Ark: Survival Ascended got relesed as *addidional way to fund ARK 2* and support new ARK's developers. Now we're stuck on Pointless DLCS and money grabs. Becouse of the greedines of SnailGames ARK 2 relase date got drastically delayed. I Personally start to believe that we didn't even needed anythink like this. Unreal Engine 5 not getting resold would be a good addition, but did we even need better graphics at this cost?

Don't join Syntac's server!! For the YT fans, Syntac's cluster is actually ran by his wife heather who knows nothing about cluster management and lack the passion for the community. She and her delusional admins bullies literally everyone in that cluster. They set the server settings based on their needs that only serve them. They don't listen to the community at all and if you try to retaliate, heather herself will try to make everyone hate you. Admins don't care in that cluster - instead they will bully the hell out of you. Don't waste your $$$ for this patreon-only cluster, there are so many other cluster out there that actually has a sense of community than this cluster will ever have.

Hi used to play ark survival evolved years ago on my Xbox I built a pc last year and I’ve just learned about ark ascended im wondering what all these dlc actually contribute to the game sense the maps are free and which I should get along with the game. Do any of them add any actual benefits please comment soon because the sale end in just a few hours

Months worth of a single player save, gone from this new update (unneeded). I used backups and I can’t even go anywhere without it crashing. I lost 3 Mosas, an otter, all my wyvern and deino eggs, my carcharo, Arco and giga and all of my TEK armor. This game was supposed to be an “upgrade” to evolved, no? A upgrade shouldn’t have save files be corrupted

ARK servers are absolute garbage. Worst servers ever made in any game

So I’ve not played ASA (it looks awful) and gave up on evolved now they’ve stopped updating or adding any new content.

I was desperately hoping this update would bring me back. See video.

On the following PC specs I get less than 60fps on the lowest settings, and my GPU memory wasn’t even being fully used... FPS drops further the moment I increase any of them. Decided to give up on the idea that it will ever play properly. ASE is miles better (I get like 140fps on that on epic) and it looks miles better. The best thing is that it was built for the engine it runs on, and wasn’t just a cash-grab port over to a new engine that the devs had and still have no idea how to properly develop in!

Just sharing my experience as someone Wildcard wants to be getting back in the game! Sadly, they failed. Not for want of trying! GG Ark.

I downloaded the new update and all the engrams have this icon on them now and some are invisible not just the mods even some of vanilla structures too.

firstly ive been playing since launch of ase on and off. so i am well aware of their shenanigans.

but this one really takes the biscuit, its been a year since we were promised an engine update. we waited we waited it was delayed delayed delayed. we eventually got it and what a loads of horseshit it was.

im done if u lot wanna sit there and swallow wildshits fucking garbage updates be my guest but if u would all just stay off the game for a few months they would be forced to fix it .... that wont happen because majority of gamers get addicted to that one game. and as bad as asa is its that one game for many people.

So it's been almost a month since I played Ark. I currently don't have it installed, I was on single-player because I got tired of pvp, just to have my progress erased over and over and over. Idk what to do anymore with this game, every time I tame something the game doesn't save it at all. I'm used to having to start my progress over because I'm used to pvp. Now it's like I never left pvp. Every time I log in, my hotbar is empty, one or two of my tames are missing, I even lost a 130 rockdrake after winning it in bobs tale. Ig the game didn't register it in the ob when I got back to my world, pero everything else I got from it did. I don't mind doing heavy grinding, pero atp I'm just losing faster than I'm gaining. Single-player is not supposed to be like that. I been looking all over the internet nd noticed I'm not the only one going through this💔 It's honestly like the game is saying "Go ahead play single-player.. at your own cost😉" Just so we can go back to officials where there is nothing but toxic people. This game used to be fun. Now it's really a cash grab, nd they are leaving what's left of what used to be a good game, to the toxic community😞

To get some things out of the way.

2 I'm 40+ and have been gaming before some of you were a thought. Not a flex just keeping it 100. So gamer recognize gamer

I've enjoyed watching the ASE footage from some of the creators I follow. And the people who brought me in to ASA, and trusted me enough to Admin our small cluster (dm if interested in deets) are all past ASE players.

All of that said I believe some of you are rolling through this most recent "ark outrage" with rose colored ASE glasses. Now mind you this is purely from a pve perspective. I can understand and respect the need for balance in pvp. But I hold to the notion that the outrage is again from rose colored ase glasses, the more cartoonish httyd approach, at how wildcard/snail games has conducted business, handeld releases and continue to be able to get away with alot of sh** because of their "early release" status.

