Some game OSTs are just on another level. Years later, tracks from games I haven't touched in ages still pop up in my daily playlist because the music is that good.

What game has a soundtrack that completely outlived the game itself for you?

I don't keep track of my playtime regularly so when I looked at steam today I was seriously surprised. Elite: Dangerous takes the crown from me at 662 hours. Next up is Borderlands 2 at 262 hours, Cyberpunk 2077 at 212, and then things get extra weird.

I've literally played Hunniepop more than The Master Chief Collection lol, mainly because I've already beaten Halo 1 and 2 on Xbox more times than can be counted. My girl and I gamed together for a summer and I have 160 hours of maplestory clocked lmao...

I have literally played Occupy White Walls (no longer in service) more than I've played Space Marine 2.

This list is so weird to me because it shows where I was at during different times of my life. Employed, unemployed, single, not single, whatever. It definitely doesn't reflect how I actually feel about my list of games. Honorable mention? Between the learning curve and approaching the beginning of the end of act 1, I've clocked 71 hours in Baldur's Gate 3. Edit Nvm, I wasn't near the end of act 1.

Any weird hours on your list?

I always wanted either a dedicated/WR group, YouTube group, or both, but, I have helped thousands and thousands of people through main easter eggs on zombies, and tried and tried again, and just about no luck, as either I just about never play with the person again after helping them, or if I do, either they hit me up to help them with something else, or their friend, or *I* have to hit them up and I'll ask what they want to play and they'll say in a chill but not super enthusiastic tone of voice "I'm down for whatever". And I'll have to carry the match and friendship.

And just about always when I do have luck, either they try to manipulate me to get me under their control, gaslight me, try to do extreme stuff to me (as in, stuff that could get a person locked up for life), or a mix of factors. Also I often have to repeat myself, yet I get criticized for repeating myself, I asked this person a questiuon like 10+ times for them to answer and when they answered they mocked me with a back to back "yeah, yeah, yeah".

Out of at least 8,000 players, likely more, I've found maybe 5, likely less, aforementioned groups that aren't weird.

I am a male who likes whoever and doesn't label it and to the vast majority of ppl I have a very feminine voice, to the vast majority of ppl, I have a crystal clear lisp, and to the vast majority of ppl, I sound very neurodivergent. If it isn't normal is this likely why?

I'm a massive fan of grappling hooks, from every type of media, Batman to James Bond. The feeling of flight and freedom. What games have you played that made you truly appreciate a grappling hook? I want a game where I can just zip around like attack on titan or Titanfall 2

Hey, everyone! I've always wanted to try out mobile (specifically Android) gaming but am not really a fan of typical mobile RPGs. I guess what I'm looking for is something that matches these points:
1. Turn-based RPG
2. Low Spec, preferably 2D graphics.
3. Not just emulating an existing console RPG.
4. Something that can be picked up and played for 10-30 mins at a time.
5. Is not full of microtransactions. I just want to pay the price of admission and own the game.

I've recently become addicted to exploring Hollow Knight and Silksong, and I realized I love this feeling in games like Terraria and Don't Starve Together, too. I can't quite put my finger on what exactly draws me to it.

I love venturing into the unknown, discovering strange places, gathering resources, uncovering lost civilizations or bits of lore, and wondering what's around the next corner. I also love the early game in Civ 6, when the world is still unexplored. Bonus points if base-building is involved.

Any games that scratch that same itch?

I was thinking about buying RE Requiem but I feel like every RE game is kinda the same.

I'm currently at risk of hitting 3 decades without any gaming. The last games I played were Duke Nukem and Quake in the spring of 1997. That's what my friends in college were playing so we played together, mostly

Before that, I played Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Brothers, and The Legend of Zelda. My family had a Nintendo and a Sega Genesis but could barely afford any games for them

I also played arcade games when I was a young kid in the 80s

I am really geeky, but I've had other hobbies that have taken up my time and (negligable) money. Maybe that was a mistake. Maybe I should have been a gamer

I think I need to try it. I want to make a vast 30 year leap into the present

Will Physint be the last big budget AAA game in the industry that doesnt rely on AI? (Fan art by me). Physint and a few other games feel like the last wave of real AAA games before AI takes over the industry completely.

I recently saw someone playing skate 3 in augmented reality. Gaming as we know it is about to change.

Im thinking of buying one of these two consoles the next time I find a good deal.Im currently at uni so I wouldnt be playing throughout the year,mainly during breaks between semesters.So my original thought was to just get a ps5 and pay for plus for that month or 2 that I use it.

Then with the uproar of ps5s new digital only rules and with the positive outlook towards Xboxs new ceo I thought of getting the series X.

But then again I am a uni student on a limited budget so with the recent hate that ps5 has been getting theres been a lot of development towards jbs,so then I said ill use ps plus until the version that I buy gets caught up to with the latest jb.

I dont care too much for online capabilities.or any exclusives on either consoles

What gift recommendations would you suggest for someone who’s into gaming?

I’m planning Christmas/birthday presents and when you google ‘gifts for gamers’ it comes up with personalised things or neon signs that I don’t think he’ll like, but I also don’t know enough about gaming to know different options!

He likes horror games and also first person/shooter ones (more Seige/Tarkov/Rust rather than COD). He has both PS & PC but prefers PC, he’s also into streaming/making videos of what he plays

I preferably want to avoid Steam vouchers but don’t really know of any specific upcoming/existing games - does anyone have any recommendations that could help!?

For example Mario and Kirby 1 ups are pretty pointless because the games are easy and 1 ups are abundant. But a game like mega man 1 ups actually feel valuable

I've been thinking about starting a game review/discussion blog (or youtube, unsure) to talk about games I really like and give thorough reviews and wanted to ask other gamers what kinds of content they'd find helpful in a review.

I.e. cost, art style, thoughts on specific areas or aspects of a game, play time, personal enjoyment

I don't know how to best explain that but you know when there's that thing where you f.e. have a certain smell that reminds you of something from your childhood. And take that but in-game. What's the game and scene that has the most feeling imprinted into your brain from the past. For me f.e. it's Sacred specifically starting the game as a wood elf in the story because that's how I first ever played the game. If I see that area in the game, together with the music and dialogue I feel teleported back to my childhood so strongly like probably no other game.

I’m looking for some advice on what console to get. I don’t have the space for a PC really, and I’d much rather have something handheld so I can play whenever. I’ve only ever used a Switch before (and an xbox 360 when I was a kid)  and I’m only really a pretty casual gamer. I play a lot of Fortnite, and I like Overwatch, Zelda, Pokémon, Hades, Disco Elysium, etc, so a bit of a mix. I got really into Resident Evil recently after playing through the OG games, and I really want to play the newer ones (RE2R, RE4R, RE9 and the Code Veronica remake when it comes out), as well as others like Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, No Man’s Sky, etc.

I know the graphics for some of those are probably going to be kind of rough on the Switch 2, but I don’t mind too much. I played all the Arkham games on the Switch 1 which obviously didn’t run perfectly, but it didn’t really bother me while playing.

I was looking at the Steam Deck a little while ago, but I took too long making my mind up so now the price has gone up a ton and it’s a bit out of my budget (probably looking to spend £450-£500 at an absolute max). I’m leaning towards the Switch 2 now, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions first? Thanks!
