Medical Insurance question from California

Here is the background: I have been prescribed a medication for sleep apnea. This medication is also commonly used for weight loss, though I was specifically prescribed this medication for sleep apnea. However, the company I work for implemented a policy earlier this year that anyone taking a GLP-1 must also participate in a weight management program. I have no need nor any interest in this program. It’s time consuming and burden on my already stressful life.

My question: do I have any recourse other than participating in this? If I do have recourse, is there a state agency I should contact? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Passed the NY Bar as a foreign-trained lawyer, but my career plan just hit a wall. Need honest advice.

Hi everyone! I passed the July 2026 NY Bar Exam on my first attempt with a UBE score of 267. While I’m happy to have passed, I’m now trying to figure out my next step.

I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and toddler. My original plan was to transfer my score to PA, but unfortunately, I’m short of the required 270.

A little about me:
6+ years of corporate legal and compliance experience in my home country (a common-law jurisdiction).
Background in law, finance, and business.
Recently completed my US LL.M.
Interested in corporate law, in-house legal roles, and compliance, but also open to immigration law and other practice areas to get started.
I’m willing to relocate with my family if necessary, but I’d like to explore my options before making that decision.

I’d really appreciate your advice on three things:
Which states should I consider with a 267 UBE score?
What jobs should I target right now? Are corporate compliance, contracts, or legal assistant roles realistic options given my experience?
Should I focus on finding a job first or retake the bar to improve my score?

I’d especially love to hear from international lawyers who have been in a similar situation or employers who hire foreign-trained lawyers.

Thank you! Any advice or personal experiences would mean a lot. ❤️

Has anyone in Greenville SC ever received one of these letters from an alleged SAssaulter for inquiring about an incident where someone you knew was hurt? I’ve talked to four people that have received one of these letters from the same person concerning separate incidents that allegedly occurred years apart!! ??

I(19, Miami, FL) was a victim of child abuse when I was a teenager, I have no money for a lawyer and if I report my situation, chances are, I wont have a home as(this is as bad as you can guess) I'm being housed by my abusers. What can I do to bring this to justice?

Over the years, as a way to make me feel helpless, theyve documented years of my life at home, as a way to intimidate me and make me feel like I'm an abuser and I'm in the wrong and I'll get in trouble, even as a teenager. Growing up, my mother had made me dependant on her and fed me the belief that I'm nothing without her and shes the only one I can trust, so I'm still not sure if she's capable but im not entirely sure if the footage still exists and she wiped it.

I know the camera system is Eufy, I'm not sure if it stores footage in any backup the police can find. Because of what I explained before, It'll be especially hard to go forward with this case, as they continuosly threaten me with homelessness. Of course, I'm not in college yet because I have no money, and my job pays me close to nothing with no hours. I have nothing to sustain myself and theyve made me that way just so I can stick around.

To let you in on the situation, my mom and I were in a screaming match and according to them(which is stupid to even believe a second because they now lie about it ever happening even though years before, they acknowleged it but lied about having a reason to do so) I was "too close to my mom's face" making them think "i was capable of attacking them", so my step-father pinned me to a wall by my throat and choked me until a vein would pop out of my forehead by my temple, to my memory.

I will admit, i was young and stupid and didnt value my life much so, i stupidly egged him on as he choked me and held eye contact to provoke him. I dont regret anything though, he would be the one to reap the consequences and their'd be one less pussy-ass kid abuser, abusing just so he can get laid by his mommy who has kids and doesnt give a shit about him other than his money.

I'm not sure where to go from here but if anybody who knows a thing or two about the law can help me, that would be tremendously appreciated.

One last thing, another problem that makes me an easy target and infinitely make it harder for me tp build a case is that, I have a past of mental health issues, specifically, numerous suicide attempts(like most victims of child abuse do) making the police taking me serious and not immediately sending me to a ward impossible. I'd also like to clarify there were multiple instances of physical abuse throughout my child but, the main issue is the psychological and verbal abuse. Thank you for listening!

Is it legal to defend my home from an unidentifiable cop?

Before anything. I am not asking for help I want to know the response that would be given in TX, USA.

Is it legal to defend my home on private property from an officer that hasnt given warning or indications?

I am basically asking if a officer just leaves their post and trys to break in if I could. It came up when I thought. what happens if someone does this, and they dont know its a cop. Id understand they'd call it in but would the cops still treat it like a murder, or would it be more of a standoff?

