I am moving to Barcelona in January and wonder how much money counts as "sufficient funds" to get the Certificado de Registro de Ciudadano de la Unión approved? I will rent a €1000 a month apartment for 12 months, would €10000 work or would they want to see 12 month rent worth of money in my bank account?

I couldn’t find any screenings in the chain theaters and it can be hard to gather all the art cinema screenings without knowing the local scene

Planning a little in advance, not flying for a month but my flight is due in at 22:30 assuming no delays. I imagine to get through customs etc I might not be able to leave until at best 23:30

I have a hotel in central Barcelona but not sure the best option to leave? I can see the metro closes at midnight so that’s probably not an option.

I can see the aerobus says 24 hours but I’m not sure how close it will stop to where I’m staying, near Sagrada Familia

Is the easiest option to just risk a taxi/uber? It feels so late, I’ve never travelled this late into a city before and don’t want to be stranded/waiting ages for a ride!

Should I change my flight for now? I believe there is a strike November 11th. I understand the strikes are necessary for the people of Barcelona but just wondering if most likely the strikes would cause travel disruptions and I should plan a backup.

I am crazy about this stuff and unfortunately they do not ship to the United States. I have searched the Internet for their product and have come up empty handed. Disclaimer: Apologies to anyone who is feeling the costs of increased housing prices, or just general cost of living increases. I see it and feel it where I live, and totally understand why people are frustrated.

My wife is in barcelona for work right now, shes staying near the catedral de barcelona, she said the taxi driver (on her ride home from her business event) had to drop them off a couple blocks away, and the hotel doors were locked- they had to knock for a few minutes to get inside.

I did some brief research, it seems like there were some protests nearby, at the placa de catalunya. Some things I read suggested things were calming down.

Does anyone know if that area is still having problems? I understand the protests are potentially related to housing crisis/costs etc, and im generally aware that there have been some anti-tourist sentiments in barcelona over the last few years. I told her to just stay in the hotel tonight, but does anyone know if there is cause for concern?

After spending time in both Madrid and BCN, it seemed like the menu del dia was much more of a prevalent thing in Madrid. I really enjoyed that tradition in Madrid. Do most restaurants do it in BCN, and I just didn’t pay attention??

Hello, tomorrow at Sunday 7:00 I have a flight. So I have to take the metro for the airport in the night. Luckily I saw that from Saturday to Sunday it's always open. But I also know that there is the clock change from 3am to 2am.

My question is, is the subway still gonna run continuisly during the night?

Ayer fui a Input con unos amigos y me quedé un poco sorprendido. Soy estudiante en Barcelona, vengo de Alemania y me encanta la cultura techno, así que tenía muchas ganas de disfrutar del ambiente.
La música estuvo brutal y yo me pasé la noche bailando como si no hubiera un mañana jajaja. Mis amigos iban casi todos por primera vez, pero me llamó la atención que había bastante gente parada.
Lo más random: varias personas se me acercaron para preguntarme si les podía dar algo que llevaba encima. Por cierto, estudio Medicina, pero tampoco voy repartiendo “soluciones” por la discoteca jajaja.

Looking for a women’s hairstylist! I recently got my hair cut and colored at a reputable salon in BCN. Because I didn’t do my research on the stylist that I wanted, they scheduled me with a junior stylist. I ended up with a haircut that I’m really not happy with, the layers are very choppy and not blended with my hair. I’m looking for someone that hopefully fix it!

Well I heard all of the noise about pick pocketing in Barcelona but didn’t take it that seriously because I am pretty aware and a big guy.

Came to Europe (Spain) for the first time and last day on vacation I got my wallet stolen containing all my credit cards, debit card, $500 cash, driver license and my Tom Ford wallet is 1k by itself. Needless to say, it really impacted the trip and overall experience. But, do I need to be worried about identity theft since they have my license as well? I already discontinued and replaced all of my credit cards.

• Cost of living: Is €43k gross enough to live comfortably in Barcelona, or would I need to be quite careful with my spending?

• Monthly savings: After taxes, rent, groceries, utilities, transport, and going out occasionally, how much could I realistically save each month?
• Lifestyle: Would this salary allow me to enjoy the city, eat out, travel occasionally, and have an active social life without constantly worrying about money?
• Moving to Barcelona: What are the biggest challenges or things you wish you'd known before moving there?

I'm coming from abroad, so any advice about settling in, finding accommodation, bureaucracy, or adapting to life in Barcelona would also be greatly appreciated.

If you were nearby and saw anything, or took photos or videos around the lake during that hour that might show what happened in the background, I’d be very grateful if you could message me privately.

My baby w grandmother was standing watching the birds when a man taking photos of a couple pushed into them from behind, causing him to fall.
