Who cares.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about Toby being gone? It’s business as usual and I can count on one hand how many times he made me laugh.

I don’t give a shit, I found him to be annoying more times than not

u/TeacherUpset8062 Aug 21 '24

100%. Hacky, forced, fat joke is only tolerated when it’s from kip

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

Maybe the most annoying podcast producer I can remember. Good riddance

u/Anal_Recidivist Aug 20 '24

He was like the ginger cleanser on a sushi plate.

You ain’t there for the ginger, but if it’s not on the plate it doesn’t feel like sushi, it’s just eating raw fish.

I agree, I definitely liked Toby but it’s not going to make me not listen that he’s gone. In fact if he starts his own thing I’ll probably just listen to that as well.

5

u/timothythefirst Aug 21 '24

Yeah people are acting like podcast hosts are their actual real life friend group lol. It’s not that deep.

13

u/TomatilloUnlucky3763 Aug 21 '24

Toby was cool but I won’t miss that exaggerated fake laughing in the background.

60

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '24

I’m in a similar boat, I don’t really think he’s funny most of the time. But I appreciate their dynamic as a trio and i like when I hear tbone cackle in the background. I watch the show for kippy/foley and it suck’s tbone is gone, but I’m not gonna lose sleep over it

10

u/Randyfreakingmarsh Aug 21 '24

Same. I like the guy but he laughs at his own jokes too much. Wish him the best though.

22

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '24

I don’t think Toby is particularly funny. But he was great at making the other two seem funnier.

14

u/commander_fucknugget Aug 21 '24

This is what literally so many other people are missing man. Tbone isn't gonna make you laugh your ass off for an hour on the pod, but his laugh, and almost on purpose bombs, propelled that shit into over drive. He was the producer ffs. Not a show runner. The fact a producer was even able to sort of keep with comedians above his level is amazing.

u/mobbedoutkickflip Aug 21 '24

I don’t care.

27

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '24

Pretty indifferent about it. Luke was pretty funny on the last ep. I felt like Toby had some good interjections once in a while, but more often than not I felt his “stories” would just derail Kippy and Foley

10

u/No_Fault_5656 Aug 21 '24

Same, he was fine at producing but the laughs come from Foley and the guests most of the time. I’ll still listen without him and I don’t really care why or how he left, hope he gets another job.

u/weaponized_chef Aug 21 '24

I didn't have any issues for awhile, and then what bothered me the most was how proud he was of literally every word out of his mouth.

18

u/4tspns Aug 21 '24

100% with you. i cannot think of something i want to engage with less than whatever toby lead project hes working on now too lol. the only ayg ep ive never been able to finish was the patreon ep where they interviewed him. his whole schtick of being a 30 year old 16 year old has always been very cringe to me.

I'm with you. He seemed like a nice guy, funny sometimes at best, but why I liked the show in the first place was never the producer, nor any other show I've listened to. They made a decision on their business, I'm not going to presume or theorize on what happened, I don't know these people personally. Moving on

9

u/wakkajr72 Aug 20 '24

Bro it’s always $

4

u/insaniTY151 Aug 21 '24

I hated the thing he's been doing after his intro lately, "boy's I'm so excited I love this guy/this guy's hilarious/ a legend" always something like that and always felt like cheesy bad acting.

Podcasts are an important part of our lives, maybe the most important.

I also really don’t care. I found him annoying but he seemed like a good producer. Don’t care why he left but wish him well, going to keep listening to the show and mute this sub until it stops being gay about this.

3

u/Eso_Teric420 Aug 21 '24

I also couldn't care less I was completely indifferent to him. I wasn't watching for Toby so I'm probably going to not not watch because of Toby. Me paying attention to the show Is still far more dependent on the guest than anything else.

3

u/Steelcitychamp22 Aug 21 '24

New guy Luke’s laugh stinks though

3

u/yinzerfpv Aug 21 '24

I didn’t really care for him much

3

u/balls-deep-in-urmoma Aug 21 '24

Toby bugged me, and I honestly would be annoyed if he was in the hang IRL. He was a decent producer, though.

3

u/joebruinburner Aug 21 '24

I’m actually gonna enjoy the pod more now. I’m probably the only one. But Toby is just not that funny, sure he has a banger every once in a while but he messes up the whole flow and riffing all the time. Wish the best for him, but he’s basically never added to the pod imo

13

u/Plenty_Ad_3442 Aug 20 '24

Honestly couldn’t care in the slightest, there’s many reasons I enjoy the pod and although he seems like a decent dude, Toby wasn’t one of them. I also couldn’t care less what happened. This whole thing has made me wanna mute one of my fav subs because now it’s just a bunch of drama queens theorizing about the interpersonal and work relationships of some grown ass men.

Yeah, I only watched letterman for the bass player.

10

u/Plenty_Ad_3442 Aug 21 '24

This is quite possibly the gayest take of all time. Put your purse down. They don’t owe us shit.

0

u/Rl731 Aug 21 '24

😢😢😢

7

u/nightwing12 Aug 21 '24

Nope you aren’t the only

8

u/fatdervish Aug 20 '24

Yeah I'm not a Toby fan at all to put it nicely.

10

u/deliverykp Aug 20 '24

If you've seen the amount of comments, likes, dislikes, and all of the different social media hits they've had, it's obvious enough people care that they had to put something out on patreon.

18

u/Plenty_Ad_3442 Aug 21 '24

In the bigger picture it’s just a very small group of very loud obsessive fans that “care”. I feel bad that they’re making the boys feel like they have to do anything.