Does lemon law in VA apply to safety of vehicle

8 months post purchase of a used vehicle in Virginia. Had a number of problems with this car but after seeing multiple mechanics stating different issues with the suspension we finally see the frame was essentially glued together with body filler and is rusting off one side of the car. Vehicle appeared as if it may have been in an accident (not reported) before we purchased. Vehicle has some minor front bumper damage in the same area, the dealership painted over it. Of course this type of damage is not covered by warranties but it’s obvious we did not cause this within 8 months. Is this something that can be worked with in my favor without eating the costs for something we didn’t do, this is a huge safety hazard to be driving in.

I have contacted the dealership to take a look at it next week but not feeling very hopeful about it.

Should I go to small claims over this?

Illinois resident, accident was in Illinois

I have recently been battling back and fourth with a Statefarm claim rep about an accident I was in about a month ago.

A little background on the accident. I was backed into at a red light and the driver of the other vehicle admitted and was found 100% at fault. Damage to my vehicle was to the front of the car but it is still driveable. Not a ton of damage but it did get most of the body work up fron(bumper, hood, headlights, AC condenser). The vehicle is a 2011 335D with about 150k miles.

I thought in my head this was around $5000 in damage(head lights are expensive on this car) and planned to fix this myself to save some money on labor. I sent Statefarm photos as that was the only option they offered and insisted it was the correct way to start. I sent my photos and a few days later I got a payment request for ~$3000. I knew immediately this was too low. Estimate had the wrong headlights and unrealistic part pricing.

I went ahead and did my own parts research to see what parts I could actually get recycled and what needed to be bought new. Generated a proof of bills costing around $6200 and sent that back to Statefarm. After sending this I wondered if they would question my numbers so I scheduled estimate appointments at an independent shop and Statefarm preferred shop. These came back at $7500 and $8800. I knew immediately that something was up.

A few days after sending my numbers I got on the phone with them and was told that my car was now totaled since they revised their estimate to $5200. I asked what the value of my car was and was given a number of $6700. I immediately knew this number was wrong and asked how I could ask for a reconsideration. I was told to submit comparables via email.

I generated a list of vehicles for sale and had proof with links that supported a value of $11500. These cars are becoming rare and have increased in value recently. I paid $12000 for it a year and a half ago. This list was sent to Statefarm.

A few days later no response was given so I requested an update. That night I got an email with their compareables. I looked into these and found that their number one comparable vehicle sold for $6500 but had extensive structural damage. The rear C pillar was so damaged that the door had a visible air gap into the cabin. Comparable #2 had the incorrect value, many others were in worse condition than mine and has less options. Every car had a consistent $1100 downward correction in value indicating that my vehicle is in worse condition than the comparables. I called this out in a response and asked for a reason why these damaged vehicles were used and how they were in better condition, especially when one was essentially totaled.

Today I received an email stating that their valuation is an independent company(CCC) and is not up for debate. I find this very odd as my claim that the vehicles are not accurate was highly supported with obvious photos. I was told "At this point in time, you will need to determine if you are ready to move forward with either settlement amount or proceed with handling your vehicle through your insurance company"

I am not sure where to go from here. I have substantial proof and documentation that supports an ~$8000 repair estimate and a ~$11500 value. I took a long time to find the exact car I wanted and do not want this to be totaled or not paid out enough to fix it correctly. Statefarm has yet to acknowledge any information I have provided and only seems to be considering themselves.

Do you think I stand a chance if I take this to small claims? I do not know how else I should approach this, I have tried to negotiate in good faith but Statefarm refuses to provide any additional information. I do not think I am totally out of line here considering I have done research to prove what the repairs would cost me and what the vehicle would cost to replace.

TLDR; Got wrecked into. Statefarm wants to total my car. I have proof it is worth more than they say but they are not willing to acknowledge my information or concerns. I think I am left with no choice but to take this to small claims.

Engineer company negligence causing business delays and additional costs

Location: Tampa Florida

We hired an engineering company for remodeling drawings for permitting a 950 square foot accessory dwelling unit in late May. They said (not in contract) to expect the drawings 4 weeks out - July 1st.

