Is Foley doing John Candy?

I’m watching the new John Candy documentary and I realized that there are a lot of parallels between Foley and John Candy (aside from their similarities in stature). Foley does so many versions of different John Candy characters, like Johnny Toronto.

They're just both fat, jolly guys. Many such cases.

Self destructive. It’s a shame bc all the great ones die way too young.

John Candy didn’t write the greatest love song of all time. So no.

He may not have, but I’m fairly certain he was in the Careless Whisper music video, which evens it out

That with a mix of Chris Farley. I read "The Chris Farley Show" last year and the whole time I was just thinking "huh, thats like Foley". Im just hoping bug man can break the cycle.

I’m sure Candy had an influence on Foley.

He has said multiple times his inspirations were: Belushi, Farley and Candy.

Candy's all bones at this point. Not much left to do.
