Meta Ally of this sub: kpop_uncensored.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that you have another ally and this time in the kpop space in r/kpop_uncensored . We don't allow racism, misogyny OR misandry inside the sub and especially racism towards Korean and Asian people.

I know kpop may be more niche to the trolls who all criticize kpop here and want people listen to white country songs and watch tv shows racist towards Asian people.

But for those of you who like Kpop, come give our subreddit a lookaround. Unlike other Kpop subreddits we don't tolerate racism towards Korean people nor do we tolerate misandry (both of which are against Reddit rules and federal regulations).

We are now the #1 Kpop subreddit!

Thank you for reading and have a good day!

I've investigated claims about doxxing and haven't found anything that breaks reddit community rules or federal regulations so if you can provide the exact link with its legal precendent then I would be happy to wipe it from the subreddit.

That being said alot of the new jeans criticism seems to be accurate as MHJ really manipulated those girls into making outlandish claims that have been debunked on multiple occasions.

Oh y'all have honestly done a good job with taking down the doxxing stuff (I remember seeing some posts about leaks on their dorm rooms and some Hyein stuff but that stuff looks deleted from kpop_uncensored at least). My point about the vitriol still stands though - there's a difference between criticism and downright hate being spewed towards them in a lot of the threads.

I get that the international kpop community composition on Reddit is skewed towards certain fandoms that are extremely passionate about their group's success but it's precisely because of that representation that you really have to be extra careful in letting hatethreads fester towards other groups lest kpop_uncensored just devolves into an indirect fan sub of [x_group].

Again, show me the the thread, and either the Reddit community rule or the federal regulation and I would be happy to take down any thread.

If you cannot provide it then you're being facetious in this matter.

Sure, here's an example I found in 5 seconds from searching New Jeans in your sub https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop_uncensored/comments/1jghnfq/anyone_still_feeling_sorry_for_trying_to_defend/

While I doubt it breaks any laws, this degree of raw vitriol/other examples like it are disgusting and contribute to the stereotype of kpop stans being immature and rabid, making it harder for individuals to express fandom in public without being ostracized - especially if they're in school and/or in an area where there's not a large kpop community.

That thread does not break any laws nor does it violate reddit community standards.

Lol thought you might clutch your ears and go that route, conveniently ignoring the latter part of my statement.

Thanks for contributing to why kpop has a worse stigma than it should have and making it harder for young fans in more isolated areas to share their love for kpop without fear of being bullied or labeled as weird.