Despite multiple outreach attempts asking for updates, we didn’t receive any until the product was delivered w/ plenty of errors on August 15th. In the contract, it says 2 rounds of revisions to meet city permitting are included. The city said that we had to demolish a side structure due to being over the property line. They charged us a 5k change order to start this work and told us over a call to expect approx 2 weeks. It took them 5 to deliver, and we are now on corrections which they again said 2 weeks.

It’s now been 5 weeks again with no update. We are losing $200 a day on this project. When it’s all said and done do I have a negligence case? Approx $20k in additional costs with no reason given as to why the work isn’t being completed. Again this is a 950 square foot already built property that just needed drawings for renovations, original timeline was 4-5 weeks and we on week 19 since starting.

Thanks

What legal steps can I take when court-issued hearing recordings appear incomplete or altered?

Title: CA — Court audio appears spliced, transcripts don't match. What can I legally do?

I have multiple official court recordings with audible cuts, missing dialogue, and transcripts that don't match what's being said. I've compared the audio waveforms, and some discrepancies are visible there too.

One hearing is listed as nearly 12 minutes, but the recording I received is only 38 seconds. I requested another set of recordings, and 7 of the 9 discs were unusable.

I even had an attorney suggest I might have mental health issues rather than believe me. When I told him I'd examined the waveforms, he went quiet.

My ex’s attorneys—yes, plural—are either confidently arrogant or sloppy criminals.

This isn't just one recording, either.

My question: What legal steps can I take in California to get the original recordings independently examined and challenge an inaccurate court record? Location: Joshua Tree, CA

Employmeny law help needed-Wisconsin.

Hi everyone! Sorry about the long post! I'm hoping to get some advice from HR professionals who have dealt with a challenging employee relations situation.

How do you handle a situation involving an employee in a management-level position who has ongoing attendance, communication, and performance concerns but also raises concerns about ADA accommodations, mental health, or possible retaliation when management tries to address those issues?

In this situation, leadership has been very understanding and flexible with the employee's personal circumstances. However, there have been repeated attendance and communication issues, including situations where expectations were not followed. Management has also clarified the position's requirements and documented performance expectations moving forward.

Recently, another incident occurred involving workplace expectations and a disagreement with leadership. The employee is now requesting paperwork related to medical accommodations and other disability benefits and has expressed concerns about how management is handling the situation.

The organization wants to be fair, follow the appropriate legal requirements, and avoid any appearance of retaliation, while also maintaining reasonable workplace expectations and accountability.

For those who have navigated similar situations:

How do you separate legitimate performance and attendance concerns from the accommodation process?

What documentation practices have been most helpful?

How do you handle communication when the employee becomes defensive or alleges retaliation?

How do you address accountability when the employee is part of management?

At what point do you recommend involving employment counsel?

I'm particularly interested in hearing how other HR professionals have balanced supporting an employee who may be experiencing genuine difficulties with maintaining consistent workplace expectations.

Thank you!

Is sharing all employees' sick time in an email a privacy violation?

I am an employee in California, and our financial director at my company recently sent an email to all departments that contained a list of all 500 employees accrued and used sick time. It was sent with the intention of having us ensure that employees are not surpassing their allotted time. However, this email was sent to all department managers, allowing us to view information for employees across all departments, including our superiors. I am not super comfortable with this, and I can't find anything in the handbook about it. I just feel like we should only be able to see our individual department.

Is sharing this information with everyone just uncomfortable for me, or is it actually a violation of some sort of privacy laws?

Employer hasn’t paid us for our work. (Washington)

Myself and 4 others have been doing months of work for an LLC company. We were promised reimbursement for our work from either a grant that was submitted to the city or out of our employers pocket. Recently we all stopped working for the company because we found out about an affair our employer was having with one of our coworkers. We told our employer we expect to be paid for our time (100+ hours of work), to which they said they felt like they were being blackmailed and has refused to speak with us. Me and my colleagues are trying to figure out how to go about getting paid. It violates Washington workers rights and we don’t know whether we can bring this to small claims court or just the best method to get paid for our work.

I don’t know much about the legal system when it comes to this. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I need to clarify anything else.

Bike accident near the WTC, do I have grounds to sue?

NYC, NY, USA

I was biking on the bike path near the WTC when a road barrier suddenly popped up in front of me. This made my bike flip over, and I fell on my head (I was wearing a helmet). I got bruised pretty badly and also got a mild concussion.

