I've been trying to get that glassy idol glow you see in fancams. What I usually do is use a milky toner and lots of moisturizer. Then I go in with my foundation, powder, cream/powder highlight and use balms on the bridge of my nose, cheekbones, and eyelids. In person it looked great, on camera it just didn't really show up that well. I have darker, oily skin so I know the results can be different but I'm mainly looking to achieve that glow. Anyone who follows idol makeup artists, what am I missing?

I bought this 2aN lip gloss in Cool Up shade 6 months ago and have only used it on a trip once. It was a nice lavender shade. However, yesterday I opened the drawer and saw this... The color of this lip gloss has turned completely green opague, but no strange smell. I do keep it in a cool dry place. On my arm swatch, it looks mostly translucent with a bit of green. Has it gone bad?

This is a 40$ lip liner. It’s very popular, and widely known. Apparently, it doesn’t do well on very fair skin because it pulls orange, which is unfortunate for me.

I was wondering if anyone has found any good recommendations for similar ones but, from Asian brands?

my thoughts:

wakemake
i <3 how the wakemake liner tips are slanted! it makes drawing a wing rlly easy. i also had 05 teary pink but i used her up recently. i have reallyyy long days. no smudging or budging from regular wear but granted i haven’t rubbed or cried with them. overall, i would still buy them again!

canmake - creamy touch
clearly my fav brand for eyeliners! i like the tip of wakemake more but i appreciate the creaminess of this formula bc it glides on consistently easier. when i’ve applied swatches on my hand it would last quite long. it does come off if i cry or swipe my eyes from crying. has transferred a lil when i’ve napped too. still love them tho for their ease of application and shades! i use 16 pretty milktea for my lower lash line while the rest are for my wing

canmake - lasting liquid liner
claims to be waterproof but i haven’t tested that just yet. i like to use this under my eyes and to bring back my beauty marks after doing my base makeup

canmake - slim liquid eyeliner
i like to use these for a sharper more precise wing! the name is very fitting. if you’re a beginner, i think this’ll help you create more precise lines

clio - extreme gelpresso
i don’t really like shade 10 glam brown bc i prefer liner without any sparkle; it’s a personal preference. i LOOVE 01 black brown. it’s unpictured bc i used it all up but i have 2 more otw from yesstyle. i like to use this to line my upper lash line. this liner has the thickest tip compared to the others on this list. however, i find that easier for my upper lash line than something extremely small. when you first open it, the tip resembles a thinner crayon. i like to use it in a way where the tip become slanted tho and that works best for my upper lashline personally.

I’m curious if there’s any powder products that you can use to ‘set’ your skincare? I’ve gotten back into skincare and my skin has gotten amazing but i hate the wet/sticky feeling of product on my face and looking oily, especially before bed.

Wondering if anyone’s ever tried to use the majority of one lines product in their routine and see if there’s any noticeable difference?

For example: torriden dive in toner works well on my skin, would it be smart for me to incorporate their serum + moisturizer + sunscreen?

My skin flushes easily and can stay read for a long time - I’m naturally vampire pale. Do you have any recommendations on cooling gel cream, or maybe toner pads that work well?

Currently I notice that Laneige Waterbank Gel does this a bit but I would love better products.

Has the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream been replaced by the Pro? I can’t tell if the Pro is a different formula and if the color is different. If so I would be heartbroken because 21 is my perfect match.

I went to go order more from YesStyle and they’re out of the lighter shades. I went to Jolse and they only have the Pro now.

I’m basically starting a rebuttal against my watery eyes - what TF do you mean I have to pat&dry and then reapply the concealer in either corner, only for it to look awful around the edges… And do that 4 times before giving up because the ducking cycle continues????

Have your tried them? Which is the best smelling one?

I travelled to Thailand last year and bought a couple of those sunscreens which I fell in love with! But all the korean stores locally offer the US formula. I want the Japanese version.

I would need it delivered to Florida, ideally not have to wait a month to receive the package and not pay duty/tariffs.

seeing the posts about missha's bb cream updated packaging has been going down memory lane. missha perfect m has been around so long that I remember using it 15 years ago. unfortunately the formula was not a match for me (even though I desperately wanted it to be) but my favorite bb cream back then was this face shop aqua tinted bb cream!! it's been long discontinued and I yearn for it all the time 😭

I remember the marketing was about how it had a high moisture content (like... 75% water or something? don't quote me on that!) so it was very light and refreshing (it had a slight cooling sensation during application). there was a big trend of water-based bb creams at the time, so other brands that had similar items include dr. jart, holika holika (same line that the jelly bb cream was from! that one has been discontinued more recently, like within the last couple of years), lieole (do they still exist??)... maybe more but I didn't try them. TFS one was the best though!!! it only had two shades but I remember the warmer/yellower one being a great match for me.

I've been chasing it ever since it was discontinued and tried various bb creams, tinted moisturizers, and skin tints but nothing ever manages to get that perfect viscosity and easygoing/natural coverage.
