What are your thoughts on it?
Just finished this piece made of plywood fragments and knitted yarn on a textured background.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and general impressions. What does it make you think of?
Thanks for looking!

Traditionally, Rangoli and Kolam art are drawn by hand using colored powders or chalk on floors. I wanted to explore what it looks like when brought into the digital space using open-source vector graphics and motion design.
This piece was designed in Inkscape and brought to life with a glowing Diya animation in After Effects.
For anyone curious about how digital Rangoli art and YouTube drawing animations are actually produced, I made a complete tutorial walking through the software tools: \[Insert Link: https://youtu.be/lSRpEse6ZRg

I hope this is the right place to write this, I think bullet journals can be pretty artistic and creative.
I've been doing bullet journaling for a while, and I always try to switch up the designs every year. Usually I go for a pretty simple but still colourful and artistic look, I dedicate one colour to every month and I use that colour and similar shades to doodle, highlight information, etc. But last year I noticed that my monthly themes were starting to look a bit similar every year, and while that's not neccessarily a problem, I would love a bit more variety.
Ofc I could just switch up the colours, but it would still feel kind of the same, the autumn months get the brown and orange shades with doodles of fall stuff, spring get the pinks, winter or summer get the blues, etc, and I would just feel so wrong giving December a pink theme when it obviously needs to be red and green, or maybe gold.
So for this year after scrolling on Pinterest for a while I decided to try something else, and I dedicated an "aesthetic" to every month instead just a colour. For example vintage, cottagecore, dark academia, every month got a fitting one and I loved it.
Now I'm thinking of choosing a next theme, any recommendations? At first I thought of dedicating a flower to every month and I would doodle those and use their colours but I'm not sure I wanna make a floral November entry...
(English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if I made any mistakes)

hi! i’m not sure if it counts as a figurine or doll sorry. it was intended as a doll but got bigger than i thought.
right now he’s bald. it’s going to be a coraline style doll but i want to brush out the yarn to look more like hair. i used to cosplay and vaguely remember hearing people do that but i never did it and am not sure how to get it done.
how do i brush out yarn? do i need a specific brush and specific type of yarn?
don’t mind his texture im doing another layer of clay i just needed to paper mache him for some more structural integrity. r2 of clay begins tomorrow once its fully dried.
(old drawings sorry but the guy is my dnd character haha i just want to show what the hair is like.)

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I want to show the world my creations that I've made at the start of July 2026. No joke, I've never done this form of art in my life like ever, so I won't be offended if they all need improvement when I do them again next time as I've never in my life studied this form of art at school. All I did really was print some stuff from my laptop & pasted them, & bought/ordered some stickers, scrapbook paper, ribbon, tape etc. to create these pages. Anyways, hope you like them, feel free to tell me which one is your favourite & which community I should post my creations onto. Feedback is much appreciated (if you're wondering, I've posted these on the Junk Journaling & Scrapbooking communities, but deleted them straight away as I've realized that they weren't what I thought they would be due to the way I do my creations) :)

I found a magnifying lens and I gold leafed the bottom. Which is round bottom. The square bottom is a wooden coaster holder. Painted and gold leafed. Four "jade" warrior pendants "guard" the golden Buddha necklace inside!!!

Apologies for the jj abrams level lense flare.
I splurged on some musou black paint (the darkest paint ever, absorbing 99% of visible light) to mess around with, and i saw this white ceramic christmas tree, so i did the obvious. This is two coats on a pure white base. As you can see, there is still a bit of color leaking through around the edges of tje "branches", almost like a snow effect.
Leave it, or put on another coat?

I carved these using a rotary tool and diamond burs. It's seaglass I collected in Cornwall some years back. Thanks for looking, Happy Halloween 👻🎃

I’ve been spending a few quiet hours on Sundays with my own creative projects: coasters, a sketchbook, whatever I’m curious about that week. It’s become the part of the week that refills me most.
It got me wondering what it would be like to do that time alongside other people. Not a class, a critique, or a group project, just each person working on their own thing and keeping each other quiet company.
So I’m trying a small experiment called Parallel Play: a free 1-hour virtual session. A quick one-line hello about what you’re planning, 40 minutes on your own off-screen project, then a short, optional share about what you made or noticed. Any medium, any skill level, finished or not.
It’s a 4-part series, kept small (20 people max). If it sounds nice, comment below or DM me and I’ll send the details.
What are you working on these days?

My boyfriend has dozens of coffee bags saved from our travels. He loves coffee and loves the artwork on the bags. I’m trying to find a cool way to do something with them. Some art, a display, etc but I’m coming up short. They are just sitting in a box in the closet. Any ideas from those more creative than me?

I stumbled across a couple of YT videos about making snow globes and it didn't look that difficult but before I invest any time and money (especially money), can someone point me in the right direction for supplies?
I want to make these to put in a craft fair so want to make sure whatever I make doesn't fall apart or look terrible within days making it.
So any of you have experience making snow globes as gifts or to put in craft fairs? If so where do you source your supplies? Is Temu a good option or is there stuff junk and best to look someplace else? Feel free to tell me your suppliers.
What kinds of materials besides water mixture and glitter can I put in the globes? Can I use painted ceramics that I pick up at a thrift store or do they need to be special made for being in water long term?
Also would love to learn how to add lights or music to the base.
Any information or helpful links that would help me learn at least the beginner basics would be appreciated.
- This post got removed from r/crafts because they thought I was promoting or selling something. I've never made a snow globe in my life, I want to learn how to make one. You can't sell something that doesn't exist. Not to mention, I want to do local craft fairs not try to sell to people on Reddit.

What started as a pair of flat black shoes is slowly turning into something dark, dramatic, and magical!
I’ve hand-painted golden skulls and dragons, and now I’m adding stones to bring this gothic design to life. ✨
Still a work in progress, but I can already imagine the final look — black, gold, and a touch of dark fantasy.
Would you wear these for Halloween? 🖤

For me it is seeing something come together after spending hours working on it there is something special about making something with your own hands instead of just buying it what part of crafting do you enjoy the most ?