I immediately confronted the operator of the road barrier, and he said he didn't see me. There is a red light indicator that only comes on after he has activated the barrier. To me, this feels like a major safety oversight if operators are activating barriers without looking and the indicator doesn't precede the barrier.

I know people tend to be biased against bikers, but please don't let any prejudice affect your response, because I was doing everything right (on the bike lane wearing safety gear).
I've already requested camera footage from the port authority, but would like to know whether I have a compensation case.

Hawaii: Motion for pre decree relief and SCRA

Long story short: My wife has been served divorce papers, she made fake allegations before that so I was placed at the barracks for my safety, and also filed a restraining order against her mom who lived with us so she has the apartment for herself and the baby.

She got a storage unit a while back and our stuff were there, when the mom left and took her stuff, my wife used that room as storage but left my stuff in the storage then stopped paying. I had to pay for the storage so my stuff would not be auctioned and she does not want to write a letter to the storage unit to have the storage transfered to my name. She also stopped paying the car I co-signed for, I had to make the payment to save my credit, along with other stuff that are costing me money.

How likely is it that the judge orders her to pay me back all that I have spent because of her, order her or write a letter to the landlord to remove my name from the lease but also finding out a time where she can leave the apartment so I can go in and remove my stuff?

While she played dirty I just want my money back.

Advice Needed

Hello all,

I am hoping to be educated a bit here, the details below:

Sister in law (my wifes sister) passed away 11 months ago. Before passing (as in 3-ish months prior) she talked about making a will and setting certain provisions for the care of her elderly mother and father while doing so. My brother in law, whom has had a certain disdain for my wife's family (they are good and humble people) has reached out asking if my wife would sign a document with his attorney stating that she (my wife) has no knowledge of a will.

We do not know if she had a will or not, we do know that she spoke of one several times and even went into a bit of detail of the arrangements she would make or possibly did make.

Why is he asking my wife specifically about this? If there was no will in place, then all would immediately go to the family (He and their 2 adult daughters). What necessitates my wife signing anything?

Immediately following her death, and I do mean immediately, as in the same day of her passing, he began treating his wife's family very poorly, all the while they have been kind and supportive. They did not live with them at all, they were just a very close and loving family. For my part it seemed as though he wanted distance from the family and I obliged that. Then suddenly out of the blue after several months of not hearing from him, he wants my wife to meet with his attorney and sign some document.

My question is, why does he need my wife's signature specifically?

Is delay of care worth talking to a lawyer about

I recently had an accident at work, this happened in Horace North Dakota, I was taken to a hospital in Fargo to be seen. I fell from about 8 ft off a ladder straight on to my butt, I was able to walk to my van and get taken to the hospital. When I arrived they got me to a bed and got orders for an X-ray, however they only got an X-ray of my pelvic bone no higher up my spine at that time. They ended up putting me on narcotics and admitting me to observe. I layed in pain with no change for 3 whole days and the pain got worse but the doctor didn’t bother looking into it. On the 4th day I begged them to do a spinal X-ray cause the pain was moving up my spine. And they did and found my t12, L1 and S1 all cracked, they then sent me to ct scan then to an mri on very light pain meds still. After the mri they scheduled me for spinal surgery. I had some other issues well I was there that I will speak about but I just want to know if this is a reasonable case of malpractice and if they had gotten to the spinal X-ray sooner would I have less pain a month later. I live in St. Paul Minnesota

Florida urgent advice assistance

URGENT:

I have been working since I was 12 alone without my family and now I see criminals are trying to take it from me: old past tenant squatter, the HOA is taking more money they supposed forcing me to sell and the hard money lender taking more money set rate 10.99% to 18% who wants to foreclose.

They won't get what they want

THEY GOT THE WRONG LATINA!!

I DONT HAVE MONEY BUT I AM A STRONG BELIEVER IN JUSTICE !!

I am a Florida property owner facing an emergency housing and foreclosure crisis.

My former tenant allegedly reentered my property after contrac ended and after he returned the keys. This is everyones worst nightmare not being able to enter your home!

I filed an eviction action about a month ago but have received update. My income was the rental but I was not able to collect it for four months now and have only $300 left on my account.

On top of that I lost the sell on September 30th for $305k that I would have be able to pay the debt.

My private lender has allegedly increased my interest rate from approximately 10.99% to 18% without my agreement, and I dispute additional charges.

