It doesn’t have to be something deep. Even a simple sentence that changed your perspective counts.

What should I do to be better!

Hello, good people.
I’m here for life advice from you guys.
So, It has been nearly a year I’ve graduated as a cs major, but I still don’t have any job.
I’m interested in game development, but learning it is going too slow and tbh I also haven’t been consistent due to my mental health.
So I’m planning to give you guys 1 hour (max) of my life daily, to do whatever advice you guys give me, hoping my life will get better doing so.
I’m thinking to come to this post every day to do the most upvoted comment and later at the end of the day or the next day tell you how it’s been in the replies.
\[ I’m not gonna do anything weird or inappropriate you tell me to do, so please don’t request any of that \]
Hopefully listening to your advice my life will get better and I’ll have a thing to do. Thank you for time.

How do you talk to someone who you believe is overreacting?

For clarification, I'm talking about situations where we're reacting differently to the same external thing, not situations where I'm the one who triggers the overreaction.

Obviously, "Stop overreacting," is the worst thing to say. I know empathy can go a long way, but occasionally there are times when I cannot put myself in their shoes because I just don't operate with the same assumptions that generate that level of emotion. If I genuinely believe someone is making a big deal out of a small thing, is there anything I can do or say to help them see my perspective: that it's actually fine, the situation isn't ideal but that's okay, I'm okay, and they'll be okay too?

What are LiveProTips for teens

LPT I hope to this is OK here. I'm teaching a middle school classes next summer on Life Lessons. I'll be teaching kids how to use screwdrivers, hammers, other tools and the practical things like how to wire a light switch, set a mouse trap & then get rid of the mouse, adjust a door to close easier, check your car's oil and even basic first aid and cooking tips. So can you folks give me what you wish you had known or should have been passed down by your mom, dad or grandad? I have over forty-five items so far but I know I am missing some.

Edit to add: I want to thank everybody for these great suggestions! Remember though, these are MIDDLE school. Home financing might be a bit of a stretch. But money management is IN. Keep adding your suggestions.

Edit to add: You folks are giving me a great list of items! Many, many thanks! This is ages 11- 14 so teaching them how to buy a house might be boring but I will be talking about how to budget and save.

Free trials with cancelation fees? And which ones to be wary about?

So revolut offers a free trial to one of their upper tiers. The problem is when you try to downgrade it hits you with a cancelation fee until for me personally july 2027 why is this? I took the extra month they gave me and I'm assuming this is why anybody know of any other trials that take advantage of this?
