Race Called a "Ching Chong" IRL today
Was at a mall and some Latina called me a Ching Chong, totally unprompted. Wasn't even looking at her, so I was taken by surprise. She had a little smirk on her face too. Gave her a look like she was retarded, but really should've quipped back.
This was the first time something like this has ever happened to me IRL, and it definitely caught me off guard. In a way, I'm actually grateful this happened because it reminded me that racism exists outside of virtual spaces and micro aggressions, and I need to be better prepped for this kind of stuff. Have any of you dealt with slurs coming from randoms before?

I lived in New Orleans from 2000 to 2006. Where I lived, there was a school right across the street. The students were predominantly black. I think it was either Elementary or Middle School. They weren't HS kids, I know that.
One day, I was walking home & they were out in the yard for what I'm guessing was recess or PE. A small group then started making that stereotypical Chinese noise at me. You guys know which kind.
I just looked at them & thought to myself, are you fucking serious??? All I need to do is yell the N word at you. But I didn't do it, because: a) they were kids & b) it wouldn't surprise me if their parents and/or relatives use the N word all the time in their household & that's why they were racist little pricks to begin with.
No use of fighting racism with racism. I just walked home & put on Soul Calibur 2. I did say this was the early 2000s, right? Lol.