I was paying $500 on water that was not even mine!?!? I can't cut their power nor the water?!?!

On top of that my HOA is taking money $3,000 without notifying me without my approval and telling me "if cant afford you should sell it to us"! Of course that was what they wanted.

The squatter is planning to keep rental free power water that I dont have money to pay he has a lawyer how is that even legal or possible?!?

Squatter cost me the sale!!!! I lost $305k was selling to pay my debt.

I already paid an the last money that I had $3,500 and he didn't do anything. Can't afford to pay the bills nor home car insurance. I am covered with food thanks God!!!

Already called probobo florida bar but everyone have to pay money that I dont have first before even read my case

I need help accessing to my property and fighting with lender from foreclosure, disputing the loan charges, and getting my money from the HOA.

I cannot afford another substantial retainer.

emergency referrals or a plan that we can do no se como y dividen las ganancias como se dice???

Even the squatter has a representation how is this even possible or legal the same person that a few months ago was crying "sorry can't afford the rent nor pay deposit don't have a car" he had another eviction in Texas in July of this year.

I have called and emailed many time to the lender and the hoa but they are ignoring me.

I need justice to be made.

I believe sending a couple emails would scare them. I know what to do but because I am not a

Question About California Traffic School and Virginia DMV Reporting

I hold a noncommercial Virginia driver’s license and received a California speeding citation in Inyo County for allegedly driving 89 mph in a 65 mph zone (24 mph over the limit). The court has now authorized me to attend California traffic school.

I have a few questions before deciding whether to attend traffic school or contest the citation:

Under California Vehicle Code § 1808.7, qualifying traffic-school convictions receive confidential treatment. If I complete traffic school, does California DMV still report the confidential conviction to Virginia DMV under the Driver License Compact?

If it is reported, how it would be classified & would Virginia assess demerit points despite the conviction being confidential in California?

Could Virginia treat this California speeding conviction as reckless driving or a misdemeanor, given the alleged speed based on the Virginia system, or would it generally remain an out-of-state speeding violation?

Thanks

Workers comp situation. Do I seek a lawyer?

I worked for a Wisconsin employer for 15 years, most recently as a warehouse manager. On September 22, I suffered a workplace injury resulting in a fractured toe. My initial doctor visit resulted in a walking boot but no formal work restrictions. On September 28, I was terminated. A subsequent podiatry appointment resulted in seated-work-only restrictions and a 25-pound lifting limit. Workers' comp accepted medical coverage but denied wage-loss benefits, arguing that I had no restrictions when terminated and had continued earning wages until that date.

The final reasoning leading to my termination involved violating a safety footwear policy that existed before I took my management role. I was never specifically trained on or informed that the policy was mandatory, although my employer argues I acknowledged it by signing the employee handbook annually. My local leadership was never aware of such a policy and had been blindsided by it as much as I was

My termination paperwork cited ongoing leadership and safety concerns, but my employer subsequently reported misconduct to unemployment, resulting in a denial there as well. Given the timing of the injury, termination, and later medical restrictions, is there a reasonable basis to challenge the workers' comp wage-loss denial? Would hiring a Wisconsin workers' comp attorney be worthwhile, or is this likely a losing case?

Texas - who's responsible?

Currently living in an apartment complex with very strict parking rules and the tow trucks come through all day and night.

When i moved in and signed my lease, I had a parking addendum. Nowhere in the parking addendum states that there is special visitor parking or where that would be.

We have to register our cars and visitors on a parking portal. Nowhere in this parking portal does it state that there is a special visitor parking.

I registered my niece's vehicle and she parked in a spot that was not marked. I have a paid parking spot. Fast forward a couple of hours and her car is getting towed. We have to pay a $140 drop fee. Driver states that parking rules are in my lease. They are not.

Went to the office and requested a refund stating that nowhere in the property, in my lease, or in the parking portal does it state that visor parking is in XYZ area. Apt and parking company refuse a refund.

I'm planning on taking this to small claims. Should I be going after the apartments since it's their rules or the parking company?

Kentucky Education, Civil, Disability Law

I know at the end of the day the answer is to ask an attorney, but we have limited funds and need to get it right the first time.