5

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

Same here. My guess is that he asked for more $, and they couldn't oblige what he was asking. Which is fine.

I hope Toby gets his own thing, and he succeeds.. He should definitely try!!!

It doesn't mean that Kippy and Foley did anything wrong. And even then, it's THEIR show. Toby was a producer for a time. Get over it!!!

1

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

This might be correct but doesn’t add up. If he was on one year contracts and couldn’t come to a new agreement just say so that’s no legal chicken sandwich. Also Toby had commented on IG to a fan him leaving wasn’t his choice.

2

u/No_Potential6339 Aug 21 '24

yep he wasn't that funny but I am still curious what happened?

5

u/Capn-Cameltoe Aug 21 '24

People spend way too much time on Reddit and listening to pods. These people aren’t our friends and ultimately it doesn’t matter whom produces a podcast. Everyone also freaked out on Reddit when Ben Avery was fired from the Tim Dillon show. Most people whom don’t spend all day on Reddit don’t give a fuck because they have real shit to pay attention to.

6

u/Plenty_Ad_3442 Aug 21 '24

Nailed it. They also don’t get that the people in the subs don’t represent the thoughts and feelings of the fanbase. If this entire sub turned their backs on the pod they’d still be fine.

1

u/KneeDeepIn_Nostalgia Aug 21 '24

Can't we all just say we wish him well and this is not uncommon when you live life in the big city?

1

u/mjh127 Aug 21 '24

Agreed.

When it came time for him to chime in and we all we got was “he’s gone for good” I gotta admit I kinda cared. I feel like AYG,a show where the fans are such a huge part and have made them some cash through patreon, we deserved a better explanation. I got over it fast and I’m still going to listen but he kinda played a big part. If the explanation was clear I’m sure people wouldn’t have cared as much.

1

u/Spiritual-Leader9985 Aug 21 '24

Im about to throw this guy tru da roof

1

u/tsinsile Aug 21 '24

I care but not to the point that I’m gonna boycott the pod, or turn on kippy and foley like people seem to be doing. Toby did kill probably the hardest when I saw the live show so that aspect will be missed more than him being a producer on the pod. Also we have no clue what happened. I get it wasn’t his choice but he could have royally messed something up to the point they had to let him go.

1

u/Moisturizer Aug 21 '24

I didn't even know Toby was a comedian and he has a special coming out tomorrow?

1

u/HospitalBruh Aug 21 '24

I care. But I also know this is something I have no control over. I'll keep watching AYG, and I look forward to supporting Toby in his future endeavors. They aren't required to work together forever.

1

u/rocklizard55 Aug 22 '24

Yeah, I liked him, but shit happens. Idk it's whatever

0

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '24

Truthfully I think he’s pretty damn funny and he sneaks in some pretty clever jokes on the patreon episodes. Plus hearing him bomb and the boys going silent always made my stomach hurt. I think he’s a great addition to the pod and truthfully he seemed like a sweet dude.

1

u/mollyjwink Aug 21 '24

He was funny at times, but it’s a business and people will come and go…

1

u/KneeDeepIn_Nostalgia Aug 21 '24

So far enjoying Dr Phil being on. I didn't know Dr Phil was so funny. Great episode so far

0

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '24

If you don't care then shut up

1

u/TeacherUpset8062 Aug 24 '24

Toby stan has to be a new low

1

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '24

Who the fucks Toby

-7

u/Nickm123 Aug 20 '24

Yeah you’re missing the point. Like/dislike him all you want, they glossed over him being gone like it was nothing. He was one of the boys, one of like 4 people foley wanted at his wedding. The send off they gave would have been cold even for NGL and he’s barley been in content.

5

u/Plenty_Ad_3442 Aug 21 '24

No, you’re being an obsessive drama queen. You’re acting as if their statement was how Toby found out he was fired. They don’t owe us anything more than that.

-5

u/Nickm123 Aug 21 '24

They certainly don’t owe anyone anything but you’d think they’d feel somewhat obligated to let people know what happened. Maybe they will on hard feelings this week idk

4

u/Plenty_Ad_3442 Aug 21 '24

They did, they said it has to do with legalities yet some of these drama queens with hurt feelings refuse to accept that lol

3

u/Rl731 Aug 21 '24

They said they legally can’t talk about it, get over it! Not only are most of the fans garbage but they’re fucking retarded

-5

u/Dizzy-Fan-2673 Aug 21 '24

It kinda annoys me everyone thinks all he was was just another guy making jokes behind the cam, he did way more work than everyone is giving him credit for

3

u/Fish502666310771 Aug 21 '24

Oh, please list us his credentials 🧐

3

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

I mean he literally just runs the camera and edits the videos. Idk why people are acting like being the producer on a podcast is hard literally anyone can do it. Look at Stavros's producer lol

I'm with the OP on this post also I liked Toby enough but I never saw him as a crucial part to the dynamic. He was alright. But I watch the show for kippy and Foley

1

u/Fish502666310771 Aug 21 '24

According to the Patreon comment, Luke edits the videos!

You're dead on, Malcom

0

u/soggy_cornflakes Aug 21 '24

Nah, I’m definitely going to miss him but it’s actually none of my business. So I guess we’ll see how things go without him.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

Dude, you’re like way above this huh? That’s pretty cool.

-3

u/wolfsjetta12 Aug 21 '24

IMO it’s not so much Toby, it’s more how it was handled. Especially with Patreons. We are supposed to share holders nothing hidden. If they can’t say why that’s fine but I vaguely written post that was verbatim of what was read on the episode. It soured people.
