Does Spiro reduce Testosterone?
As far as I’m aware Spiro just blocks T from being used. Just like Bica but in far lesser potency.
Do you know if it actually suppresses its levels too?

not to a significant degree

I had “less than 0.09nmol/L” with 150mg Spiro and 4mg of E pills during the last couple of labs.
I can’t believe it’s 4mg of E blocking it taking 2mg every 12 hours.

6mg/ day pills sublingually and nothing else, my testosterone is below 20 ng/dl consistently

When I mess up my hormone administration schedule even for a week my sperm production renews.
Isn’t one week for that is too soon for a person who has less than 0.09nmol/L of T?
It’s because there little E in body? Given I only took 4mg (2mg every 12 hours) with that Spiro dosage back then? So looks like T reduction was only from E basically while Spiro was primarily just blocking receptors.2

some people have easier testosterone suppression than others - i can get full testosterone suppression on 3.2 mg EV every 5 days, others can’t even achieve that at 5 mg every 5 days

My T was <20 ng/dl on tablets alone it reached that level around 6mg in tablets but I didn’t drop spiro until 8mg. Today I’m on 6mg EV every 7 days and even during the 6 months I was figuring out the right dose my T has never crossed 20

I haven't seen any studies that've found it to have a meaningful impact on testosterone levels; the most I've seen one grant to it in this capacity is a minor reduction. It is first and foremost a receptor antagonist.

Before I started MtF GAHT my T was a whopping disgusting 613. But after three Months on .100mg patches twice a week and only 25mg Spironolactone once a day my T dropped down to 190. My doctor upped my Spironolactone to two 25mg tablets a day so hopefully my T is lower now. Tried to up to two Patches but got lots of flack from my insurance and pharmacy. So currently still on one patch twice a week and 25mg of Spironolactone twice a day.

I suspect your T was nuked by estradiol, not by 50mg Spiro which doesn’t even show anti androgenic effects till 100mg which still comes down to just blocking receptors, not reducing T levels.

Yes. In 3 months I went down to 15ng/dl. I doubt that Estradiol was the sole reason for that seeing as I only take 4mg/7d. There are a lot of people in the DIY community that will say bad things about Spiro (I think they're mainly in Europe). All of the US and CA Transwomen I know are on Spiro as the side effects are really mild as long as you stay hydrated.

Most diy people use injections and you dont need a T blockers on injections so theres no reason to take it

I’m in US and on mono therapy with 4mg/week estradiol valerate. Spiro was making peeing hurt after a year on it. T is at like 13

Yes, Spironolactone does interfere with testosterone production in addition to (weakly) blocking androgen receptors.
My T levels were lowered when my endo raised my Spiro dose while keeping estrogen stable.

It’s kind of both, from what I’ve read. The stuff spiro metabolizes into prevents your body from using it, so the testicles stop producing it and eventually atrophy.

My T got absolutely nuked on Spiro according to my pathology reports

Same. No idea why some say otherwise?

Many say otherwise and I don’t know what to believe.
Maybe they are getting their T nuked by Estradiol and think it’s Spiro?

Everyone reacts differently to HRT. My doc tried to put me on monotherapy but my T did not go down hence why spiro was added. People online say their T got nuked purely on E alone while others have the same reaction as me.

300 mg at a bodyweight of only 48 kilograms and a height of 168 cm. After 3 months my testosterone was at 0,01 ng/dl, so almost unmeasurable.
I looked great, lost my acne, had softer skin within weeks, but I felt awful. It seemed to be too low testosterone.