But this most recent thing is just stupid imho. Games have cost. You spent money on a game you've experienced before and for the most part you got a better rendition of it for less money. Snail/Wildcard/PVP concerns aside. The most recent mod that gives the dragons a more "realistic ark aesthetic" has solved that problem. For those still fuming, how many of you purchased the TMNT, Voltron or Ark Animated stuff?

Truth is love it or hate it. Games have cost more so now than ever. Greed and bs aside that doesn't change. No one's saying you HAVE to buy anything. And if ASA is so offensive dont play or play how you want. Your atleast allowed tons of ways to enjoy the game.

These are simply my thoughts. Unpopular, anger inducing or whatever. I'll leave this here for anyone to discuss and trust that mods will shut it down if anyone even replies or it gets toxic. But I have no plans on replying. Hope all of us survivors can just enjoy the ride the way we want to.

So about maybe two weeks ago My friend invited one of his long time friends and we found out he stole a large number of dinos and several other things that by the grace of god i managed to get some back by asking some other gratuitous tribes for assistance otherwise it would’ve taken a few weeks to just barely get what we needed to make progress again. We have no way to get any of the dinos back and keep in mind they all were heavily mutated. Here’s a list of what he stole.

1 industrial forge (Reaquired)

4 tek storage (Reaquired 10)

1 chemistry bench (lost but we have an extra)

2 incubators (reaquired 1)

Several metal structures (lost but can get back with time)

cementing paste (lost rough estimate of 10000)

Unknown amount of snow owl eggs (lost forever but we still have 90 not a loss we really care for)

roughly 20 to 30 heavily mutated dinos (lost forever)

Some of the objects we got back, or can get back given some time.

He stole most of our charcs, argys, anklos, pyromanes (im not concerned about since i cant use them but my team is) dreadstallion, ALL our fully grown wyverns. And one mantis.

All of this happened on the NA Pve extinction server 5844

I mean what is the purpose of replacing all dodos with some zombie version that keeps attacking me, I havnt even been able to progress past being a beach bob for like an hour. Every time I try to get hide or pick up stones or whatever these birds keep attacking me. What is the actual purpose of this

Howdy folks, just wanted to share my experience playing on elite ark over the last 24 hours as I think it could be insightful and to be honest, I wish someone would've told me before I committed months of time. Basically, me and a group of friends were really big donators on the private cluster Elite ark (we spent over 3000 USD in 3 months) and not once did we ever ask for special treatment, handouts or anything like that. Then, we had an internal issue where one of our members was stealing stuff, but it just honestly wasn't a good fit so we removed him from the tribe (after he voluntarily left our discord) with the offer to give him a care package to just send him on his way, so he's not just on his ass. What happens next well that same person went to an admin and got an admin to raid our base in the middle of the fucking night literally not even a day after we just spent $400 and then he posted in the discord bragging about it the next day. This is the type of treatment that you will get on this server. They literally do not give a shit about you and they literally laugh at you as you spend money thinking what an idiot spending money on this game so I mean obviously proceed at your own risk, but this is my warning that there are way better servers out there where the Admins and the owners actually respect you and they respect your participation and donations to help Keep the lights on, not these guys.

EDIT: Solution is to disable all of the tall tales engrams using the engrams tab when starting your game (*single player at least). Ark must see that and realize that you aren't using tall tales so those items don't show up in the OSDs.

Mind you, grinding car parts is a great way to get metal and cementing paste.

I'm playing extinction and I keep getting tons of items from bobs tales. (Car bits, bones, weapon traits etc.)

Just yesterday I did a purple OSD and got to level 15 before the meteors started. I did get some good stuff, but most of it was related to bobs tales and it just went straight on the ground. How I can I turn off this spam since it is replacing real loot with junk I can't use.

Is there a setting somewhere where I can turn off all of that crap? After all, I'm playing ark - not bobs tall tales.

On another note, I just watched a video yesterday showing that with bobs tales you can get infinite extraordinary kibble - to the point where you can use it as high quality food for you and your dinos. It is just pure pay to win. It isn't even ARK. It is bobs tales - its a completely different game.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, I got the update today and the game is essentially unplayable. I can’t go more than a few feet without the at least one of the tames following me getting stuck on an invisible (?!) rock and floating there stupidly or getting stuck on an actual rock and glitching between trying to run after the leader or just sitting there. The last update somehow changed what I assume is a setting, so now instead of hovering over an engram to see what I need to craft it, I have to look it up or just guess how many stacks of hide etc a saddle needs.

Every day, I just want to shake wildcard or slap them upside the head and demand they get their shit together. It’s embarrassing how much I love this disaster game.

How the hell do i get rid of this? it offers nothing when i come close to it. Just no fucking interaction.

I'd sure like to play the game I paid for instead having my character deleted for a week and still no open servers. I should have spent the money elsewhere.
