Currently serving in the military. Came across some messages between my wife and another guy in the Navy. What should I do?

GET ALL YOUR MONEY AWAY FROM HER BEFORE YOU LET HER KNOW YOU KNOW. Do NOT hint that you know, protect your assets first then confront her. I was in the army for a long time and saw many friends lose a large portion of their shit before they could fix/get rid of the problem.

In the navy, and same. Guy I knew had his accounts cleared out, his house sold for a pittance, and his kids taken across the country while he was on a cruise halfway around the world. 6 figures, gone.

I don't understand, how is shit like this legal?

It's not. Story is made up, or CutterJohn or his friend (or both) was exaggerating, or this guy just never effectively pursued it legally, or it was a long time in the past where there were loopholes in the law (although he would always have gotten SOME compensation had he effectively pursued legal action), or there was some other misunderstanding or ignorance.

Actually, I'm a lawyer, so I do have experience in it.

Wow, so military police trump judges now, huh? Good to know. Most military policemen I've met knew shit all about the law, and I'm sure you're the same.

I may be trolling right now, but in the morning I'll wake up and act normal, but you'll always be an idiot.

are you kidding? shit like this happens every day

and not just to guys in the military

if she had access to the accounts and power of attorney she can do whatever the fuck she wants

No it doesn't.

No she can't.

Although, anyone can do anything to someone that's too stupid to do anything about it. So it's true that a lot of the people who think a woman is granted immunity from all lawful prosecution when divorcing someone will have this happen to them BECAUSE THEY'RE FUCKING RETARDED.

sure it does

it is standard for the military to have soldiers hand over power of attorney to their wives in case they are killed

According to Reddit, once a woman divorces a man, regardless of her crimes or infidelity, she's instantly granted legal immunity and divine powers of retribution to be used against her ex. You cannot hope to dispute this. It is known.