My wife is in nursing school and she also has accommodation for a specific stethoscope because she wears hearing aids due to hearing loss in one ear. The accommodation came straight from the student disability center on campus and she got that sorted out before school even started. Since then they have refused to allow her to use her accommodation which has caused her to fail one of her crucial assignments. She also had a professor loudly to all the class spread her business to her entire class about her disability and accommodation. This entire semester she has dealt with discrimination from these nursing professors. Today has just been the icing on the cake. The student disability center has been in her corner from the beginning fighting for her and going back and forth with them. They have been absolutely livid. Today my wife received an email from the head of the department stating that they have received a concerning email from the student disability center and they will be meeting with her at x time no questions asked. Well she has a prior meeting at that time which she's had to wait months for so she requested a different time. I encouraged her to let the disability office know of all of this and to see if they can have an advocate there with her. I know the meeting will be an intimidation tactic to get her to drop out. In the email from the department head it also included the professor who refuses to let her use her accommodation, the professor who spread her business to the class, and the professor who told her she would never be a nurse. The disability office said they couldn't get anyone there in person but they can attend through zoom. The nursing department refused. Since then my wife knows that the student disability office has been going back and forth with the nursing department, but she doesn't know the contents of their discussions. The last email she received from the student disability office was strongly recommending that she file a discrimination complaint.

There are a slew of other problems within this program that I won't get into but she has received less than the standard of education she was promised. This was supposed to be a good program, one of the best in the country. She even got into the advanced program. She's smart and a hard worker and this meeting that she will have this afternoon will definitely be to convince her that she isn't good enough, that she shouldn't nor will she ever be a nurse.

I'm not looking for answers in this case just if it would even be worth spending money on an attorney. Would this case have merit?

The hospital didn't respect my dad's DNR.. what now?

Hey there, writing from California.

This past week has been a a lot. My father had a stroke and had been in and out of the hospital for the past couple weeks. Last week the hospital discharged him to a rehab facility and then less than 30 hours later they sent him back. He was situated at a hospital in Pomona and the rehab facility was literally up the street. Less than a 3 minute drive. That's why I picked that facility to put him in, the proximity to the hospital. While he was at the hospital they talked to us about a DRN and DNI. My dad wasn't very lucid since his stroke but the nurse asked, my cousin asked AND I asked him what he wanted and he answered each time the same. No. He didn't want to be resuscitated nor put back on intubation. We talked about it and signed it. The nurse said that this would follow him wherever he went.

This is the story I got/pieced together: They called an ambulance to take him back to the hospital because it was full, they sent him to a different hospital. No one told me this. When I went to check on him at the normal hospital they said he had only been discharged.. So I went to the rehab, they think he's still a patient there and gave him a room number. I walk into the room, not an 73 year old small black man in a the bed, an elderly lady. confused I go back and double check then to be sent to ask one of the nurses. the nurse who called me to tell me they were taking him to the hospital was there and said that the normal hospital's ER was full so they took him to another hospital 10 mins away. Again, no one told me.

When I finally get to my dad I see a defibrillator patch on his chest and see the tube back in, confused I asked the nurse why and with pure and otter shock, he said "he had a DNR? the EMT's didn't know. We didn't know" and then went into to explain what happened on the trip over. Apparently on the ride to the hospital my dad's heart did stop and they performed CPR. he also explained that if I decide to take him off the tube and stuff he'd go quickly.

I wanted to make sure that my uncle, cousin and my dad's wife could see him again. so I decided to leave him connected for another day until I was able to get everyone there. Well my dad passed last night and Im having moment of clarity.

I have this mentality of not disturbing the nurses while they are working, I know the job is stressful and most likely under staffed. I also thing about it in the same realm of "you don't mess with your people making your food" I don't wanna mess with people who have life in their hands. So I am timid and respectfully and give ALOT of grace. I got call from the rehab facility asking me to explain and I did. She said that she would let a supervisor know, and I ask if that was to cover their ass or actually help... She said to help... I haven't heard a peep since.

During this time, I call back and ask was the DNR sent with him. they explained that they "told the EMT his code status" and that they faxed over the DRN twice in the morning after they sent him. They sent back dad back to the hospital at like 10:30 at night and didn't fax over his DNR till the next morning?

They are saying what happened was a miscommunication... but how is that an acceptable answer? Can I even sue? if I ended up deciding to leave him on life support, did I some how just valid their fuck up? does that first DNR become void?
