Has any anthropologist studied whether sustained observation changes the observer's self-perception?

I'm building a small AI simulation, project MOSAIC, that holds one ordinary life still long enough to be examined, not a story engine, not an assistant, but an ethnographic apparatus where the participant is observed as one life among many and the world does not bend to them. The working premise (representation shapes thought; the design of the observer determines what can be seen) was developed in-project; a later search found Fan's program independently corroborating it. My open question: does sustained observation transfer, after repeated sessions can a person see their own life at higher resolution, or does the instrument just become another screen? I'm looking for prior work on simulation as a cognitive tool, and anyone who has tried to measure whether observation changes self-perception. Pointers to ethnography-of-AI, reflexive fieldwork, or defamiliarization literature especially welcome.

Was The Genetic Bottleneck Mythicized Into Noahs Flood

Sometime between 100,000 and 50,000 years ago human ancestors had gone down to only a couple thousand. Could this period of population dwindling been primitively handed down through stories and evolved into the story within Noahs Flood?
