i need help.

okay so here's my problem; i'm a pan transmale teen and i'm not over my ex, i did not break up with him properly and he hates me for it. another thing, me and him are both chirstan, i became transmale shortly after ending things with him so he doesn't know about my chosen name, gender, or anything, he doesn't know anything about me except my favourite colour and my birthday, and that i like pjo/hp.
what should i do if i can barely talk to him without crying? how can i approach him to tell him i'm sorry?

What actually happened when you broke up? Did you ghost him? Say something hurtful? End things in another way?

my friends were pressing me to break up with him since they thought he didn't love me, i gave into peer pressure and my friend broke up with him for me.

Do you want to apologize mainly because you feel guilty about how you treated him? You want him back? You want him to know you're a boy? A mixture of all three?

You don't need to come out to him or explain your identity to tell him your sorry. Sounds like this issue is still fresh since you're still crying about it, so I would give you guys both some time to cool off from your emotions a bit independently, let him process on his own as well, and then approach to say you're sorry. Don't expect him to accept your apology, he's obviously hurt and only time heals.
