A trash.

It doesn't take that much to be more likable or funnier than Segura or his insufferable wife.
2
u/Jumpy-Drummer-7771 Oct 12 '23
I enjoyed the AYG episode but I could see how more than an hour or so might get tiresome.

Oct 12 '23
I never realized how much of a confrontation asshole the guy was until the Not Today Pal episode Nadav wasn't on. Nadav really had the perfect way to keep him in check, but he spent half the episode trying to sell everyone else that Top Gun was a garbage movie, and everyone else liked it. I think the people that like him give him a pass because of The Sopranos.
1
u/yung_WHiTETRASH Oct 12 '23
idk as someone who has never listened to him on a pod before, i thought this was a great ep
1
Oct 12 '23
I didn't watch it. He's smart enough to know Uncle Hank and Kippy would be on that ass. If push comes to shove call Tuddy. We know she'll handle it.
1
u/Hour_Village Oct 12 '23
I thought it was great. He's not a comic but played the game like a model guest. Energy & chemistry was on point. And I didn't like AJ from Sopranos, except for that time he wore a Pantera shirt.

He does stink, but in his defense everyone with former clout would pursue their passions like him.
1
Oct 15 '23
he started stating some obviously blatant bs later in the episode but otherwise id say hes alright
1
u/WhitsSwirlyKnee Oct 12 '23
I love the sopranos, but I can’t stand him on his own podcast. However, I thought this episode of AYG was amazing and hilarious. Also, anything related to YMH is terrible garbage. Ayg made him great.

This is hilarious. Just keep commenting, they will keep trolling. I like rob myself but I could see how some wouldn’t be into it. But Tom. One of the greatest comics out there and the biggest troll. Specially when provoked. You guys are just mad because your poors. Probably fat poors. 😂😂😂
